NAB Cup Round 2
Fremantle vs. Richmond
5.10pm, Sunday, March 4 @ Patersons Stadium
TV: Fox Footy / FOXTEL on T-Box / Telstra Mobile
What is everyone's thoughts about next weekend against Freo?
Do we send close to our best side across the Nullarbor to build upon last week's effort or do we send a young side instead to give them experience of interstate travel and avoid having our guns doing a 6-hour round trip by plane just for a practice match?
-
Go at 85%. Mostly probables, a few possibles, and blood a couple so we can gain some form and momentum hit round 1 running.
-
Maybe rest Cotchin and Martin. Otherwise a full squad. Give Jack a full game to get some run into his legs.
-
Half game Cotchin Martin Foley
Give a role to Jack lets say CHF Vickery FF
Play Post Grimes Rance rotating through the backline and pinch hit up front if need be.
Don't show our cards but play those that need to play to get match fit in line for round 1.
Round 1 must always be our focus.
-
Likely will send a younger squad and then line up all the senior "big guns" for NAB 3
-
Think Freo will play a pretty strong side actually, We need to play the likes of Rance, Morris, Ellis, Maric x 2, maybe Browne, Griff if he ok, Grimes......We need to play our backline that will line up against the Blues as we let a few easy goals get through in the previous games.
Maybe play all the forwards we can too, rotate the centre's around over 2 halves.
-
For those in Perth, there'll be a Richmond training session on Saturday from 2.30pm. Free Kids Clinic (Kitchener Oval - next to Patersons Stadium) Sausage Sizzle - 1.30pm - 3.30pm.
-
No injuries for the kick n giggle.
-
Does anyone have a 'streaming' location for the game? :-X

I blame the existing lack of internet infrastructure.
When will the Libs get a clue and stop blocking the NBN? >:(

This week about getting the young guys use to travelling as well as the typical preseason stuff of working on our forward and defensive structures. Verrier, A.Maric, O'Hanlon, Arnot, Elton, Wright, Derickx, Morris and Ellis will all play. Derickx to play a bit in the ruck on Sunday as well as up forward. I was watching the replay of League Teams before tonight's game, and it's odd/funny/ass hattery how when they came to this match, at the start they thought it was crook that we were the long odds after our first performance.. then turn around at the end and unanimously tip the jetty lickers.

Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a 'screamer' T/B :-[ No one in my family can put up with me so I have to isolate myself in my soundproofed(I play guitar and banjo) study, hence the need for a computer 'stream'. By the end of the night I wear out a 'rabbit trail', running from the study to the fridge to the dunny. ;D

That's okay I've got a toddler who'll be sleeping at the time so I'll probably have to venture off to the pub unless my wife manages to tape up my mouth. :lol :rollin :lol

Preview: Fremantle v Richmond
The Age
March 4, 2012
Patersons Stadium, today 8.10pm (Melb time)
RICHMOND has obviously worked on its forward pressure, in fact its defensive pressure all over the ground. Everyone at Richmond has something good to say about new assistant coach Ross Smith and the impact he is already having re-working the defensive structures. The Tigers have the small forwards, the likes of Jake King and Robin Nahas, to hunt down running defenders and cause turnovers.
There were some positive signs down back, too. Steven Morris and rookie-listed defender Brandon Ellis are likely prospects and looked just that in the first round of games. Richmond plays Carlton, Collingwood, Melbourne, Geelong and West Coast in the first five rounds — a season-shaping stretch — so the Tigers can't afford to hit round one in anything less than top gear. Building to that through the NAB Cup, then, becomes crucial and their form takes on more relevance.
The Dockers are also honing their defensive system under new coach Ross Lyon. It will take a while, maybe most of 2012, but the club is confident the existing talent coupled with Lyon's gritty, no-nonsense style will make the Purple Haze difficult to play against this year. The coach wants to get game time into his likely round one line-up so key defenders Luke McPharlin and Alex Silvagni come in. Ruckman Jon Griffin will also play, as Aaron Sandilands will step out after a half, and skipper Matthew Pavlich might also limit himself to two quarters. Key forward Kepler Bradley has also been named.
KEY ABSENTEES
DOCKERS: Missing at least six, possibly eight, of their best 22. David Mundy is running 13 kilometres every second day on return from ankle surgery to be right for round one. Michael Barlow is in a similar boat, but is more likely to be ready for the start of the season, with the club backing off his workload during the past two weeks.
TIGERS: It's vice-captain Trent Cotchin's turn to sit out and he will be joined by fellow midfielder Nathan Foley, Shaun Grigg and Daniel Jackson, as well as defender Dylan Grimes. Brett Deledio's hamstring strain keeps him sidelined for another week, while Reece Conca is serving a three-week suspension.

