Just on the Miller sacking

* Hutchy asked Caro that she must feel vindicated as she wanted Miller sacked for a long time. Caro said she never called for Miller's sacking. Just questioned his performance. It wasn't a surprise once he stepped down from the board. Feel for him the way he was sacked but it happens a lot in footy.

* Archer asked Caro what did Miller do wrong. Caro said he came to the club saying give me 5 years and I'll win you a premiership. Hutchy said he was sacked by the board he put in place. Caro said well not all of them and he wanted to get Rex Hunt on the board but forget to check that he wasn't a member.

* Caro said Wallace said the players weren't affected as they didn't know until afterwards. Archer said what about in the weeks to come. He remembers at North 95% of the players were close to Miller and when a person you're close to leaves or is sacked it affects you. It's typical Richmond choosing the worst possible of time for these things to happen. Caro said that's rubbish. It happens at all clubs and used a couple of Collingwood examples from last year. She also said we've been a stable club in recent times even under Danny giving him 5 years.

* Hutchy said they asked March to come on tonight and refused. Caro said well Stynes was too and refused. Hutchy said March was their first choice and Stynes faced the music last week.

* Hutchy picked up March on some inconsistencies he said about when Miller found out or not. Caro didn't have a problem with it and it made sense.

* The others said the club has shot itself in the foot on the eve of a finals campaign. Caro dismissed our wins as we haven't beaten anybody good. She then said Melbourne has it troubles which Lyon responded Melbourne aren't in the finals race. Caro said this coming from "puppet boy" and Lyon said don't get shirty with me because you're copping it.

Summary of Browny's interview

* Lyon said it's not much of a hot seat as the Tigers are doing well. Browny said it's good to be here.

* Miller's sacking had no impact on the game. Browny found out an hour before as the whispers were going around the room. A lot of the boys didn't know though.

* He's disappointed but that goes for anybody who leaves. I don't have anything to do with admin. Greg's always been good to him.

* Doesn't beleive it will affect the team. In the wrong caper if you let it. Greg's been a great face around the club.

* Finals - Know in 2-3 weeks time. More exciting that we know we're still alive and it's the anticipation that is exciting. We didn't have that last year of course.

* Leadership group/ senior players have stood up and played good footy which allows the young guys to follow and do their thing. Last year the senior players had a poor year.

* Sugar nipped his incident in the bud. He was in good form at the time remember but admitted he stuffed up and embarrassed himself and took the lead and said this is the way we'll go from here on. He's been great.

* They showed Joel winning the last two games. Browny said Joel was dropped for a lack of defensive actions - zoning off too much. He was getting the possessions but the tackling and defensive pressure wasn't there. Browny said he and Richo were told off too. Joel's been fantastic since he's been back and even at Coburg his attitude was great.

* Moore - in our junior leadership and Browny has no dobut Moore will be in our senior leadership group next year. Kel doubted himself early in his career so worked a lot on his game and the more he plays the more confident he becomes. Has played on Browny, Lloyd, Pavlich, Franklin etc and hasn't been thrashed.

* Tambling - people still forget he's only 21. Aboriginal kids taken out of their familiar environment take a bit longer. He's come out of himself within the club but the more he comes out outside that environment that's when he'll really come good and that's what he did on the weekend. Lyon said he was still running hard when others were tiring which was astonishing.

* Last year - worst moment was the stress fractures. Doubted himself after only having 4 possessions and whether he could still do it but he didn't think about retirement. People around him showed him tapes to keep the faith.

* Changing clubs - worst part is ringing up your friends Darcy, Murphy, Gia and telling them you're leaving. They know the reason you're leaving - can't come to terms with the club but it's still tough. He sat down with Rhode who he still has a lot of respect for and told him he was leaving. Takes a lot of guts even though people think you're gutless for leaving.

Coaches votes (Wallace and Matthews)

6 Tambling
6 Tuck
5 Simmonds
4 Richo
4 Bowden

I think Lyon mumbled at the end that Richo is on the footy show on Thursday night.

Mr One-Eyed forgot to mention that Hutchy said that they had asked Miller to come on last night but he refused because of Caro as he (Miller) felt she had undermined him over the last 12-18 months

Hutchy certainly took the big stick to March not coming on the show, said he owed it to the Richmond fans to come on and face the music

Caro said that she never underminned him (miller) just questioned his performance ..... :rollin

Hmmmmm having read all her articles they certainly just didn't question his performance - some were personal  :help

Pretty big copout for March not to turn up and put forward his side of the story. Very gutless.

Especially gutless as Browny had to go on instead as club representative to face the music over something he had nothing to do with. It was an off-field board decision so why send a player in  ::). Browny was all class  :clapping which is something that can't be said of moron March  ::).
