No probs OE.

Oh No; McMuppet/McLovin etc may be back in.  Always topical when that happens.

Probably think Hislop/Edwards/McMahon will miss out but who knows.

Like some others here I am not sold on Cogs being done and gone, his inside work is very good.

Not the players to bring in to impress the fans Jade especially Jordie lol.

Silvester will be straight swap for Moore you would think.

I hope Blingers is okay and we don't bring in Jordie as his replacement  :help

Moore out, Coughlan and McMahon in
richmondfc.com.au
By Mic Cullen Thu 16 July, 2009

FOR THE second week in a row, Richmond won’t have a debutant in the side at the MCG this weekend.

Jayden Post, Jarrod Silvester and Ty Vickery played their first AFL games in caretaker coach Jade Rawlings first three weeks. But the trend stopped there.

Tall defender Kel Moore is out of the side with a corked calf picked up in the loss to Carlton last weekend.

But given the Tigers face North Melbourne on Sunday that is the only change so far. Richmond named an extended 25-man squad that will be culled to 22 on Friday night.

Four players were added to last week's team – midfielder Mark Coughlan, ruckman Adam Pattison, tall defender Silvester and running half-back Jordie McMahon.

"They've all shown good form at VFL level," Tigers football manager Ross Monaghan told richmondfc.com.au.

"They've all be there about for a number of weeks – Jarrod's probably the anomaly, where he went up and then went back for one."

That's right Tucker, we are probably saving our "guns" in Petts and JON for the Melbourne, WC and Freo games.  Cant have them injured when we will really need them to "perform".

How funny if they brought them in for 'that' purpose and both starred kicking 10 between and being individually responsible for snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.  Image OER if that happened!    :rollin :lol

How also funny it is that Wallace was bagged for picking bad sides well people Jade has certainly trumped him here. Really athoer than Post and Vickery coming in which in my opinion would have happened anyway I can't see a lot thats changed, don't expect Jade to get the top job!

With JON as long as his rs points downwards there is no chance of that happening.  With Petts well if he looks like he is getting a roll on put him CHB or FB and let him show the AFL world his defensive side.

Although you are right and it would be a good laugh if it happened

Who else should we be picking??   ??? ???

No one else warrants it.

If plough was still here we'd still have Petts, McMahon, an injured Brown and an injured Simmo all in the 22 while 4 kids would miss out.

The sides named since Wallace left are far better.

Agreed Wallace would still be picking sides that he felt would save his job and playing injured players to boot.
Jade in 4 matches has done heaps more than Wallace did for 11 matches. Some would argue for the previous four years of his tenure too.

I would think by actually playing Vickery & Post as well putting a few players in decent positions (eg throwing Nahas in the midfield for patches) he has made some significant changes.

And IMHO if Wallace was still in the job I would doubt that Post or Vickery would have got a game and no way in hell would Nahas played inthe midfield

Also Silvester would not have got a gig- right or not at least the RFC will know one way or another if he is worth a spot on the list next year. It sure beats hanging onto players just for the sake of it. Jade has been teriffic so far in picking our side.  :clapping

Is that more a statement by the Club about Cogs' future than Edwards?!

No surprise by the only change. It seems you only get a game now if you're 23 or under.

I watched the Carlton game again today and was left with no doubt that Edwards deserved to hold his spot.  He won't learn anything more in the VFL.  Let him get more experience.

I agree, it seemed that he was instructed to move the move the ball forward at all costs and seemed to play better for it.

I was referring to the fact that he has already made comments about both teams lists and perhaps if he were to lose and tank the rest of the year it would mean a few more draft picks of young players. Given his work with the U16's and the fact that our young list he sees as more advanced than Norths as well as possibly an inside knowledge to these kids he may choose us over North on those grounds.

North Melbourne.

