Read on Y&B that it's rumoured that Casserly has been delisted.
http://www.yellowandblack.com.au/forum/showpost.php?p=198987&postcount=1
Cass is contracted until 2009 though so he would have to be paid out if delisted.
-
Wouldn't surprise me if he is delisted, but I hope he's taken in the rookie draft to give him a chance to get over his soft tissue injuries. We're paying for him in 2009 anyway.
-
If true they mustn't think Cass will overcome his cronic soft-tissue/hammy injuries.
-
Where would we be without rumours :inquisition

The club would be stupid to confirm any potential delistings before trade week but all players would have been told where they stand on the Tuesday and Wednesday after Mad Monday. A few players would have their futures up in the air.
-
Delist and put on the Rookie list.
-
couldnt manage to crack it in the best in thirds, I'd say he's in trouble to retain his spot

the only place this guy will get a kick is at the old Bojangles club.
enough is enough move on

Whispers around the training traps says we may consider getting Travis Casserly back to the club as a rookie at the end of the year.
Here's his stats playing for Swan Districts.

No tackles in 11 games?
He'll fit right back in. ;)
-
No!
-
Mmmm, not sure why we would bother unless we picked him up as the last pick in the draft with no one else available!!!.
-
A fit Casserly at Richmond could cause a great many to eat their words.

I only saw him once - a pre-season game a couple of years ago and I thought he showed a bit. Then he did the now, all too familiar injury thing and missed a lot of that season. I'll leave it to those who know him better to pass informed judgment but what I saw I thought had potential.
-
I would like to see him come back and become a star.
It would make my signed football worth a little bit more that the nothing it is worth at the moment.
Nice young man though and great with kids.
:cheers

Is this year when GC17 gets access to the first 5 rookie draft picks? I can't remember. If so this may have something to do with us looking at all options in terms of our rookie list. Cass was delisted not because he was a hack but everytime he got close to senior selection his hammy would go twang again. I guess the club would want to know how his body is holding up. It's doing okay at WAFL level but will history repeat itself with the step up to AFL training.
-
well if we're going to look that far afield why not harden up the side and get Krakouer back!

Subscribing to a youtube channel finally paid off. ;D
-
He always had all the tools for AFL. Good built, great kick, just couldn't get on the park.
If his body is holding up ok, then I'm sure there are worse options with a later selection
-
He doesn't look like he's built very well at all, to be honest.
-
I only saw him in a pre-season game a couple of years back but he showed a little bit in that game. Certainly got plenty of it and looked ok in the film clip. Is he still young enough to be looked at as a rookie - and is he interested?

Sorry, typo, I meant build
I also should have clarified that he had a good frame, will definitely fill out with time in the system

Saw this on Y&B.
Casserley finished 6th in Swan Districts B&F and won their Rising Star Award.

tbh Im not sure that 6th is a compelling case to be redrafted, if he won it perhaps, rookie at best for mine

There was talk that we were looking to rookie Cass a few months back but I haven't heard anything since. Maybe the Club has gone cold on the idea.
-
Not really sure why we would want to go back there, forward is the way, Cass did not work out for us, grab another kid the age Cass was when we selected him and work on him. Lets not work on the past.
