"Rumour File" on 3AW this morning said Richmond in preseason games will be wearing a silver guernsey with a tiger motif and be sponsored by Silvertop.

They ad a training top this year that was a grey colour. I'll try and find a pic :)
Slivertop taxis in conjunction with the TAC - promoting a road safety message - could work

Here's a pic of the grey training singlet:

I don't mind the idea for the preseason comp. but I wish we showed more creativity with our design than just a plain colour with the tiger motif bunged on the front :P.
-
Silvertop taxi's - your'e joking right !
and yeah I thought they might be able to come up with something a bit better than that training singlet :help
-
Drink drive - Silvertop - sounds like a good sponsorship fit with TAC.

Easy fit - If you Drink, don't drive, catch a Silvertop cab home instead :thumbsup

Yellow and Black cabs would look good :thumbsup.
Would Connex be upset with us promoting another form of transport?

What did we all think of the "silver" guernseys?
-
Pretty lame, but it's the Wizard Cup so no big drama.
-
I thought it was a good little earner "for the night" but found it difficult at times to distinguish between the two teams.
-
Didn't mind them at all.
-
Didn't really like them that much!
I could put up with it for that game, but if we had won i think i would of gotten fairly annoyed with them in the next game!
-
I didn't dislike it watching it live. Just think it's pretty dull. It's good to earn some extra $ from it for the night but from a merchandise perspective, which is an area we have struggled at, you wouldn't reckon kids would be rushing out to buy one.
-
Looked like grey ghosts. Do you still have them in Melb? I remember when I worked in Camberwell they were always around.
-
They were a bit hard to tell from the Collingwood tops on TV. Other than that I don't mind what the preseason top looks like.

Just noticed this from the Age yesterday:
Richmond has added yellow side-panels to its silver clash/NAB Cup guernsey.

I have a copy of the paper at home - I'll scan it tonight and post it

I personally didn't like the original silver tops, but the yellow panels make them look even more distasteful IMO. We need some better people designing our tops :help :help :help

Tigers find a Silver lining in NAB Cup

All that glitters is not gold . . . in Richmond’s case, it’s most definitely silver.
For the second year in-a-row, leading Melbourne cab company, Silver Top Taxis, will sponsor the Tigers during the pre-season competition.
As part of this sponsorship deal for the NAB Cup, the Richmond players again will wear special silver jumpers, modified this year to feature yellow panels down the side and a black Tiger’s head on the front.
Silver Top Taxi Service provides depot services and communications to more than 1850 taxis throughout Melbourne, making it by far the largest fleet in the city.
The fleet comprises sedans, station wagons, 100 wheel-chair accessible taxis, 100 higher occupancy vehicles and 185 of the prestigious ‘Silver Service’ cars.
Richmond and Silver Top look forward to a successful NAB Cup campaign in ’06 and continued growth of their partnership over the coming years.
And, don’t forget that number when you want quick, reliable taxi service – 131 008.

Gotta say they looked better than last years ones but on the TV they still look like some blue colour not grey. Poor old Silver Top Taxis 2 years running tipping in the $$$ and only getting one weeks worth of TV promotion :-\
Actually it was great just to be able to read the numbers for a change :rollin