Preview: Fremantle v Richmond
2/3/2012
Jonathan Healy
Sportal
WE THINK: Freo are always hard to beat at Patersons Stadium and we see no reason to jump off them in this one. Important ruckman Aaron Sandilands is set to play his first game of the year, while the Dockers already have many of their experienced players up and running. Richmond's young brigade of players - led by Dustin Martin, Alex Rance, Steven Morris and Brandon Ellis - will fight hard for the visitors, but it should be the Dockers getting the points in this one. Fremantle by 33 points.

Richmond 3.0-18
Fremantle 2.4-16
Goals: Riewoldt, Miller, Nahas

A lot of wasted opportunities in that first quater.
The kids won't to rush it in and choke when going into foward 50, as a result we let them get it into their f50 way too quickly and easily
-
Siren. Quarter time
Richmond 3.0-18
Fremantle 2.4-16

Cheers MT
-
Commentators made a rare good point. We need to slow it down and get some numbers in front when working it out of the back half.
-
Vickery starting :thumbsup and a goal :thumbsup
-
goal
-
Possies:
Martin 7
Miller, Newy, Postie, Webbs all with 6
Tuck 5
Ellis, Houli, Morris, Rance, Jack and TV with 4.
Fairly even in the stats so far.
-
Vickery starting :thumbsup and a goal :thumbsup
Good acceleration from Jack too to get clear of the two purple's and hand it off to White.
-
Doesn't it poo you when unknown players don't get kudos for doing stuff big names would get lauded for? Morris gained 10 meters on that jet Hill over a 50 metro sprint and then threw himself at the legs of someone coming full pelt and not one mention. If that was Judd or hodge geez we would still be hearing about it.
Posty :thumbsup confidence is growing and he's showing a bit. Good thing is after he fluffed that short pass due to having no options up the ground, the next time he just pumped it long when there were no options again, if you r going to miss miss long.
Rance looks good, fwd line functioning really well, miller continues to make me eat my word, the fwd press has looked ok at times
Q2 starting
-
good play there besides for webberley's(i think it was him) drop handball.
Martin made up for it though with his handball to the ground to him self.

I know the exact moments you speak of! Morris has a fair bit of grunt in him. I love when he bowled over the bloke around the thighs at full pelt, not going too low to give away tripping. Post is looking good too.
And how good was Jack's blind hand ball :lol
-
Martin busting through again like there's no one there :bow.
Goal to us :gotigers
Rich 30
Freo 16
3 mins Q2

Rich 32
Freo 42
-
Heat may get to us in the end unless we can break away, don't want a close one in the heat.
-
Half-time
Richmond 3.0 5.2-32
Fremantle 2.4 6.6-42
Goals: Riewoldt 2, Vickery, Nahas, Miller
-
The umps have set up at least 2 freo goals.
-
Verrier looks out of his league!
-
Mcguane :lol
What exactly has fyfe done? Had a handful of possies, half of them turnovers, the others ineffective and he's a class above? :huh ball falls into his lap from a fumble in a pack "oh wow fyfe, he's a cut above in the centre" stuff off
Thought we held our own, bit unlucky not to get reward on the scoreboard for some pretty intense fwd pressure. Lst 5 mins when a couple of the rookies came on you could tell we dropped off
-
Freo got some momentum towards the end of the half, but good to see players like Verrier and O'Hanlon having a massive crack and taking on the opposition without rushing disposals. Shows they aren't scared and even the young fellas have some grunt. Morris let himself down with that poo kick after the free but he has been attacking really hard. He'll be a ripper once he settles down and gets some home and away season acclimatisation.
Clearances are awesome with only Dusty as the back bone.
-
Possies:
Martin 16
Jack 10
Tucky 10
Webbs 10
Morris 9
Houli 7
King 7
I.Maric 7
McGuane 7
Miller 7
Edwards 6
Ellis 6
Newy 6
Post 6
Rance 6
Vickery 5
White 5
Batchelor 4
Helbig 3
Nahas 3
O'Hanlon 1
Freo has had 48 more disposals and 11 more marks. Pretty much that gap all came in the 2nd qtr. Tigers need to lift their workrate.
-

