Title: Dean Polo
Post by: one-eyed on July 13, 2008, 10:04:07 PM
How did we all rate Polo's game today?

He seems to have gained back the confidence in his shoulder since coming back into the side.

Yep, he's finally getting back to what we know he can be.  :thumbsup

I thought he was quite good.

We just need Meyer back in the side on a HFF and the 2004 draft doesn't look too bad at all.

As a TAC player Polo played off the HBF alot
he played well yesterday but must lift even more to stay at this level
one of my favorite players before drafted  :thumbsup

You'd want to hope so, there wasn't much of him to begin with.

I like Polo for two reasons.

1) he ripped essendon
2) he is tough

Good on him loved, the way he played from Dreamtime 2006.
Good to see he has got his head straight and is playing some good footy. Still can be anything Deano after all he gave Franklin a bath at Box Hill on Anzac Day in 2006. :thumbsup

Ok game. Didnt disgrace himself at all and played his part.

I like Polo alot and think he's in our best 22.

He played well, he is a good player and needs games in the senior team to develop.

Polo is almost the forgotten Tiger amongst our cubs but he's been a bit of a quiet achiever over the past 4 weeks since he's come back into the side. Adds depth to our midfield and can fill a small role down back.

Even though he's from the 2004 draft, he's still relatively inexperienced.

I think he'll be a good stopper for us.

One thing though, on the weekend against the Bumbers, where was that handball meant to go when he ran inside 50??

It was probably a blessing for us that it got chopped off and ended up with Brown.

Every Tiger supporter wanted Polo in the side. How did we all rate his effort today?

I thought he was quite good. I like to see him developed as the player who plays on small opposition forwards.

I thought he was serviceable. His disposal needs work but I can't fault his dedication nor application. Overall a good game. Has done enough to cement his place. I hope Terry thinks so too.

Tough, hard and never gave up. Even if he didn't have the skills and talent he has those first three attributed would be enough for me to warrant a place in the side.

I suspect King may miss next week after collecting a player in the head.

Polo did not let Richmond down today....Keep up that form and he will play every remaining game this year.

Very cool in the back half. Tough too.

Probably get dropped for McMahon next week.

why should he get dropped? he doen his job today and we need him in the side to further his development.

mcmahon is a complete waste of space and if you think this team needs then you or anyone are dillusional.

Wooooooah Dan, ease up and read it again and I think you'll find your scathing attack is at a person who agrees with you.  :rollin

And I agree with both of you, Polo is far more beneficial.

And just think we gave young Selwood or Ward for McMahon  :banghead and by the way I agree Polo is more beneficial to us than McMahon who should be traded for a pizza and a can of coke come years end.

Capriciosa with anchioves please :lol

It is unlikely McMahon will get the call up this week over Polo given his poor form and lack of defensive pressure playing for Coburg.

Agree Ramps. I think the back pocket is Polo's ideal position for the team. I see our other small defenders as more offensive rebounders than old fashion hard as nails defenders.

Not sure either of those has shown enough to embarass us..ward had 10 possies for 30% efficiency on weekend and selwood , well lets just say apart from Joel, they are ALL ordinary...settle down son

Still, would have been nice to keep that top 20 draft pick and have a punt on a highly rated kid

i dont care for the insults partner, Joels bros are nothing we havent already got in abundance..that is a few too many average players...First Ive heard of claims those selwood boys excl Joel are anything better than AVG, you related or something ::)

No he's not Mr Jangles but I am and I agree 100% with you.  Adam and Troy are average mids at best, Joel is good but let's see how he goes in a poor side before chucking the 'champion' tag at him and Scott has done nothing yet to indicate how good (or not) he will be.
