Fair enough Sarge and Blingers gone. They did nothing. If Edwards and King survive then I'll go hee :-\
Good to see Collo in the starting 18. That means he'll be making his debut :clapping.
I know Daniel hasn't set the world on fire for Coburg and he's had an interrupted preseason but if we want to add class to the side then he comes in. Somehow I think they'll give him another week at the burgers like they have with Cogs :-\. So that would leave Gus, Nahas, Jordie and JON on the bench. I'm not a JON fan but he might as well get another shot to show something after his strong game for Coburg. Seeing Jordie and JON come in will bring such joy to Tiger fans :rollin.
-
Very suprised that a senior player did not get the chop.
Can somebody give me details on Collins as I dont know much about him.How are his skills etc
-
So i take it Collins is still eligible for a rising star nomination ?
I don't expect him to get one this week, but if he plays for the next couple of weeks we could have him and Rance nominated.
Surely Alex can't be too far away from one.

thats whats wrong at PUNT RD.
How on earth did King and Edwards remain, any other club and they would of been gone
We reward players for mediocracy :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead

It's still likely that they will be dropped, it's only an extended bench for now
Chillax!
-
It's a Sunday game, so more droppings are possible. I would say King and Edwards also out, so all outs are King, Edwards, Schulz and Tambling, for (hopefully!) Collins (def), Connors, JON and Nahas, meaning McMahon misses out as well.

maybe its a Wallace scandal, he is destroying our club so his beloved Hawks can get premierships
maybe his being paid on the side to make us stay the whipping boys
Stupid as it sounds but makes everyone wonder. Edwards, would be the 1st player chopped in my view.
You chop the runts & keep the bigger lads in but that dont happen at Tigerland
But the real reason is Wallace wants Richmond to chop him so he gets paid out & he dont have to resign as walking out on the club
Then no-one has any comeback on him, its all about Terry Wallace & not the Richmond Football Club

In: Connors, Collins, JON, Nahas

Not saying they should be in but Jacko and Joel are named in the starting 18 so it's unlikely they'll get the chop. The 3 to miss will come from those named on the extended bench.

Let's hope they aren't chicken droppings on Monday outside of Punt Road.
:lol
-
Did i miss something this week? No mention of Cogs on the extended bench??
-
Final bench will ber revealed Saturday.... that's when Coburg plays ;D
-
Adam Thomson should be in the side IMHO. Good luck to Collins, hes deserved his chance. Hopefully he plays well.

I think that both Coughlan and Thompson are missing because of fitness reasons, nothing else. And yes, good luck to Collins - he has impressed me with his attitude, output and development since he came to the club. He is one kid I really hope makes it.

Phil Egan absolutely teeing off at the coach and the match committee:-
*Blames match committee/coach for playing Tambling after the week off with a hammy and the birth of his kid on the Thursday night before the bulldogs game
*Claimed that the coach singled out Tambo as playing a poor game but refused to single out older, senior players "Who have not laid a tackle in 2 years"
*Stated that JON spoke to him tonight and said he WASN'T playing on Sunday
*Reckons that the young players are taking the rap for poor performance of the team instead of the senior players - Nathan Brown was singled out as an example of not delivering but still being in the side
*When one of the others mentioned that Jordy "who has your number Phil" was back in the side, Egan looked down and shook his head (and looked disgusted)
*Blamed the coaching staff for showing no respect to the playing group by forcing them to play a style of game they have no hope of executing on field

Apologies, Marngrook Footy Show.

thanks :thumbsup

egan said the same things last year and it is no shock, we all know terry has his favourites, all coaches do.
But what i find amazing is that tambo was made a scapegoat after a 14 possession game but a 16 possession game by deledio is ok?
its time plough made an example out of deledio and lets see what mental toughness he has, tambling has put up with alot and and has mental toughness, i doubt deledio could cope being dropped, he would sook all the way to his mummy and daddy
-
Tambling's 14 possession game was far worse than just being 2 possessions less than Deledio.
Deledio tackled and chased far more from I saw and didn't give away any direct turnovers like Tambling did probably half the time.
But in my opinion if he didn't sleep well and was tired then we really shouldn't have played him anyway and his return should have been this week.
-
Tambling's 14 possession game was far worse than just being 2 possessions less than Deledio.
Yeah, it was 4 possessions less. ;D He only had 12 , not 14 as TigerTime keeps stating.
4 kicks (all turn overs) & 8 handballs.
-
Plus Lids was tagged, Tambo wasn't
Big difference
Plus Lids was one of the few (only) players with good disposal

There are some different people in our society that you just don't understand.. I think Browny is one of them.. Just is a weird weird bloke. Makes a fool out of himself and then looks emotionless with a little chuckle here and there.. Smile Nathan? Are you a goof or not? Sort it out?
I've never been a Browny hater but I think his time is up at Richmond I honestly believe that. Respect where it is due he was a good player when he was in his prime but I don't see him being a week in week out contributor past the 09 season.
I also think his passion for playing eth game and for the club he's playing for is not up to AFL standard. What players and media don't make clear i the actual desire that is required to play at the elite level. Media let rip into players ie: Corey Jones, Nathan Brown, Dale Thomas, Dal Santo players like this get roasted by the media when they look disinterested on the footy field. Then the players get all up in arms explaining teh do care etc.
The fact of teh matter is and in Nathan's case I'm sure you do care to play well and win Nathan. But unfortunatly as it's shown throughout your career you haven't shown the 110% desire to win and be successful. There is a massive difference between someone wanting to win and play well (Nathan Brown) and someone who will put there body in front of a Mac truck and run to the point of chucking up or passing out, DESIRE to win a game of football (Robert Harvey, James Hird and all teh way down to a Joel Selwood, Brett Kirk)
It's one thing to be ultra skillful but if you don't have the 110% AFL desire your just going to pull up short.
For mine thanks for the career, enjoyed watching you at your best and if it wasn't for your leg I'm sure the team woudl have tasted better success but I am afraid your spot on RFC's list would be better suited for a player that has 110% desire.
- Some may say that we need skill in our team but skill takes you only so far if you don't want to be there.
-
browny will be best on ground on sunday

here here
unfortunately a career cut short prevented us seeing the best of him. His selfish acts are no longer required.
time for him to move and go make Tshirts and hit the club scene where it seems his loyalities lie.

