SEN and Jake Niall from the Age saying Police have raided Nathan Lovett-Murray's house for drugs and found a single ecstacy talent so he's been charged with drug possession. NLM maintains his innocence and his manager Peter Jess said NLM is willing to take any urine or blood test to prove his innocent. His brother and cousin's homes were raided also.

I am impressed, they didn't maneouver Cuz's name in that article somehow.
-
His car licence expired on July 7 so NLM has also been charged with driving while unlicensed as well possession of a drug of dependence.
Essendon (CEO Peter Jackson) are taking a presumption of innocence with NLM and are allowing him to continue to train.

Sorry to put it on here but i just found out that LM was charged for having one ecstasy tablet in his house. I dont condone drugs but FFS, one eccy? And why raid his house for it? Because he is an AFL star? We've seen the BS that Cuz was put through, do AFL players cop too much heat?

NLM, I was always impressed with the way he could find the pill.

Shane Warne defence beckons
It was my mum's
:wallywink

Make him pay for it, on and off the feild.
He should know better as it isn't that they ain't informed about it.
So yer throw the book at him. :wallywink

It would be interesting to know where it was found. I mean if it was at the back of a couch, who knows where it could have come from.

I hate drugs and what they do to people and the lives they ruin for some
Could never support a friend or family member taking them because you wouldn't if you loved or cared for them
But if they want to take 'em who am I to judge
He's a grown up and he can make his own decisions in life
If the AFL came down on him and not others that would be a bit hypocritical wouldn't it if they pick and choose who they're going to penalise?
I'm sure their drug testing has shown up a few others ;) but doesn't appear to be any action by the AFL
And nor should it, it's a personal thing IMO

As richogun said earlier there may be a bit more to it but if it was a random i dont believe the police would care.
-
Interesting Essendon said that he doesnt drink or smoke, WELL HELLO, you dont have to , if you know what I mean ;)
-
As mentioned in the other thread, NLM was also charged with driving while unlicensed as his licence had expired on July 7 and he forgot to renew it.
I'll merge the two threads.

Use a brain ppl - Like RG said, You don't get your house raided for being under Suspicion of 1 eccy.
The guy should learn to keep better company IF it's not his.
Seems like a prik from where I stand, probably play the ace of spades card, they usually do !!!! ;D
-
How embarrasing for the cops to go to all the trouble to raid his house and find one pill
-
l'm not suprised at all, but his not guilty till he goes to court & defends himself.
-
I heard on local radio today that NLM misheard Knights.
Knights asked him to go out and take a spEccy!! :lol

Bomber a target for testing
Samantha Lane | August 6, 2009
NATHAN Lovett-Murray will be target-tested by the AFL indefinitely as a result of his criminal charge of drug possession.
Like Richmond’s Ben Cousins and the players who have returned positive tests to illicit substances, Lovett-Murray will be among those singled out by AFL doctors regardless of the ruling in his October court case.

Hutchy just said NLM may be charged with a second charge of aiding and abetting drug trafficking but NLM will fight all charges. They planned to arrest him on last Friday on a full on raid around the state but he was playing in Perth at the time.
