Title: Resource Limit Reached???

Just after some feedback

Are folks getting timed out occassionally when they are trying to post? With the an error message appearing that says "Resource Limit Reached" or soemthing similar?

Yes I know it fixes after short while

But just not happy it's happening at all. We are coming up to busy time, FA, Trade, draft etc ;D

I thought it may have just been me but if it is happening to everyone then we can get onto our web hosts and get them to investigate

Try Hostgator. Been using them for forum hosting for years and never ever had an outage or any over utilisation issues. They are also very well priced and provide excellent customer service.

At this stage we wont be getting a new hosting service tiga. The mob we are with these days we are extremely happy with - outside of the resource limit issue. Which is only a recent problem

Being the "non-techo" arm of this organisation I have a theory on what might be causing it and I'm about to discuss with Mr OE the "techo wiz" of this operation :thumbsup

Our hosts have listed with a number of possible reasons for the resource limit error messages and with them we are carefully going through the process of eliminating each possible reason one at a time.

As part of this process of reducing our resource load on their servers, we require all animated gifs, be it avatars or signatures, to be removed while we try and pin down the cause.
