Not sure if Kerr's 100% confirmed playing this week due to the injury caused by that stingray but if he is who should get the job on him?

Kerr's still in doubt.
Eagles welcome back two; Kerr in doubt
By Nathan Schmook
12:51 PM Wed 09 July, 2008
Since gathering 40 disposals against Hawthorn nearly a fortnight ago, Kerr has battled knee troubles, a virus and a stingray attack.
Worsfold said he would consult his chief midfielder this afternoon but was confident Kerr had benefited from the time off provided by the split round.
"I've really got to talk to Daniel this arvo and see how he is, there seems to be a lot of doubt on him," Worsfold said. "He had a virus the other day, so I just want to see how he is overall.
"He's had a few issues, obviously the stingray incident has held him back a fair bit, but they may have been good for his knee. His fitness is pretty good so it's been a good break for him."

I heard on SEN driving home that Kerr was not playing

Then we need someone good to sit with him in the stands.

Finally, Chris Hyde's run-with role is pursued with dedication. :whistle

The news tonight had Worsfold saying Kerr's still feeling the affects of the stingray, footballer's knee and had the flu. AFL site saying Kerr is doubtful but Brett Jones and David Wirrpanda are back.

Bugger.

kerr is not a prick and would be very welcome at our club. fantastic midfielder
-
Shannon, you need to come to grips with the facts of life if you are to call yourself a TRUE RICHMOND SUPPORTER.
Everyone that plays for the opposition in a game against our Mighty Tigers is a prick.
If you have affection for Kerr then go and barrack for the bloody Weagles.
The Tigers do not have time to consider weak supporters. Get on board or get off.

Kerr ready to face Tigers challenge
West Australian
11th July 2008, 10:30 WST
Daniel Kerr says he will be fit to play in West Coast’s crunch game with Richmond on Sunday despite a troubled two weeks.
Kerr was stung by a stingray during a recovery session following the Eagles’ 57-point loss to Hawthorn a fortnight ago.
Since then he has been under the weather and was rated a big doubt for Sunday’s game against the Tigers at Subiaco Oval.
But Kerr this morning said he expected to line up for John Worsfold’s side as they battle to avoid the shame of the wooden spoon.
“I got stung by the stingray then I had a little bit of the flu, so it hasn’t been a great preparation for the game, but come Sunday I’ll be fine,” Kerr said at the launch of the Vodafone iPhone in Perth.
“The weather is probably going to be a bit damp and the ball will be slippery, so we’ll have to account for that.”

I guess Kerr just proved that he is a bigger prick than any stingray.
4 weeks.
-
If the eagles are smart theyll trade him, hes not half the player he was without the help from Judd and Cousins.
-
You're right Ramps. Undisciplined and paid no respect to his direct opponent at stoppages and his kicking is no where in the league of a Judd or Cousins. As they said on the radio it's like he doesn't want to be part of a side that is struggling.

The way he's going they'll be lucky to get a 1st round pick for him.
-
Kerr copped 4 weeks from the Match Review Committee. So 3 weeks with a early plea.
-
After watching the various replays and camera angles Kerr was lucky to get just 3 weeks. Intentional, high contact and should be classed as behind the play even though Whitey was just 5m away from Morton. Whitey wasn't in the play or going for the ball. The hit was from behind as well. What bravery >:( ::).

some richmond supporters seem to believe that we should trade for him at seasons end.
d.o.b- 16/5/1983
making him 26 next May (May 2009)
27 (2010)
28 (2011)
29 (2012)
What this season has proved is that Kerr seems to have become frustrated by the lack of eagles support around him (Judd & Cousins) and a lack of success. He may also be carrying niggles, he seemed slow on the weekend.
The key questions are
1) Is he young enough for us to become interested
2) Whats the impact he brings and does his recruitment allow Foley, Cotchin and Deledio to run "more free" away from hard tags from the best taggers.
3) If we end up with say pick 6 or 7 ... will we get any youngster that can bring equivalent quality down the track.
4) If we trade for Kerr we would have to give up our 1st pick, if we trade for Warnock we are out of the 2nd round. In effect, we have chucked ourselves out of the draft. Is it worth it?

1. Miller might be interested :P but the answer should be nup. At 26 in 2009, by the time our mids peak he'll be in his late 20s and slowing down. He's already showing signs of wear and tear in the past year.
2. Short term (next 3-4 years) he'd make it easier. The next question is will we win a flag in that time? I think the answer is unlikely given how young our list is and our future midfield still in its embryonic stage (Foley 22, Lids 21, Cotchin 18, etc).
3. Last year we were willing to give up picks 2, 18 and 19 for Judd. If we had been allowed to we would have missed out on Cotchin (and Rance) who has 7-8 years on these traded recruits and will play for us for the next decade at least barring serious injury.
4. Eagles will want at least our 1st pick and will probably ask for our 2nd rounder or a young player as well. To chuck ourselves out of the last untampered draft by trading away our picks for just one player while we are still rebuilding would be a disgrace. Let's develop our own champions as successful clubs do.
