Yep it's extremely slow today. I can't access it normally at all. I've had to use a proxy service to finally get on now. The site's host has been contacted but no reply yet so there's not much we can do. Sorry about this. We're not happy about it either so bear with us until the problem is fixed.

maybe the site needs a cleanout

TM, we know the homepage hasn't been updated for a long time but that is simply a case of not having the time to do it. This current issue doesn't have anything to do with the homepage

We've sent off more emails to our hosts today and are still waiting on a detailed reply. All we've had so far is their stock standard response of "we're investigating"

Trust me they have received a very curt email from yours truly late today.

Perhaps we should get you all to bombard them with complaints  :help

I can assure everyone we (Mr One-eyed, MT & Me) are as frustrated as you are.

Been doing alot of this  :banghead :banghead ourselves.

We understand everyone's frustration and we do appreciate everyone's patience ....

We are investigating other options if we don't get a satisfactory response shortly

I'm finding the site has been working fine this week TM. It's been okay since we had that problem early last week which lasted 3 days.  Having said that the forum needs to be updated to its latest version so I'll do that when I get a free moment.
