Richmond's community camp is at Craigieburn from Feb 3-5. So it looks like Craigieburn may be the venue for the intra-club on Feb 5.
I'll alter the thread title and keep this separate from the Family Day thread.

THE Ben Cousins show is heading for Craigieburn.
The northern suburb has been chosen as the location for Richmond's three-day AFL Community Camp.
The camp will be held in the first week of February and Cousins will no doubt be in demand.
The Tigers No. 32 is expected to assist in several club activities including visiting schools, nursing homes and hospitals, plus conducting Auskick clinics.

The media is trying to bring Ben down by unashamedly writing anything they can about the guy,trying to passively stuff with his head and in doing so,push him that little bit closer to the edge and ultimately back into a lifestyle that would see journalists scampering to be the one who breaks the storey they all want to see, "Ben Relapses"
These people are fu kcen dogs and will stop at nothing to justify their pathetic little lives as paid laggers.
I hope they all get ars cancer and spend their days at Peter McCallum where they can reflect on the inhumane way they spent their lives - driving people to the brink for the benefit of being congratulated another cock sucker who's been in the game longer than them.

I totally agree with the last sentence of the post but not too sure if the media have a specific agenda to push him into a relapse.
They are too short sighted to see beyond tomorrow's headline - papers will sell with Benny in them, just find a reason and/or an angle - just like Frontline taught them.
Ben Cousins has been around a looooong time and has had to contend with far worse than this media scrutiny.
In fact, he probably finds this stuff quite amusing.
What he will know and no doubt the support around him will continually remind him, is that the media will be there with camera in hand the minute he does anything wrong.

To maximize crowds you would've thought you'd have the intra-club game on a Saturday or Sunday rather than a Thursday. Then again perhaps they're hoping schoolkids in the local area will be let our to go and watch given they'll all be back at school by Feb 5.

But the actually facility is off Grand Boulevard (I think that's what its called) Craigieburn.
If you are coming via the Craigieburn by-pass take the Amaroo Rd exit (left), cross over the lights and follow Grand Boulevard around - can't miss it

IIRC it's along Grand Boulevard as WP said just past the Windrock Avenue roundabout.

As WP said, all you have to do is take the Craigieburn bypass to Amaroo Road and take that exit.
Turn left at Amaroo Road and just take that straight through. You will cross the Hume Hwy and then you will be in Grand Blvd.
Just keep driving until you see the ground.

Richmond will head to Craigieburn this week for its 2009 Community Camp.
Over the next two days, players and coaches will be involved in a range of activities in the Craigieburn community, culminating in the Club’s intra-club match at Gosch’s Paddock on Thursday.
On Tuesday, players will head to various local primary and secondary schools to run footy clinics, while on Wednesday they will visit Craigieburn junior and senior football clubs.
Players, coaches and officials will also join Hume City Council in a breakfast function for local businesses on Wednesday.
Richmond’s commitment to the Craigieburn area includes the development of the Craigieburn Greenfield Development, an $8.5 million state-of-the-art second training facility.
The facility includes a grandstand, change room and community facilities, and will host Richmond and the Coburg Tigers for training sessions throughout the season.
The Tigers are expected to begin training at the facility in the coming weeks.

RICHMOND’S move to Craigieburn as a summer base is well advanced and the benefits go well beyond training on a well-maintained oval.
Craigieburn has similar dimensions to the MCG, while Punt Rd Oval, when the redevelopment that began last year is complete, will mimic Telstra Dome’s size and shape, giving the team the perfect place to train for either of the grounds they will play 16 games on this season.
The team was at the facility in Craigieburn on Tuesday to launch their 2009 Telstra AFL Community Camp, and captain Chris Newman said it could only benefit his improving side.
"Apparently they are MCG dimensions – it looks a bit different now without the stands around it, but they're going to be building the big stands around it, so apparently everything's going to be state-of-the-art, so we're really looking forward to coming out here and starting our campaign," he said.
"When it's ready we'll be able to come out here and with Punt Rd the way it is at the moment, it's really difficult to find places – with water restrictions and things like that – it's difficult to find places where we can actually prepare well, and this is going to keep us within a minimum risk of injury."
And while the area around the facility is still fenced off because it is a construction zone, Newman said it wouldn't be long before it was able to be used.
"The Hume City Council have worked really hard to get this in the condition it's in now, and I believe it's going to be ready within a couple of weeks.
"But it's a really good opportunity to come out here and meet some of the local people who we'll be sharing a close relationship with in the future.
"So we're happy to be here."

Watching that video, the oval looks in good nick with a healthy coverage of green grass all over.
They're going to add cupboard cut-outs of the MCG stands around the perimeter for Newy :lol :wallywink.

I was up there for the launch and the ground is in very good condition.
It was good to see the majority of the playing group turn up, including Ben Cousins.
Temporary Changerooms will be in place shortly which will allow training to take place there.
There was also a business breakfast held this morning at the Craigieburn Sports Club.
Terry and Kingy gave a good presentation and the Tigers were officially welcomed to Hume by the CEO.
About 10 players were in attendance.

