Darn! Could someone please give a bit of a report on what the show was like? Thanks!
-
I will let you know Ferring and welcome to OER
I beleive its basically inside the coaches box etc
-
Wasnt a bad show actually. Funny thing was the player that he liked coaching the most was , you guessed it Brad Ottens. Ask Brad Ottens and he says that Danny never spoke to him for 3 months. Somebody is telling porkies.
Also showed the hawks game where Hall marked in the last minute. If anyone has a tape of it, worth having a look at Ottens pathetic attack on the ball with Hall attacking the ball and marking it.
Spoke about his family.
Impression you get watching the show was the players liked him.
Lets just hope the players can put in a better effort over the next few years or another coach will get the chop !
-
Thanks for that Jackstar. btw, do you post on PRE anymore mate?
-
Damn, i missed it too ;D

Answer to ferring question , NO , been banned for life ;) like most people here :lol

One of the things Danny mentioned was his first days as Coach.
He said that he was appointed by Leon Daphne one day and the next was told by Leon that he was stepping down as President.
He then had Jim Malone (?) take up another role elsewhere, so he had the President and General Manager depart shortly after he was appointed.
At his first draft/trade period, the players were going overseas and the footy manager was going with them.
Nice state of affairs for an inexperienced coach to find himself in.
Didn’t paint the Club in a very good light at that time. Is it any wonder we’re a rabble when there is no continuity with staff and the new kid on the block is left to sort things out for himself?
Talk about sink or swim.

Water is most comfortable at it's own level.

It's called INITIATIVE.
He has none.
His wife is his brain.
Easy for him to play that card now but had he had ANY nouse whatsoever he would have rallied to rectify
the problems, but like a mentally challenged mute at the opera he had no idea.
Inexperience is only an excuse for your first week, after that it's up to you.

Fair call ox. Just thought I’d also highlight how directionless and unprofessional we have been, to point out how deep the problems go and that it’s never just the Coach’s fault. One man alone isn’t going to fix everything.

It was replayed on Fox yesterday afternoon - I thought it hysterical when they had to "bleep" out Spud giving Houlihan a spray for missing that sitter against Hawthorn (I think it was)

You're right TS I was staggered when it was said that the Footy Ops Manager was going on the end of season trip with the players instead of sticking around for the Trade period. Seriously how unprofessional was that?

Hey WP, you can see why we are in the mess we are in,wasnt all Spud,s fault
