He got his name wrongly mentioned in this morning's paper by Mark Robinson as a delisting but is Staff safe. We lack talls/ruckmen and he has done a pretty good job when available but the 3 years he has been at Tigerland he has missed a number of games each year. What you'd reckon should happen to him - keep or trade/delist?
-
When is he out of contract?
I rekkon keep him,who else do we have.
-
Must keep....I almost fell over when I read his name in the paper today....
One of the few genuine hard guys and can be a big plus for our club if used right....
Again just to make sure Sir William heard me....MUST KEEP!
-
Seeing as Marsh was delisted, I was surprised that Staff was then also mentioned as a possible delisting :-\ and figured that we either had a replacement worked out, were just planning on winging it for next season :help, until we find another ruckman at some stage, or the journos got it wrong.
We can’t possibly delist Staff and only have one ruckman for next season, can we? Even if we recruit another ruckman who is ready to go for next season, Staff is a handy back up, even if he only plays 8 – 15 games and would be of good value, as the third string ruckman and playing a bit up forward.
Keep. :thumbsup
-
I forgot.....please dont say that Ray Hall is a ruckman.....
Even if Sir William does want to play the worst-tap-ruckman in the league as #1....Staff can take some heat off Richo, we know his hands are safe and he can be a potential match-winner as we saw last year with Melb....
-
Must keep. Especially when Otto hasn't signed that new contract yet :-\ and turfed Marsh who was only ever going to be the back-ups back-up.
Is a natural leader as well and let's be honest we don'thave many of them either
And I agree om21 - Ray Hall aint no ruckmen.
-
Keep...one year contact :cheers
-
Trade.
reason being he is NEVER going to be injury free.
Has a continuing hip problem and is getting on in age!
Also, does too many stupid things, repeat offender as well !
Sorry, I like staff but has to be traded

Your reasons Jackstar mean that he probably cannot be traded - his value aint that great. Who would take him? ;)
-
A club like the Kangaroos might take him on a one year contract, also it might be to his advanatge as he could be put on Veterans List .?

He doesn't qualify for the veterans list because he hasn't spent 10 years at the one club and he aint 30 yet :thumbsup

Well, he would want to get fit very quickly or forge his birth certificate as he might be in strife ! :shh

Please dont say that....especially with that face at the end....it worries me.
-
Dont you worry OM 21, its Greg Stafford who should be worried.
Really if he doesnt get 100% fit , he shouldnt be there!
-
Would reckon there might be a few others in that catergory Jackstar :-\.

Definitely keep. Our ruck really hasn't bee the same since Benny Gale left. And someone please get a better ruck coach than Stewie Loewe. Stafford may seem undisciplined but the media (especially messrs. walls, sheahan & healy) really do tend to crucify him. No more undisciplined than Matthew Lloyd.

I was listening to TripleM on Saturday driving home and they were saying that Wallace had spoken to Paul Salmon on Saturday - they were saying/joking Fish could be our ruck coach - joke or not I could think of worse