Another idiotic, useless win, that will cost us a star player at the end of the year. But thats alright, those who are against tanking - well i imagine there happy at the moment.  Theyll talk about a "winning culture"

North, WCE, Freo and Melb will all get a fantastic player, a couple of these will get 2 ... we will get Jack Schizen because we want a winning culture.

Come talk to us in 10 years when we will have only won 1 flag in 40 years and made the finals only twice.

We are a shambolic football club. We really are.

Some supporters Ramps just have NFi when it comes to this club.

For the first time we have the chance to right so many wrongs but no doubt we will screw this draft up yet again with another mid table finish.

These same supporters jumped for joy when we beat the HAWKS last year..

It is an indictment to most memebrs and most supporters that we are winning a meaningless game of footy today.  Other wins in subsequent weeks against Melbourne Sydney and West Coast will only highlight how far behind we are as a club and how much substance we have when we need to take the next step.
From pick 1 to pick 8 with 5 wins for the year. :banghead

there is still hope that we will get our very early pick and that would be a fantastic result indeed. there is no point in beating a club like North, they are in worse shape than us on the field.

No GR12, not you.

I can't stand us seeing play this crap and I can't see how any supporter can.

Two points are better than 4.  :rollin

We can still finish below Melbourne and Fremantle.  :thumbsup

Got North over the four wins.

losing would have been better but atleast we didnt win.

So is 16 1//2 points the maximum you can get when you get a priority or do you lose it at 16 1/2.

I think you're confusing the 'half' with a draw, Ramps.  If we won 1 more, we'd be on 18.  Therefore, we wouldn't be eligible for a draft pick.

yep ... so a draw was as bad as a win today. pretty senseless result i reckon. we have no room to manouvre with melbourne west coast etc.

Here here TA. McUseless and turnoverKING should never play in the Tiger Jumper again. Gus has to go back to the two's (got nothin) If we were serious about winning JB and Browny would be straight in to the side. Oh and well done Umpies well played NOTTTTT!!!!!

I think Melbourne can still win 5 games and get a priority pick ahead of us regardless of even if we finish on the bottom. This is so as they won 3 games last year and they do not exceed 8 wins over two years. Much like the Carlton scenarion in 2007.

Huh?  If Melbourne win 2 more games, they lose their priority pick.  It's not counted over 2 years.  You have to have 4 or fewer wins each year to get the priority pick before the first round.

Okay Danog. As I wrote "I think" in my post. Was not 100% sure. :thumbsup

Bucks will stick with the Pies after watching that. Talk about showing your best and worst in the space of 120 minutes  :-X.

Today looked like young bodies running out of puff after half-time. First half our pressure was terrific even though we were making mistakes and not getting full return on the scoreboard for our total dominance. After half-time we just stopped running and struggled to get the ball out of our backline from kick-ins and our delivery inside forward 50 was awful.

Actually today's game reminded me of Richmond vs Hawthorn towards the end of 2005 but with the roles reversed today. We came from 7 goals down at half-time in that game to pinch it and Hawthorn kept hold of their priority pick.

As for umps - they deserve their own thread after today ::).

Whoever is responsible for our match fitness needs to be looked at very very closely.  We have been woefully underdone in most games this year, getting run down in the 2nd half with monotonous regularity.  It has happened too often now to be a coincidence.

Agree smoke, goes back to the reason why we were so unprepared for Round 1. Horrible Pre Season mentally and physically.

The one thing the coach can 100% control is training/pre season and preperation.

Thanks Terry.

Yep we've played no more than 2 quarters per game all year. We either start well then fall away badly or we start slowly and then try to play catch up. I'm guessing the fitness and conditioning at the club will have been heavily reviewed in this review of the footy department.

Given the amount of kids in the side, I'm hardly surprised that they ran out of legs
It's effectively our VFL side from Round 1 who is now playing as the Richmond seniors

And that should appease all the pro-tankers because I can't see us growing any stronger or fitter in the last few weeks - even if we are trying our hardest to win!