you are full of your own poo danny

Going by Rawlings' report in EOTT it sounds like there will only be two changes with Collo and Jordie in for Sarge and Blingers.
-
Confirmed Changes
Ins: Collins, Conners, Nahas, McMahon
Outs: Bling, Edwards, King, Schulz
-
How do you know the changes are confirmed?

Cheers Goohuc :cheers
No argument with the outs. In fact there could have been more (senior) Tigers out but those four were obvious choices.
Good to see Daniel back.
-
Conners is the type of player we need in the side even if he does try to do too much some times. Temper that and he will be good :thumbsup

Totally agree - he is wasted at Coburg as he's the type of player who thrives on the big stage (or at least I think he will).

Really happy Edwards has been dropped, i don't dislike him but i think some time with Coburg will do him good.
He has clearly been our worst in the first 3 rounds for mine. Go back and get 30 touches and come back and play with the confidence that you first brought to our side.
Good luck to all the ins.

Will there be a late change?
The AFL site's live match centre has JON listed in our 22 instead of Connors :-\.

from today's Age....
Meanwhile the Tigers' patience with Richard Tambling has been exhausted with the midfielder one of four changes made for the side to confront Melbourne tomorrow.
Monaghan said Tambling was among the better players in a side overwhelmed by Carlton in round one but, after tightness in his hamstring restricted his effort in round two, he played a poor game in round three.
Tambling's partner went into labour three weeks prematurely and gave birth to their second child two days before last week's game, perhaps explaining his flat performance.
"Richie has been inconsistent with both his preparation in to the season and his form in games. He knows that, he just needs to go back to the VFL and find some form," Monaghan said.
Enthusiastic battler Jake King, a player brought into the side a fortnight ago after the shock first-round loss to Carlton to inject some passion into the Tigers' outfit, has also been dropped. King brought more aggression to the side but also more turnovers, as his erratic disposal cost him and the side.
Young midfielder Andrew Collins will tomorrow make his debut after finally being named in the team while tiny forward Robin Nahas, elevated from the rookie list earlier this year, and Daniel Connors were both brought into the team.
Collins, a lightly framed 20-year-old midfielder from Echuca was taken late in the draft in 2006 (fifth round, pick 73) but lost his first season to osteitis pubis in 2007.
The Tigers have gone back to the well with former Bulldog Jordan McMahon — a player of pace yet also often questionable disposal. McMahon was said to have been clearly among the best for Coburg after being dropped.
Slight running player Shane Edwards and fringe forward Jay Schulz were both also omitted.
Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls has been named as an emergency. The former No. 8 draft pick, who has played just nine games in his first three seasons at the club, is yet to live up to his high draft billing and is thus one of the players cited as an example of flawed drafting in recent years that has left the club in its uncertain situation, with the coach's hold on his job tenuous.

Phil Egan absolutely teeing off at the coach and the match committee:-
*Blames the Thursday night before match committee/coach for playing Tambling after the week off with a hammy and the birth of his kid on the bulldogs game
Perhaps Phil should stick to the facts ... seems to have got one thing glaring thing wrong in his "attack"
see what Monaghan says

Gonaa attack Phil get you facts straight :thumbsup
With Player Mentors like Phil do we really need the media or enemies ::) ::)

All I know that Phil Egan is a quality person.
I understand where he is coming from and beleive he has more insight into the RFC than most of the people here who hide behind there keyboards.
Would beleive he is 95% correct in his views.
Might just further add that Phil was the runner at RFC in Wallets first 2 years as coach.
Phil regularly worked out in the gym at punt road until last year.
A lot of the players confide in Phil.
There is obviously problems with the playing group which will come to ahead soon, very soon ;)
-
Will there be a late change?

Just to confirm JON is playing today at Coburg.

interesting ,
according to phil, JON should be in the senior team, but you reckon he should have been delisted 2 years ago. So which one is it Jack?
-
If you have a look at a prior post, I said that Phil was right 95% of the time. ;)
Now Blaisee, you are a wallace lover, I hope you enjoyed all the 15 metres kicks sideways in D 50 today, the game plan is complete rubbish, and if he doesnt get the stuff on Monday, we will lose the next 4 games as well.
Blind man freddy could see today that melbourne tried to use the corridor and play attacking footy, thus they won the game. In my opinion, they probably should of won by 6 goals as they were a far better team and played good corridor footy. something that Terry refuses to do and continues to play players behind the ball.
I also feel sorry for Richo as in the last quarter, the ball came into F50 only to have a four on one contest ? why ? as his team mates were behind the ball

Common Blaisee, you know exactly what needs to be done. We all do. I managed to see afew games over the weekend- the good teams are 10 steps ahead of us. Our style of play is disgraceful, good teams go forward, run forward of the play, play more direct footy, they run back hard to defend, we dont do any of those things.
