Not what you know, sonny  :rollin

 ;D

Actually what happened - or this is what the membership dept told me.

ANother Member from our household got a invite. It was addressed to said member

I thought "oh well mine will be here tomorrow"

Well tomorrow never came  ;D

I rang membership and said I hadn't received an invite - they siad yes you did there was 1 invite sent to the entire household. I said no the invite was addressed to an individual person not the household  :banghead

So how was I suppose to know that an invite not addressed to me actually included me

Was asked are you sure it wasn't addressed the Household? I said "err No" and then I was told "terribly sorry there's nothing we can do now and by the way the function is fully booked"

hence why I am not going

Brett is always like that, the only time I've seen him lighten up a bit was at the JD last year and with the other boys at Coburg when he goes down to watch.

Jacko is still in negotiations too BTW.

ugga, that is the best bet mate! Some people on here see negative in everything! If Lids has explored other clubs then the news would be all over the joint! No substance!

I find it hard to believe that Deledio would act in such an immature and unprofessional manner.

Fancy going to an official Richmond function and giving off the impression that he didn't want to be at the club anymore.

If thats the case (Big if) Please close the door on the way out Brett.

Any talk of Lids leaving is just "pessimistic chicken little" talk IMHO.

Is this the same Brett Deledio that you approached a few months ago and told him he didn't work hard enough during games?

I'm tipping he was unhappy that he had to deal with you. He was probably preparing to put pen to paper and then you turned up and he started to think again.

You probably don't want to reveal what he said because he probably told you to eff off.

The players must dread being cornered by "experts" telling them what they are doing wrong and how they should go about their business. I'm sure most of them tell these people their plans for the future and how they think things will pan out. Proffessional peole are very open like that  :P

or he may have meant emo

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=emo

Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.

A few weeks ago i told my wife what i really think! I told her she was lazy, and in it for herself and wasnt a team person! I also told her that there are other women out there who seem to better whenit comes to being nice to me and giving me attention!

Last night i went down to the pub and my wife walked in, she didnt seem to be happy! I had a chat to her and a few photos were taken but she didnt seem to be herself as she told me she wasnt happy! My three mates witnessed the conversation. I think she told her manager to explore all interested parties!
Doesnt matter though as  there are other women out there who are better team players than her!

Sorry OE, it's just when you get caught up in an intense debate involving one of our best players who we all know is re-signing with the club it is hard not to get a little worked up.

Anyway, I must be off, getting a feather wash from Lids!

I figured that's what he meant, however Ostriches don't put their heads in the sand, that's an urban myth
... as for confusing them with Emu's, I'm not sure he could have got it more wrong
I'd say he'd be used to that though

Keep the personal insults out of it people and keep to the topic or snip  ::)

Sorry OE, it's just when you get caught up in an intense debate involving one of our best players who we all know is re-signing with the club it is hard not to get a little worked up.

Anyway, I must be off, getting a feather wash from Lids!

Tell you this.
Went to Carlton Collingwood tonight and the mail around is the Colligwood are extremely interested in Lids.
And furthermore, if you know he is resigning, why did his manger meet with Gary Pert this week, FACT!

Of course Collingwood are keen on Lids
Every team in the comp is interested in him
Shame the pies have never been able to land a big fish because they are unwilling to offer anything decent to trade
They will finish up the top of the ladder this year and will have nothing to offer to get a trade done

Rubbish.  If you have a player of worth the manager is always going to shop around to see the best value his player could get and take it back to the current club to help with bargaining.   I am not surprised at all that Lids manager would be meeting with other clubs.  That does not indicate he wants to leave.

Before panic builds to hysteria, people need to remeber that the path out of a club is pretty difficult unless you play inetrstae and simply wanna go back to Vic in which case there's a heap of leverage when bottom rungs are occupied by Melbourne clubs ...if a player is disgruntled a'la O'keefe it becomes a lot more difficult to land at the preferred club unless of course they happened to finish bottom (unlikely). Ottens should not be used as an example as RFC were quite happy to see him depart after a couple of flat seasons and prospect of 2 R1 pix in compensation. I am sure the club would be much more inclined to secure Lids and like Kerr last year and Hodge and Lake right now , his manager will aim to maximise the worth of this contract as he enters his peak period...so to all, stay cool :gotigers

Wrong., he actually wants to go to a club to play finals, he  wont get that at Richmond.

Don't give lids to much tigertime, 13 contested possies , that's 25 contested possies in 2 weeks . You just don't know what's going on do you? And from those contested possies 81% effectiveness . BUT you still can't bring yourself to give him too much credit. I don't know why I bother talking to people who are just spectators and are only at the footy to be an audience.