Hasn't got on the field yet. I wonder if we'll make the change of a defensive tall since they're handling the pressure pretty well. McGuane has done some poo things but has provided a few timely punches.
-
nab cup tempo gone up ???? :lol
you been watching McGuane for far too long, Morris will take his spot & may he never again be seen in season 2012 ;D
-
I guess not unexpected given the side we've put out on the park with most of our starting midfield missing but lucky it is a practice match where the result doesn't matter. We've been smashed in general play for most of tonight. Really all we're done is have a 5 minute patch in the 1st quarter where we slammed on 3 goals in quick succession and then another 5 mins at the start of the 2nd quarter for the other 2 goals.

Get with the prgram WAT - he's not in the squad so he isn't playing ;D

I guess not unexpected given the side we've put out on the park with most of our starting midfield missing but lucky it is a practice match where the result doesn't matter. We've been smashed in general play for most of tonight. Really all we're done is have a 5 minute patch in the 1st quarter where we slammed on 3 goals in quick succession and then another 5 mins at the start of the 2nd quarter for the other 2 goals.
Hardwick will rest some this quarter & play the young players, as l said its a hitout & thats it
True although Dimma's already playing some of the young players in the first half (O'Hanlon). Looks like Arnot, Derickx and Dea are on.
Freo first goal of the second half.

This is a very poor performance by Fremantle considering thier quality of players on the field.
we were only 12 points down before that last minute 9 pointer to make it 21 points at 3/4 time
-
If there's one thing we need to work on after tonight it's our clearances or lack of from defence and our kick-ins. Gifted Freo 3/4ers of their goals from turning it over.

33 points down, is that reflective of the side we have out there?

Conners career is over :thumbsup
-
Disappointing last 10 minutes but up until then a good effort by the young Cubs
Some tough calls need to be made - Webberley's disposal was terrible, cannot afford to have that in the real stuff. I know I am not a Dea fan but seriously I haven't seem anything so far this pre-season to say to me there's improvement.
Couple of the rookies have a long way to go, well of the pace of the game but their attack on the ball good
Was really impressed with "mini" Maric
Add Webberley & Dea to the list of poor disposers with poor disposal ;D
Batchelors disposal hasnt been anything to write home about either.
Have to agree Flagman - thought a few times he should roosted it 50 metres into the F50 rather trying to pass it 20-30 metres
-
Well not that it means much but the scum haven't won a game yet.....

yeah, couple of howlers at critical times, straight to man on the mark, or a stupid short pass intercepted..party needs to do better than that
-
Connors went ok from what I heard on the radio. Mini Maric and Derickx seemed to have gone alright along with sheddy
-
Webberley not up to it
Agree
-
Must add tigers need to play as close to their round 1 side -v- Geelong next week - super important IMHO
Fortunately Deledio will be back :thumbsup
-
who's piva ?????????????
-
On a positive note Ellis is a very nice player indeed and should play r1. I also like the look of Elton. Addam Maric needs to play r1 and big Maric in the ruck is competitive. Morris shows potential although needs to work on his kicking.
-

what for, with the season nearly a month away that a strange tactic :huh
-
McGuane gawn.
Webberley shocking disposal.
Dea sadly won't make it.
Connors kicked a goal but will have to win the Brownlow to stay on the list.
Love Ellis, Morris Post has been good too.
Batch was disappointing tonight. Disposal was terrible. If you can kick it 60 metres and penetrate deep into the fwd line why kick it 20 and cause turnovers. :-\
Kids hung in there and in the end overrun by silly errors, the travel the heat and the much stronger Freo side. Pretty much my assumption.
Not too disappointed. Play our round 1 side against Geelong and take it from there.
-

