Title: What would a loss to GWS mean to you as a Richmond supporter?

As a supporter. As a member.

Your perspective on the club, coach, players, the recruiting.

Could it get any worse?

As a supporter. Disgusted. Another 5 year plan failed.
As an 17 year member. See above

Club is skata. From top to toe plop plop plop.
Coach is full of malakies. Tokenistic. Started well but has changed his tune. No different to his predecessors.
Players a few good, some who try, most are lazy ineffectual selfish f toads Typical RFC list since 82.
Recruiting. Blair Hartley = Greg Miller Mark 2

It can always get worse.  If nothing else this admin has built the Punt road training centre and dropped our debt to 0.  We could be 20 million in debt and playing out of coburg oval if it really went pear shaped.
Still it would poo me no end to lose to Gws this year.  Next year not so much.

I actually want us to lose because a victory against gws would mean nothing. At least a loss would finally convince the club that major change needs to occur.  A win would continue to put putty into the cracks for just that little bit longer. We need to have those imposters that pretend to be Richmond players outed for good. Guys like Elton, McIntosh, Miles and even Darrou need to be given a chance. Dimma has really lost the plot.

You reckon y&b?
They haven't been convinced after 32 years why would a loss on Sat convince them?
We are the worst performed club in the modern era.

I know we are but Hardwick has only been there for 4. He might be a very slow learner.

A win with mass suspensions from an all-in brawl would be the best of all worlds.

with all due respect this current administration had very little to do with the new Punt Road Training Facilities. They were mostly organised by Steve Wright and his administration.

We are in a lose-lose situation this week. Win and the footy world will just say we should have, lose and the avalanche of speculation and negative focus will grow.

I'm at a point where I'm expecting a loss. Mumford is a huge in for them (anyone see that stat saying that with him GWS was No. 1 for clearances without him they went to No. 18!). He will smash Hampson. The only positive I was hanging my hat on for this game was the inclusion of Miles..... :facepalm

That it will be an easier exit out of the Car Park. In saying that I might hang around to see the free Crusty Demons show after the match.

Nothing for me.

Damien Hardwick has to realise that he has been thrown under a bus by people at Richmond FC.

why

Well because 1) someone or some people believed in el cheapo recruiting from other clubs which seen us scrape the bottom of the worst barrels when it comes to recruiting and 2) because when they saw Campbell and Leppitsch walk out the door they replaced them with assistants who had no or very limited experience, add that to a rather average panel and that leads to disaster.

The problem with Richmond today is they shop from Target when they should be looking to shop from Henry Bucks.

I actually don't think it's a goof thing of we win

It will simply be claimed the selection policy was right all a long.

Chaplin and grigg indeed too big to be dropped and the coach having the spotlight removed

Another year of covering the cracks instead of facing the problem

Agree with you here Ramps. The loss of Leppa was big. We are struggling with our one-on-one work - Leppa used to be a brilliant one-on-one coach. Made a huge difference to both Rance and Riewoldt's body work when he first arrived.

A win against GWS  will make me feel the same as when Jordie kicked that goal after siren- a little bit dirty.

Couldn't give a stuff if we don't win another game all year. A loss would mean nothing, neither would a win.

His inferior replacement Grigg is not only still on our list but a virtualy untouchable member of our first 22. That's a far bigger joke.

C'mon boys. Where have you all been? We know how this works we've all seen it before.

We will win a few, gain some confidence & win some 50/50 games.
Maybe even get close or even beat a good team.

We will finish only 2 or 3 games out of the eight, we're not far off it and we are just close enough for everyone at Richmond to realise they were right all along. It's not personel or game plan but momentum and confidence. It's not the stench of mediocrity or poor culture at all, it's injuries & continuity.
We aren't not that far away because we nearly beat Geelong and we did well against Sydney etc.

All we need is a couple of top ups and to continue to give the same olds a run to give them confidence.
Edwards 2 more years, Vickery a 3 year deal, Grigg (we need) 4 year extensions, and we trade back Derickx with our second round pick because he's a gun at Sydney.

The cycle of Skata ain't over yet. Plop plop plop.
