Title: Any fans of Australian Motorsport here? (Pics now added)
Post by: tiga on January 08, 2009, 10:59:31 PM
Not sure if anyone here is into Australian motorsport like I am, but if anyone is interested in seeing some pics I took of the final Round ever to be raced at Oran Park of
the V8 Supercars, I'd be happy to post them here. It was my first opportunity to give my Canon 40D SLR a bash at a sports event and some of the pics came out pretty good.
I have something for both Ford and Holden fans, Skaife in his final race before retiring, Bathurst winners from times past, Brock's Commodore, Harvey's Torana as well as some GTHO's and who could forget the old Army sponsored XD falcon! Oh and a few pics of the XXXX Dancing Girls for the Lads.

Let me know if you are a Ford or Holden fan or If you have a favorite driver, or team and I will do my best to post some pics of them. If someone see's something they like, let me know and I'd be happy to share with other OER members the Hi-res files which make great posters or wallpaper for your PC.

Great pics tiga  :clapping

Not a motorsport story but I loved the story of the bloke who road around Bathurst on his postie pushbike for the hell of it and got up to 80kph on Conrod straight  :lol.

Thanks Guys.  :thumbsup I was amazed at how well they came out considering the cars were passing where I was at 260 k's.

I have some more I'll put up in the next couple of days.

For your sake Bushranger, I hope Holden has a better year. Me being a Ford man, this last season couldn't have been better.  :thumbsup

New cars next season and the move to E85 fuel will also make things very interesting.

Should be a good years racing this year.
One thing I do know is that with the Ute racing which I love to they actually took something away from the Holden ute to slow it down to make for better racing. And this is true as the comentators were talking about it in the racing last year.
But I don't think that happen's in the Supercars or they would be one major kick up.