Agree, Ellis looks sensational.
Elton is raw as a vegetable but has enormous potential.
Morris looks to be similar to Rance, as long as we rebound with our ball users Morris will be very effective. Great attitude.
Mini Maric should be elevated and play round 1 agree, miles ahead of a Connors even White IMO.
Ivan is a gun, was so refreshing to see a Tiger ruck win the majority of ruck and pack contests. Derickx was handy too.
Edwards I actually thought played quite well as did Tuck.
Think we're blooding some kids far too early, it is the NAB cup but some of the rookies were very far out at sea tonight. Don't know what people see in Matty Dea, don't think I've seen him do anything really well yet, hope to see it soon.
Good signs, tonight had a stack out and the pressure we put Freo under at times was superb.
-

what for, with the season nearly a month away that a strange tactic :huh
Got to play at least a quarter or a half against Geelong if fit just to get some match conditioning. We aren't making the NAB cup GF so play the side get some match time in for our Round 1 side against a side whose campaign is still alive and learn from the reigning premiers.
-
Not sure what to take out of that game. It really ebbed and flowed right until the last five minutes when they kicked away.
Anyway, Ellis really impressed me. He looks good to go round 1. I like the boy allot.
Morris goes hard but his kicking is very poor. I would let him fix that up in the vfl before playing him to be honest. Could get badly exposed round 1.
Thought Bachelor was absolutely shocking. Poor decisions and poor delivery. But i forgive him because i like him and this is not his usual output.
Webberly was equally as poor. A bit of a worry that one.
Liked the games of both Marics. They will both be very handy pick-ups. The mullet is definitely an upgrade on the shemale.
Baring Ellis most of our rookies looked way out of their depth, but this isnt surprising and they will be better for the run.
We gave away far too many stupid free kicks around the contest. I really hope Dimma highlights it and stamps it out before the main dance.
All in all not a bad game. Tough for us to fly over and play in the heat too.
-
I have posted many times.Matt Dea won't make it.
Round 1.must play Ellis and the Marics' .Ivan and Addam
Post plays before McGaune
Couldn't possibly play Matt White or Webberley

Agree.
Would think Mini Maric would be a great sub.
-
Got run over in the end but pretty stoked how we went rolling with 11 first years. I'll feel a bit better having a couple in the side when we go through injury patches.
Positives:
-Jack's back. Running good, took a great mark in the first quarter and played team footy up around half forward. Great hands.
-Derickx's body. Turned the ball over a bit but saw him several times muscle his opponent completely out of the ruck contest. Ripper kick for goal.
-Ellis. Clean, fast, smart. Got a player here folks :shh
-Elton's guts. After Nob 1 he's still busting into over head contests. The attempt when Derickx got the free and a goal was a ripper. Good kick for goal too.
-Mini Maric. Speed, monster kick and clean.
-Miller. Really mobile and a very, very valuable 3rd tall up forward.
-Morris' aggression. Really needs to work on that disposal, but he is quick and doesn't care about smashing into people and puts his body on the line. Some good run downs and tackles too.
I also thought Connors didn't do too shabby for a first game in so long. Killer tackle on Spurr in the last quarter. Our spoiling was pretty good and defensive pressure is certainly an improvement on last year. Big Maric is a very welcome addition. Like everyone, did a few silly things, but actually takes over head marks and puts the heat on the opposition. Thought his clean take and bomb from the ruck in the second quarter was cool. Edwards is a massive improvement on last year. I also liked how we put together a few good linking plays involving nothing but first years and rookies in the final quarter. They'll slip in seamlessly with the main team should they find themselves in the side during the season.
Negatives:
-Dea. Not sure what the wrap on him from the coaches is. I've found my whipping boy for the year. Can't read the play, can't stop an opponent and can't dispose reliably.
-Webberly. The want looks like it is there. But if it doesn't work, it just doesn't work. Seemed like things went his way in Nob 1, but turned over the footy at way too many crucial points tonight.
-When the heat is on it looks like some of our plans fall apart. I'll excuse this on the all the snot noses on the field, but sometimes when we had possession behind a mark and trying to move into our forward half we were rushing it instead of letting numbers get in front. Other times it wasn't clear if we were meant to be going through the middle or long and wide, seemed like local footy just kicking to contests or anyone with 2m on their opponent.
I'll leave it at that for now. I don't want the negatives to outweigh the positives :D
-
Agreed mini Maric has great pace and good disposal.
Will be handy in Round 1 coming on as a sub.
-
Dea won't be the new whipping boy, why?
He won't get a game
-
Agreed mini Maric has great pace and good disposal.

