Every year there seems to be at least one Tiger who steps out of the shadows in the second half of the season. A young Foley was one in 2006. Last year it was probably McGuane in defence who stepped up moreso after the midseason break.
Which young Tiger will surprise us in the second half of this year?
-
Collins. He will be our breakaway performer for the rest of 09. Or maybe Vickery will shine on and cement a senior spot for the start of 2010
-
Reckon Cotch is just warming up.
My smokey, Shane Edwards.
-
Cousins and then perhaps Polo
-
Jack Riewoldt (fingers crossed)
-
Cousins
Surprise us? Anyone would think Ben was a rookie?
-
Collins he must be learning so much off Cousins he is starting to move like him
-

im suprised that people still name JON in any post.
The idiots that recruited him should be banned from the club for ever. When I saw this guy the first time I just shook my head and I'm a complete novice at noticing true potential.
This club is NOT in the position to recruit people hoping to develope them into great players. their track record sugests the completely opposite. A good young player will be ruined by our so called development.
I feel sorry for guys like Jarred. Obviously void of footy nouse and exquisite skill, he may have been a good player at say...Hawthorn or Sydney, but at Richmond he didnt even stand a chance.
So I emplore all posters on this forum to just forget about little JON. He aint gonna play no more no more, he aint gona play no more......

Just trying to make it interesting tiggypoos.
Lets play a game - Name someone and the next poster has to guess what the surprise is.

Graham to cement No.1 ruck spot and boost his number of hitouts per game.

Miller's gone but word is he was an early Jackson pick.
That's ok Francis has done pretty well since then.

FJ was working only part-time in 2005 for Miller so we can hardly blame him for JON, Cleve and Casserly. Our recruiting department was just Miller back then :P. You would hope with more scouts and resources now our National draft decisions will hit the mark more often than not. Mind you if our list manager beit Miller in the past or Cameron now keep making the "draft is weak" excuse and trade away good picks for duds then the recruiter isn't left with many picks to choose the best kids from. Having just 2 live picks in last year's National draft was an utter disgrace and no better than Miller's handling of our recruiting. Anyway this is getting off-topic and belongs in another thread.

Not what I have heard but it doesn't purely fall to him obviously and the buck ultimately stops with Miller.

He may have only been working part time, however JON was Jackson & Miller's #1 option for Pick 8. If I recall correctly, when asked at the pre-draft night, Miller joked that if JON made it then he was his pick, but if he failed then he was Jackson's. That could have been the other way around though.
Either way, they both rated him, as did other clubs.
