STARS START CONTRACT TALKS
By JACKIE EPSTEIN

TALKS have begun for two big stars coming out of contract -- Bulldog defender Brian Lake and Richmond midfielder Brett Deledio.
The key players are set to re-commit to their clubs.
Deledio, last year's best and fairest winner, is keen to remain a Tiger.
"I'm sure Richmond won't want to lose Brett, and Brett wouldn't want to leave Richmond. We'll come to a happy arrangement, I'm sure,'' Deledio's manager, Anthony McConville, said.
"I'd imagine he'd attract interest, but I've spoken to (head of football) Craig Cameron and they're interested in going forward and getting things sorted out.''
Deledio, who just turned 22, was the No.1 draft pick in 2004 and NAB Rising Star winner in 2005.
The Bulldogs are also keen to shore up Lake's future.
"We've commenced negotiations but we won't be talking about it publicly,'' football manager James Fantasia said.

3 years takes him safely past GC17's clutches. You don't want your best players coming out of contract in 2010.