whoa, whats with the sub business i wanna see him have a crack for 4Q :shh

At this stage these players would have secured a position in R1 against Carlton
Deledio, Martin, Riewoldt, Cotchin, Newman, Rance, I.Maric, Tuck, Jackson, Nahas, Vickery, Conca, Foley, Ellis, Miller, A.Maric, Edwards, Houli, Grigg, (3 spots still open IMHO).
-
I would like to see mini Maric keep king out of the side for the whole season!
-
Addam in a game last year had 31 touches and 11 inside 50,a.can play

I really liked Mini Maric too and he would have to be pushing for a game. But how many shrimps can you have in the side;
Foley, Nahas, King, Matty White are all midgets.
Edwards, Cotchin and Conca are leprechauns too.
-
My take-
Batch to slow and his awareness is terrible. And thats not just from tonight. Tigers supporters make me laugh the way we claim our next big thing. Will say it right now, will not make it. Same goes for Webberley, just another Nason.
Also don't think Ellis is quite ready either for round 1. Did just ok tonight. Noticed he fumbled a fair bit tonight.
Morris struggled also, dispossal by both foot and hand are VFL standard at best.
Both Marics should play round 1 and maybe Derickx but that's about it from the newbies.
All in all i think it was a massive waste of time! Why play players that are CLEARLY nowhere near AFL standard.
Players, even for NAB Cup games should earn there spot.
-

I like it but not sure if Grigg is a lock yet? Let's see how Morris goes next week first, at this stage I would rather see him in taking a role on Bets or Gartlet.
One of Post or Grimes will have to play (or even both) and I think Batchelor will still get a gigg even though he had an off night tonight, don't forget he still got plenty of the pill.
-
Ivan Maric a gun I have heard it all. Average player. Being slightly better than Browne and Gus' form of 2011 means SFA
-

lol....Maric only played a half and got more tap outs to advantage than Gus and Browne did combined last season! Derickx is only a slight upgrade on both at this stage but if I was Gus I would be calling the police because it seemed fairly obvious at times the Derickx had been stealing notes from Gus's handbag.....

Really disagree there old bud. I reckon he was really good. honestly. Works really hard around the ground and is aggressive. I think he'l have a big impact for us this year.
-
LMAO 3 or 4 contested marks. Took 2 marks for the game and had 6 touches, 4 of which went to Fremantle :lol

Let's not forget Gus was dropped for this game :lol :lol

According to RFCO, Hardwick praised Ellis, Helbig and Batch after the game tonight.
Funny how the coach sees it differently isn't it, everyone bagged Batchs game....
-
not everyone. thought he was very handy. made a few mistakes but worked his ass off
-
Grow up, man. If you can't discuss something properly then go troll somewhere else.
Let's discuss it then! Maric rucked the first half and our second string midfield dominated more so than we have in years fact! Gus dosent have a tank and has little influence in the center circle and less influence around ghe ground fact! You are trying to defend the indefensible dude, if I were you I would just sit back and watch Maric continually do poo that Gus could only dream of and get used to it ;)
-
Put a line through webberley, dea, white and mcguane. Morris just needs to improve decision making, he can play. Batch is trying to be too cute with setting up play, he's been given more responsibility bc he's a good kick and is a smart player, he's just got to find the right balance. A.maric has done enough, elevate him. Thought we finished with way to green a side, shouldn't get blownnaway like that.... it's all well and good to say big deal 7 goal loss with players missing, what happens next week when we play a full side against Geelong if we cop a 10 goal battering?
-
I think this is the wrong thread for ruck dept guys... But here's my take
I honestly think last year before the season started they were looking at having the option of Gus, Browne, Derikx backed by Vickery and Griffs being able to come in for vicks and Miller there as a supportive tall.
We all know what unfolded last year and with limited options in trade week, we have Ivan Maric.
He will be servicable and aim to keep his spot.
If by the time FA comes in and we have the $$$ for an A grade ruck, I could bet on the club making that move..
I see Ivan as a short term sollution, who will be given the chance to make the role his to keep. If not cyaz
Just how I see this, could be totally wrong bout it all though
-

What does Gus have to do with Maric playing an average at best game and then getting talked about like we've traded in Polly Farmer? Maric is an average player. Nothing more. Gus, Browne or whoever you want to compare him with doesn't change that FACT. I'm not defending anything. I suggest you search my 2011 posts on Angus Graham. Or hop onto Y&B and look at my old posts on him. I've been one of his toughest critics
6 touches, 2 marks (one was very good) and a couple of bad turnovers. Yes his effort is good (that's why we traded for him) but he was nothing special.

