What are you folks planning to do for New Year's Eve tomorrow (Wednesday) night?

Looking after the Granddaughter. Don't go much for New Years as I think New Year is your Birthday.

What we always do... stay at home looking after the doggies who get very spooked by all the illegal firecrakers going off around the neighbourhood :banghead

Nothing special. A quiet little gathering with family/friends.

Just got back from a month in Europa (Germany, UK, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, bit of Tokyo on the way home) yesterday so am pretty jetlagged. Probly stuff all.

I guess nothing much happened at Richmond while I was away?  ;)

Was working in the Rheinland area - based in Mainz but also went to Frankfurt, Wiesbaden etc

Just spent 4 days in Rome. Would have loved to have spent more time in Italy - heaps to see and the weather was superb

Frankfurt would have been freezing.  I went there in the middle of August and it was freezing.  Lovely spot though, lots of castles and things lol, Lorelei Rock etc

Italy I was going to go to next year, but can't afford it now.  France and Italy will be my next venture.

The closest I got to Frankfurt was the airport twice in 2001. I had planned a final sightseeing day there before heading home but ran out of time as I was held up working in Heidelberg :-\.

Italy is great. You need heaps of time though as there's heaps of things to see. I spent 4 days in Rome too when I was over there and used up every bit of it seeing everything. Venice is nice although don't go there b/w Oct-Nov while it's flooded. If you make it to Florence Moi there's a daytrip bus to Pisa and back you can take to see the leaning tower.
