Exactly, were beaten by 3 arguably better teams and lost by a point to a great side where it could've gone either way.
Was hoping we would win last night aqnd possibly lose to west coke and be sitting 6-4.... I would have been content with that. Now last night has thrown a spanner in the works and Monday nights game is Do or Die :fencing

name the poor kicks and poor decision makers in that lot theres few but theres lots of promise height size and good skills.
its time to phase out the battlers who time and time again have shown they are not good enough to take us forward.who fail every single time theres a bit of pressure on to perform.
please no more nahas, mcguane, white, king, jackson, grigg, lonergan lol, make blokes like vickery earn their spot by performing the role we need em to perform at coburg.no more rance and the constant mistakes week in week out he either learns to eliminate em or he can pee off.
look at that lot no wonder we got beat most of em make dumb mistakes every week and most of em cant kick a ball at afl level.
they are not and have never been the answer.
we all want to be competetive and so we understand why we play some of them, but ffs not all at once. why lonergan in front of arnot or petterd in front of dea. white nahas instead of mcdonough we need to develop our younger players and find out who will take us forward and who wont.
why 4 small poorly skilled forwards in edwards king white and nahas only one in edwards can play in the midfield and for smalls their foot skills are not up to the standard. ffs what ever happened to the mantra of if you cant kick or make a sound decision you dont play for richmond. its been thrown out the window and we are going backwards at a rate of knots because of it.

My only worry with this is
- Chaplin. Does his good out way the bad. Is he a superior long term prospect to Mcintosh, Darrou, Astbury?
- A Edwards age is a negative. Little/no defensive pressure and does nothing if the ball is not kicked perfect to him.
- Pettard cant kick.
- Houli is too soft.

against the good sides this yr we have little credability but we sure as hell have about 6 games to go 4 against top 5 sides where we can gain plenty.
i have maintained finals would be a bonus this yr but i wouldnt read much into them. one only needs look at nm. a side on a par with us in many ways made finals one yr only top miss the next. imo making finals is not the guide we should be looking at to ascertain just where we are at or judge solely how much we have improved. i still think we played better footy of at the least just as well for most of last yr than this yr.

Chaplin is playing well. We still have beaten 1/8 of the top eight so if he proves himself thats good. During his injury scare I saw his worth. IT will be fantastic if his H&A top 4 side games and finals he continues his form.
A Edwards is still a list blocker. I would rather McBean, Griffiths, Elton, Ohanlon, astbury, mcdount etc. The Coach of North said getting ride of Aaron Edwards allowed Aaron Black and M Daw to get development time in the seniors. We are giving this chance to our highly talented young KPP.
Pettard decent depth. I would still prefer the like of Dea, Arnot, Helbig, Knights, to be ahead of him in line
Houli is a squib. He is soft. Very skillful and a nice kick. Bryce Gibbs-like. But i do like him. Allah Alkba.

At 1pm yesterday we were scheduled to play Carlton at 1:45 and we were assuming we are going to play against Essendon or Port in the finals and today the assumption is no different.
Yep I hate losing to Carlton more than any other team but we have bigger fish to fry and life goes on.
For those of us old enough to remember we thrashed Carlscum on 2nd semi final day 1982 and they returned the favour a fortnight later. Whilst losing to them stings more than anything I also think losing in a fortnight to another cheating drug lab of a footy club will be worse considering what has been revealed so far.
Yes it hurts but we have bounced back quite well this year and I expect us to return to our much more improved output. Take a chill pill boys. :thumbsup

I will say it for the last time, the context of this thread was my opinion as to where we were at, at the time. This is a forum and I was having a say, we did not deserve to play finals the way we were travelling and that's that..IMO!

As for the culprits, both sides havent conceded an inch so you may as well have it out. You can only blame yourselves as far as im concerned.

When you get one deluded set of fans who for some still think they have done nothing wrong and will have their premiership points deducted against another set of deluded fans who are proud of their clubs cheating, tanking and misappropriation but will find it reprehensible being called cheats by the other mob then we may see some European soccer type of violence.

I think the real issue is that depending on what weak/week it is, sometimes we deserve it and sometimes we don't.
I am wondering what happens in off season when we aren't playing, how do we tell if we deserve it or not.

That's the problem, you shouldn't of said it in such haste. Should of considered the direction we were headed not just our result on the weekend ::)

The problem is, they showed it again during more games for the year...yes we are in the finals, if we deserve to be there will soon be seen. Or if we are there just to make up the numbers. There were quite a few games this year that showed we didn't deserve it and quite a few that showed we did. So we could of dragged this thread out for all the losses and the other one saying we do deserve it out for the wins. Look at it both ways.
