Because our club has made a choice and I'm going to stand by them as I believe youth is the right choice for our future and going to Punt Road for a protest is so very Richmond. Little people thinking they make a big difference. ::)

No its about keeping your dignity and self respect. Not saying you don't have any Popelord but having a rally is going about it in the wrong way in this instance. It's not about workers rights etc that are worth fighting for or people's rights, safety in the workplace or pay its about selecting the right candidate for pick 6. Far cry one from the other. Whatever will be will be. Let it rest we will find out tomorrow.

They need common sense and facts in the boardroom to make a final decision.
They don't need a group of supporters thinking they're making a difference hanging around Punt Road Oval.

Interesting that Cameron said there would be no Board meeting, didnt say there wouldnt be a meeting with the Footy dept.
I have a feeling that Cousins will be our pick tomorrow.

At 8:05pm the Police blocked Punt Rd at Brunton Avenue and arrested a group of Richmond supporters who are on drugs.
The rest of the Tiger supporters who do not support drugs are sitting comfortably in their homes having dinner and are looking forward to 10:20 tommorrow when a drug addict will have been eliminated from AFL ranks. :clapping

Again as it has been said. What will be will be and we only have to wait until tomorrow.
Making a song and dance over just who we pick is already in the hands of the ones that know more that all of us.
So to protest our own club is just pure disrespect.
And I would not want to have dealing's with people that are disrespecting the club I love so much.
If you say you are a supporter then support them, don't go out there and make the club a laughing stock of the AFL, as this is all you are going to achieve.

SEN spoke to "Ben" just after 9pm who is done at Punt Rd. He said there's about 100 supporters including families. They've been singing the club song and chanting out "Cousins for Christmas". Wallace was at Punt Rd and actually came out and walked around and spoke to all them. Terry told them no decision has been made. Ben said it looks like the gathering is breaking up now.

DIE-HARD Richmond supporters reacted angrily to their club's announcement that they are "highly unlikely" to draft Ben Cousins
Terry Wallace fronted the angry supporters after training at 8.30pm, but refused to speculate about what would happen Tuesday.
Leigh Witten, 43, planned to stay at Punt Road overnight and vowed to remain at the ground for as long as it took to convince the club to recruit Cousins.
"What they've been doing is beating around the bush,'' he said.
"We will sit on the roof of the stand until it is done.''
Thirty-year club member Ray Mahos drove to the club from Heidelberg desperate for answers.
"They've given him a lifeline with one hand and taken it away with another,'' he said.
"We stand to gain, even with just female members alone.
"He is the catalyst to make this club great again. Everybody deserves a second chance.''
But Chris Knott, 29, from Richmond, said he didn't want Cousins at Punt Road.
"We don't want him, he's a bad apple and a bad apple can ruin the whole bunch.''
Shortly after 9pm about 50 angry Tigers supports marched up the ramp to the club's front door, pounding on the windows singing the club song and chanting ``Cousins for Christmas''.
Fred Haifa, 20, from Brunswick demanded the club recruit Cousins.
"Ben Cousins at 100 per cent health can do a lot of damage on the field and he has got a point to prove,'' he said.
"If Ben Cousin's doesn't come to the club it will be probably the worst Christmas present ever.''

I agree with what Tuckerbag is saying, sure it's not as serious as workers rights or civil liberties, but hey, whats wrong in having a say in the affairs of YOUR club.
Why is it feral to protest, families singing the club song and chatting to TW doesn't sound feral to me. Perhaps the Herald Sun and it's ideologies has infested a few brains in this town.

3aw started their morning program with "people power overrules the suits" and comparing it to Swans fans demanding Paul Roos be their coach. The guy subbing in for Neil Mitchell even spent 15 mins interviewing a Tiger fan who was there last night.

You would hope that whatever decision is made is done because it is in Richmond's best interests on and off field and to benefit our playing list the most rather than because 50 or so fans rock up at Punt Rd.
