Title: Problems burning with Nero
Post by: TFL on January 29, 2009, 09:40:22 AM
Has anyone had any problems burning with Nero?

Only recently i have had trouble when trying to burn. In particular when burning DVD's the burn will fail early on and then Nero keeps saying "Invalid block address"

I have searched on the net and people have had similar problems and seemed to have fixed it with updating firmware of the drives etc. I think i have checked the drives properly and cant seem to get things working still  :banghead :banghead

Does anyone have any advice?

I don't use it so I'm not much help Jake but it seems really touchy reading around. The 4 common things to check seem to be:

Check that your computer is in "DMA is available" mode and not "PIO only".
Firmware is up to date
Make sure you're using a high quality disc.
Don't have other things running on your computer while burning.
