What a disgrace this crime was just simply let go and hushed over and then Elliot now acts as though it's no big deal. What utter scum!

JOHN Elliott will be questioned by police and could lose his Carlton membership over claims hush money was paid to alleged rape victims.

I can't imagine why anyone who'd been raped would accept hush money and not just go straight to the police, or if they don't want to go to the police just move on with their lives  ::)

John Elliot and the player are scum, but I am not surprised about any of this  :banghead

Looks like Ian Collins and other leaders at Carlton in the 80s/90s will be questioned now too. Once a grubby club ....  :whistle

Just on Ch 10 news

Carlton have banned Elliot from their club. He's not welcomed to attend their functions or games.

7.30 Report interviewed the woman tonight. Vic Police want her to help them with their investigations into links between a Carlton player at the time (1999), the Morans and drug (cocaine) dealing but she's told the Police to get stuffed after they bungled her rape allegations (Police didn't search the Essendon house where the incident was alleged to have happened for two days and then allowed Blues players to go on their end of season trip before seeking statements).

Smells rotten and it won't go away.
