Polak to tie the knot :)
IT'S been a testing year for Richmond's Graham Polak, whose recovery continues from severe brain injury sustained when he was hit by a tram last June. But there was some good news when Richmond resumed pre-season training and Polak announced that he and girlfriend Alyce Oksuz had become engaged.

Tiger Graham Polak proposes to partner Alyce Oksuz
Antonia Magee | January 10, 2009
GRAHAM Polak has zoomed into 2009 on a wave of romance - he dressed up as Santa to propose to long-time girlfriend Alyce Oksuz, and she said "Yes".
The Tigers star, 24, was lucky to see the New Year after suffering serious head injuries when hit by a tram just six months ago.
Polak proposed on Christmas Day as their families celebrated the festive season in Perth.
The Santa-suited Tiger gave Alyce a ring box when handing out presents.
"It was amazing. He wanted our families to be there to share the moment with us," Ms Oksuz told the Herald Sun last night.
"I was so excited I just kept crying until my dad asked if they could congratulate us, and I said 'Yes'."
The couple have been together for five years and plan to exchange vows in Western Australia next year.
Ms Oksuz, 22, said the time since Polak's accident made it the best and the worst year of their lives.
"I guess it just showed us another side of one another, and I think we learnt a lot about each other in the process," she said.
"The thought of losing someone so important to you shows you how much they mean to you."