If not cyaz
Just how I see this, could be totally wrong bout it all though
sounds fair enough mate

>:(According to RFCO, Hardwick praised Ellis, Helbig and Batch after the game tonight.
Funny how the coach sees it differently isn't it, everyone bagged Batchs game....
Besides a couple obvious dud kicks, I thought he was pretty good too. Good body size and does all the things a running defender does- chase, tackle, spoil, rebound. He did all pretty well tonight IMO.
-
Did someone post we should axe Gus and Browne because we have maric now??
I agree about Dea and webbers
But if maric goes down, we Gus and Browne- regardless of past form.
Shake and Bake :shh

I would like to see mini Maric keep king out of the side for the whole season!
Maric would play a different role. Does not put enough effort into chasing players and tackling. Good offensive player though
-
Grow up, man.

Where have I said he was anything more than average? Average he might be but in the games I have seen him play he has shown he is way better than the well below average Gus and Browne.

Must add tigers need to play as close to their round 1 side -v- Geelong next week - super important IMHO
Fortunately Deledio will be back :thumbsup
what for, with the season nearly a month away that a strange tactic :huh
Got to play at least a quarter or a half against Geelong if fit just to get some match conditioning. We aren't making the NAB cup GF so play the side get some match time in for our Round 1 side against a side whose campaign is still alive and learn from the reigning premiers.
Thank you Tucker
Cannot afford to (if possible) to take anyone into the real stuff without some game time in thier legs
Also, as we wont be playing in the NAB cup GF we don't know where we will playing in NAB 4 - we may have charter a plane to get to Ballarat or something ;D ;D
Seriously, we know next we will be playing on a AFL standard surface better to play our top liners there than on some country ground that may not be of the same quality

According to RFCO, Hardwick praised Ellis, Helbig and Batch after the game tonight.
Helbig did indeed do some nice things.

The more I rest on last night the more confident I am. There was a ripper link in the last quarter. It started with either Morris or Arnot winning a ball off the ground in the back 50, hands off to Ellis who accelerated out a lobbed a tidy one to mini-Maric who left his opponent in dust, then finished with a dead eye monster boot to a free Elton in the forward 50. All new guys making a stand. If Jack, Miller or Vickory go down for whatever reason, I'm a little more confident with Elton taking the post. He still has some way to go but he's already showing what you want from a first year KPF.
-
I was like a lot of others in thinking that Batchelor's game was very average so maybe he was playing to instructions but stuffed if I could see what they were.
And I'm warming to Elton quickly.

LMAO 3 or 4 contested marks. Took 2 marks for the game and had 6 touches, 4 of which went to Fremantle :lol
i enjoy the way he blocks for his midfielders so they can win clearances rather than just stand there and watch after the ruck contest
-
wow. It really goes to show how differently we interpret games, because i thought Batch was truly woeful last night, and im generally a fan of his.

I think the most significant difference between Maric and Graham/Browne was shown in a comment made by Hardwick post-game:
“I thought he was very, very good in the first half. We were up clearances quite comfortably in the first half,”
We ranked 12th in the league for clearances last season and that, along with a lack of defensive pressure, were the 2 things that the footy dept identified as key problems we needed to work on over summer, so if he is able to impact our season like that then we will be a lot more competitive in a lot more games.
And I didn't think Derrickx showed very much at all when he came on.

There's no doubt Maric is an improvement on last year. It's just the talk about Maric being some kind of wizard that gets on my saggy t!ts. He's nothing special. Just a battler who gives 100% and has better marking ability than Angus Graham.
Derickx gave away plenty of frees when he was out there. Took one or two nice grabs though

I think we were all just excited that we were just getting someone to the club that could actually Ruck!

No worries Willy. I'm a massive fan of his too. So much in fact that I'm seriously considering sponsoring Batchy in 2013. But I thought he had really good presence last night. His disposal was poop but it looked like he was playing a completely different role. I highly doubt he'll be spending so much time so far up the ground with the responsibility of setting up plays when our usual midfield is in place. Like smokey suggested, good chance he was playing to instructions. He is usually one of our most solid and reliable users.
:thumbsup
