Title: Polo re-signs for 2 years

Polo re-signed on a new 2 year deal. He was originally offered one year but Dean held out for a better deal and eventually got it.

this im very happy with.

This kid has not been given a chance and i think he will come good not like some of his mates

Very disappointing that he got two years.
I'm sick of this club giving in to player demands, he doesn't deserver two years
I hope the 2nd year is an option based on performance in 2009

They can still be traded even if contracted. Kingy got a 2nd year deal too but rumouredly the 2nd year of it is based on his performance in 2009 so perhaps Polo has the same sort of 2 year deal. I just hope Deano is given more of a go. I thought he was unluckily dropped after a decent game this year ahead of others who were more deserving. His shoulders seem to be holding up towards the end of the season as well.

Don't mind Polo but let's hope being shopped around gives him a kick in the shorts..

Very happy with this. Every time I have seen him play, it has been very good. Just needs to get his body right and woule be replacement for Sugar

If it is the case then I have no problem with 2 years based on the GC17 thing - need to lock in players so you get soemthing for them in the future

Again personal view, think he played some good footy this year when he was given the opportunity, would have in the side ahead of a couple of others ;)

I was told today Polo came within a whisker of being delisted this year and only just survived after sitting down with Terry where he was told in no uncertain terms to pull his head in and stop getting ahead of himself or he'll be gone next year. I know this conflicts with Deano getting a 2-year deal but it'd fit together if the 2nd year depends on how he goes in 2009 as rumoured at the time. Anyway this is what I was told and the source isn't one in the past to make up stories about our players so please don't shoot the messenger.

I can imagine the uproar if that had have happened.  It would have been meltdown time.  :shh
