Title: Ratio of Premierships to Finals played

We've only made the finals twice in the past 25 years but when we do get there we do better than most at winning the ultimate prize....

Love them or hate them, the Pies give their supporters value for money - 163 finals appearances.

Your stats are a bit screwy? (I think)

Shouldn't we compare the no of flags won over the past 25 years and not the total won ever?

Spot on. I know they fear a tiger revival like nothing else but I have huge respect for their achievements. As you ay hey give their fans what fans want...finals excitement.

Consistent finalling onfield allied to consistently turning up in greater numbers than anyone else in the stands is what makes them the premier club in Australian sport. We can do that. I think we are the only club which can but we really do need to DO IT now.

Just 1 flag in the past 50 years doesn't make a club the premier club in Australian sport  :chuck. You play to make and WIN the big dance. Premierships are all that counts. Our lack of finals appearances over the past 25 years is more an indictment on the club and how it was poorly run (past tense hopefully) in that time.

The stats are from Inside Football  ;).

In any case we've played in 8 finals since our last flag so we're due lol  :eyebrow

Gotta love the Ainters, great ammo to aim at their fans
