That time of the year for the 'yeah or neah' polls ;).
Jacko played 11 matches in his 5th year on our list averaging 17 disposals, 4 marks and a total of 4 goals.
Started the year in the seniors for the first 3 rounds then only played one-offs against St Kilda and Melbourne before playing the final 6 games of the season averaging 20 disposals. Jacko played mainly in a run with role in the midfield this year. He's apparently out of contract.
Here are his career stats:

Is Jacko a keeper on our list for 2009 or do we move him on?

Stilll only 21 yo, keep
:cheers

Expect big year from Daniel in 2009 :thumbsup
-
Yes. His last games let him survived but I'm still to be convinced he will ever be the complete package. :-\
And FYI, Jackson is mid-22s and so will be 23 very early into the footy season next year.
How long will he be given? Must play over 18 games or he's out the door next year. (injury excepted)
-
would keep him his got something to give
-
he has been a project player considering he doesnt/didnt have a natural feel for the game, when does the project end?
keeper for mine, love his aggression something we dont have spades of.
-
I back him.
It comes down to the work he does in pre-season,off his own back.
-
Keep, played well at the start of the year, almost had his ear ripped off in a head clash against Collingwood
Tried to come back the next week with enough bandages holding his head together that his head was almost double the size
Struggled after that but finished the year strongly, he's only 21, had a late start to football, is a big bodied mid which we need and has good leg speed
Plenty who should go before him, so keep

I would keep Whacko Jacko. He struggles abit and isnt the smartest bloke ever but he is a bit unit and has a go. He was a late pick, and was always going to take some time but his upside. He was a rower i think, and one of his upsides was he was a real strong lad at 189cms and fit. I like that he' started kicking 60 meters also.
Give him another year at least.
That said he is not skillfull enough for a stuff, and isnt our best tagger. He is not in our best 8-10 midfeilders.
He is in the same leagu as Edwards, White, Connors, Raines, Polo, Collard.. and i reckon all those have more upside. I even like Collins.
Deapth player for 2009 at best IMO

:o High 90's Enter Score in VCE. Fluent in French. Deferred a degree in Commerce at Melbourne Uni while he does a degree in teaching.

In terms of football smarts.
Prone to doing stupid things. ie. Tivendale / King like at times.

Kids who have played less than 50 games tend to make mistakes

Jacko's last 6 games since coming back into the side have probably got himself another year. 2009 is make or break for him. Needs to cement his place in the side and play close to 20 games next year barring injury. He'll most likely now become our number one run with player/tagger now with Sugar getting on and moved out to a HFF and Hyde retired/delisted.
