Tries hard yes but struggles to keep up with the best mids. Poor Tucky was out of juice just before 3/4 time on Saturday. Looked totally stuffed coming off.

Then Tuck should be given the captaincy cause he would fit in well as past captains ;D
Campbell & Johnson are slow are poo but Tuck does the hard stuff & gets in & gets hurt for the others who refuse to get down & dirty & put thier bodys on the line when it counts
-
tuck goes in 100% , the captain does not have to be the most skillfull player but one that never gives up and plays hard. tuck is the man
-
Should have been traded 2 years ago, he should be offered up again at the end of the year, and some of you blokes wanna make him captain lol. I wouldnt having him captaining the bingo nights at Punt Rd let alone captaining the football side.

you just don't understand nor appreciate the hard work and efforts this guy puts in. i guess if he was greek you would be saying otherwise, change his name to tuckopoulos and you would say he is a legend!
-
Tuck would make a fine captain coming from one of the greatest footballing families
His has no end for getting wealthy advise & his father the VFL/AFL games record holder was a very late bloomer.
Shane Tuck is getting better every season & B&F votes say likewise
getting puff out in games just shows his workrate & how much his body takes getting hit
watch your replays over Ramps & see who the player is who is always getting the ball out
-
Tuck is lucky to get a game let alone captain the mighty Tigers. Get rid of him while he's worth something.
He may get lots of the pill but ball use is attrocious.
They wont trade him though, they'll wait til he's no good then delist him for nothing.
Same as they did with Bowden. Should trade him out to. Softest footballer in the AFL.

You put Tuck on the trading table and Carlton will snap him up for he is the type of player they need to free Judd up from doing the hard work and with Judd running free they will be premiership material :banghead

I never questioned his effort, his effort is good but imho he butchers the footy. As for the greek thing, lol ... I dont care if the players are greek or non greek, if they can play they play and if they cant they cant. Its simple really. As for captaincy lol ... you blokes should be at the comedy festival. Hes lucky to be in the 22 let alone be captain.

Carlton want Newman not Tuck
-
I certainly appreciate the in and under work that Tucky does and he's definitely a required player with Johnson approaching the end and Coughlan's return unsure. That being said, I wouldn't make him captain.
-
:nope :nope :nope
-
Foot soldier as a corporal - not a captain

your spot on Mopsy, these types of players create the play & give advantage to the ball carriers rather than get the ball out themselves or they are used to hold the ball up stopping the opposition from winning the centre clearances. They protect the ball carriers & take the hard hits that are meant to put the ball carriers out of the game.
Tuck is a required player

Shane Tuck Captain ... ... No
-
I've been watching Tuck a lot closer this year and although his disposal is not top shelf he is our hardest nut at the ball in the midfield. He is playing a very physical and important role, especially while the majority of our future mids are still growing into their bodies. Captain - no, trade or replace - not for a few years yet.

yes very strong in the body is Shane Tuck, his very good at getting his arms out in a tackle,
has a style that is great for the kids to watch & learn from him, when getting tackled to get your arms free & lift your body above the tackle to let off the quick handball to keep the ball moving through the midfielders.
Only negative with this style is you leave your body open for punishment, taking one for the team is what l call it :thumbsup
One of my favorite players is Tucky & one who will protect your Cogs when he returns Smokey :thumbsup
-
In a word...NO!! Tuck is a foot soldier, not a leader.
-
Give it to Richo for a year, then Deledio for at least 6.
-

l got no doubt Richo will be the next captain :thumbsup
-
Tuck is my favorite player in the team as I love the how he is always working hard. He's is not the most tallented player we have as it has been said before. But he's a hard worker. I saying all this I still wouldn't give him the job as captain, we need just a littlle something more than he's got. If I had to vote today for a new captain it would got to Newman is the one for me. But if Shanee was to get the job I would be really happy you never know it might really bring more out of him.

Anyone know why Tuck has tape on his ears during matches?

Anyone know why Tuck has tape on his ears during matches?
More to the point, should it be noted in the footy record as a gear change. :lol
-
Anyone know why Tuck has tape on his ears during matches?
So that no-one rips out his pearl earrings. ;)
-
Anyone know why Tuck has tape on his ears during matches?
he tapes them back like rugby players, unlike all our other players, tuck is the only one in our team that has his head over the ball 24/7, dives into every pack and as a consequence has had his ear lobes ripped. so he tapes them to protect them as he knows he is the only one who really goes in hard 200%
never ever see captain pee pee fight and protect as hard as tuck! so who is leading by example?

:clapping exactly Shannon your very wise today ;D

seems like this X fella must have had an impact on a few people, must have been some kind of character ::)
-
Ox, you are usually pretty intuitive with these things but unless X has gotten his school certificate during his enforced sabbatical from this forum, the posting of shannon appears to be a little too articulate for X. Either that or he has learned to copy and paste from word after a thorough going over with a spell/grammar checker. :lol
If it is X, the subtle gender change is a real worry but then again, maybe he was always into that. I just keep thinking about Italians and body hair. :scream It paints a really awful picture. Remember Klinger from M.A.S.H?? Sure he was Lebanese but you get the picture. :lol

he rang jak and lagged himself.

so childish

Back to the topic folks
-
:ROTFL Yeah let's stay in the land of mediocracy for another decade. As much as i like Tuck's character and hardness, he is lucky to be in our best 22. Do we ever want to be a real champion team? One more year for Tuck and he should be delisted. No offence to him personally. If we are serious of ever becoming a genuine flag threat the likes of Tuck, Johnson, Hyde, & Jackson, etc... have to be weeded out. Why is it that RFC supporters more than any other overrate their players? We've been starved of success for so long that we cling to any player that shows any resemblance of ability.
GO TIGES!!!

Gosh the mention of Brandavino takes me back.
It was 95c a bottle last time I bought one back in the seventies.
A cheap hangover.
Is it still available?
:cheers

Not sure, but stones was the drink of choice for me. I must be younger though as it cost me $4.50 in the late 80's

Best drink ever sitting around a campfire in the middle of winter - and I hate scotch, but mixed with Green Ginger it's a mellow drop that warms the cockles of your heart.
Helps you get over the flu too!!