CRAIGIEBURN is generally known as Eagles territory when it comes to football, but last week it was Tigerland as AFL club Richmond swamped the Craigieburn Highlands Estate for their first kick at the new Highgate Recreation Reserve.
As many as 20 Tigers trained junior footballers in the area on Tuesday with the likes of Matthew Richardson, Nathan Brown, Jordan McMahon, Brett Deledio, Kayne Pettifer and new recruit Ben Cousins putting the kids through their paces.
The $8 million Highgate Recreation Reserve has been jointly developed by Hume City Council, Stockland, the Victorian State Government, the AFL, AFL Victoria and Richmond.
The facility includes an MCG-sized training ground that the Tigers will use to complement their Punt Road training facility; as well as an additional playing field, walking tracks, a pavilion and playground.
The Tigers returned to the area on Wednesday night to put the Eagles’ senior list through its paces.
Richardson, Brown and Pettifer put the group through its paces at Donnybrook Oval, with Craigieburn’s D.S. Aitken Oval being used for cricket and the new Highlands facility not quite ready for full-scale training.
The three-time All-Australian was impressed with the new Highlands facility.
“It’s going to be a sensational ground,” he said.
“It’s got a good surface, we’ve obviously spent a bit of dough there so we are looking forward to being able to get out here and do a bit of training down the track.”
Richardson was unsure as to how far away the club was from training at Highgate Recreation Reserve but gave an insight to his form and the team coming into the NAB Cup season opener against Fremantle on Sunday.
“Personally I am feeling pretty good, the boys are all pretty fit and we have got a full list to choose from next week.
“There are a couple guys that won’t be available but other than that everyone is fit and ready to go.”
Richmond coach Terry Wallace addressed a crowd at a Hume City Council breakfast on Tuesday to welcome the Tigers to Craigieburn and said the new facility would be beneficial for his club and the Craigieburn community.
“We’d be happy to go and assist in things like us helping coaching their (the Eagles) coaches to get them to a stage where they have great advancement,” he said.
“So there is an advantage not only for our boys but also for the Eagles.”
Craigieburn president Bernie Shinners also noted the benefits for his club.
“Their presence has been great for increasing the interest certainly at the junior level,” he said.
“There was certainly a lot of interest just from people who were followers of Craigieburn and people who are residents of Craigieburn.
“Having the Richmond players up here gives our players the opportunity to learn about the professionalism of AFL football. It is a real benefit to our club.”
Shinners said the club was hoping to play games at the new ground in 2010.
“It will really be a boon to the players at our club to be able to play on a surface like that.”
Hume City Council CEO Dominic Isola estimated Highlands Recreation Reserve’s ground would be ready for use “in the next couple of weeks” with the remainder of the project set to be completed later this year.

THE Tigers have come to town. Richmond Football Club players had their first kick on their new alternate training ground in Craigieburn last week.
The club will train at the $7.4 million ground twice a month during season and five times a month out of season, beginning next month. The ground will also be used by the VFL.
The team played kick-to-kick on the MCG-sized field with grades 5 and 6 students from Mt Ridley College, which opened last Tuesday next to the ground. Only two of the 16 students supported Richmond, but all got a thrill seeing sports stars up close.
Richmond legend Matthew Richardson said it would be great to train on the full-size ground, despite the long drive from Punt Rd. "I'm also looking forward to recruiting some new supporters from such an up-and-coming area,'' he said.
Also at the training was Ben Cousins but he kept a very low profile.
The $7.4 million Highgate Recreation Reserve is a Hume Council, Stockland and State Government project. A playing field to be used by community groups and schools will be completed this year. There will also be walking tracks, a pavilion and playground.
Hume Council chief executive Domenic Isola said the team would provide opportunities for the community that extended beyond the sporting field.
"Our community will be able to see their heroes up close and our young football players can learn from the very best,'' Mr Isola said.

Jake took home a signed football and Richmond Club membership.
Jake received his prize last Tuesday at Highgate Reserve and had a kick of the footy with Nathan Foley (left in photo) and Mark Coughlan (right).
Ironically, Jake supports Essendon.
"I've always had a soft spot for the Tigers and if Sheedy goes there I reckon I will support them too,'' he said.

RICHMOND Football Club will use its new $8million training hub at Highgate Recreation Reserve in Craigieburn at least once a week during the AFL season to reduce the pressure on a parched Punt Road Oval.
The Tigers made a "Hollywood-style" first appearance at the new hub last week - with recruit and former drug addict Ben Cousins giving advice to young juniors - for the club's AFL community camp.
Tigers skipper Chris Newman believes the club's venture to Craigieburn will help the community and the team.
"Having a state-of-the-art facility to practise our footy on is great for the club," Newman said. "Hume City Council have worked really hard to get the ground to the condition that it's in.
"It's a great opportunity to meet some of the local people who will be sharing a close relationship with us in the future."
Newman described the oval as having "MCG dimensions" and was looking forward to training on the lush green grass.
"It looks a bit different now that there's no stands around it, but they will be building stands around it.
"We're really looking forward to coming out here and starting our campaign."
Tigers defender Graham Polak, who is recovering after being hit by a tram last year, said the new oval could help stuff his recovery.
"I'm probably ahead of schedule at the moment and hopefully training out here on these conditions will help too.
"I'm just going to plug away and take it day by day."
Polak said he was looking forward to getting to know the area better.
"It's always good to get out to places like this that I'm not from and I haven't really heard of before.
The training hub will include an additional football field, walking tracks, and a sports pavilion and playground.
It was developed by Hume Council, Stockland and the State Government, which together contributed $7.4million to the venture.
Council CEO Domenic Isola said having Richmond Football Club in Hume City provided many opportunities for the community.
"Our community will be able to see their heroes up close and our young football players can learn from the very best," he said.
Newman believes Cousins has already had a positive influence on the team at training and expects he will be a role model for the community.
"He's been really positive and upbeat.
"He's a good player to have at our club because he does all the right things on the track.
"He's pushing himself to limits that a lot of the younger guys have never seen before."
Richmond president Gary March said he hoped the Craigieburn community would get behind the club.
Highgate Recreation Reserve is due for completion in early 2010.
The first stage, which has been completed, includes the MCG-sized training ground, and works have started on the second oval.
The roads and car park have also been completed and the first stage of landscaping work is under way.
The site will use recycled water for irrigation, with a water management plan approved by the water authority.
