A bit of generation bashing in the main footy threads has resulted in its own thread here.
So which generation has the poorest personal qualities?
ill declare my hand upfront and say im a gen x for transparency, and also, get the ball rolling:~
interwar/silent generation ~ born 1918~1944. traditional. moral. civic.
Baby boomers:~ born 1945~1964. the generation that had it all and had it easy, with access to free education, cheap housing and jobs a plenty. often referred to as the greedy or materialistic generation, who arguably also oversaw the destruction of planet on their watch. Lacks empathy and experience as to the difficulties of the current generations and the real world experiences of younger generations.
Generation X:~ born 1965 to 1981. The pessimistic, jaded generation. Unfocused.
Generation Y:~ born 1982~1995. Lazy, programmed for instant self gratification, and have unrealistic expectations of others and themselves. Sheltered.
i Generation:~ born 1996~2010. now beginning to enter the workforce. digital natives. sensitive, conservative . lack social skills due to a full lufe of the internet, mobile phones, instant messaging and the like

Generation X:~ born 1965 to 1981. The pessimistic, jaded generation. Unfocused.
As a member of this so called generation I can say the above is absolute crap.
Though it is a reasonable assumption to say that I am indeed pessimistic about Richmond but that's about it in the pessimistic stakes ;D

I am in my early 50s and have heard these arguments so many times about each generation.i think it might have something to do with the fact us oldies don't like change,and think our own youth was magical...In an episode of Becker once ,someone kept hammering to him the good old days and he responded "in the good old days they used to crap in their hats"

Nup Dwainos already posted and I've been up and done my shopping and been for a run and did a little bit of house work. Now to kick back for a little while before work. We aren't all lazy pricks :thumbsup
I reckon Gen X are the worst, most of them think their poo don't stink

Nup Dwainos already posted and I've been up and done my shopping (with parents money) and been for a run (on Ps4)) and did a little bit of house work (put away the clothes which mum washed, dried and ironed). Now to kick back for a little (more ps4) while before work (4 hour shifts are a bitch). We aren't all lazy pricks (just delusional) :thumbsup

I resent being labelled unfocused. I can assure you when Im taking pot shots from the cheap seats at the RFC that I am indeed a focused individual ;D

Thank stuff for us. Each to their own I say, but there can be no doubt Gen X keeps the world turning whilst the rest play with the edges of reality
