No change. Same Nab cup jumper 5 years in a row and no change to clash jumper after the West Coast and Port Adelaide games clash jumper disasters this year. It seems they're too busy supplying Footscray and Brisbane with fresh new designs.

Couldn't give a stuff as long as the traditional black jumper with yellow sash is maintained.  :thumbsup

Agree, although I'd like to see our clash jumper just an inverted version of the traditional, yellow with a black sash.

The one we use looks a bit stuck together.

From BF the other day:

"Have just got confirmation that the Richmond clash guernsey is 100% changing for 2015 and that is why the 2014 was on sale for $50"

-----------------------------------------------------------------

There's now only home and pre-season guernseys on the RFC shop under '2015 kit' so perhaps we are getting a new clash jumper(?).

Will be very disappointed if true

Take out whether you like the current one or not, facts are it was chosen by the members, voted on by the members. We had a say

If it gets changed by the club without consultation it is again another example of members getting treated poorly by the club. Hence why the "we exist because of our members" mantra is something I just don't buy into or believe

It's ironic that the club is improving at getting some things right for its members via listening to them. But on other things they just ignore the history of past decisions and by extensions fail to consider the membership

They should just reverse it anyway. Black stripe on yellow background.

Looks the best and is the easiest.

All part of the service  ;D.

To be fair, it was already doing the rounds as a strong rumour. I just emailed to see if I could get confirmation and thankfully Lauren kindly replied  :thumbsup.

It was pretty obvious the club's plan was to trial the yellow & black sash jumper at VFL level and once they got a mostly positive response from supporters, they'd use it as the clash guernsey at AFL level as well.

yellow jumper with black sash is better if the players wear black shorts, white shorts on that jumper looks rubbish.

Will be our "new" clash strip replacing the one the Member's decided on when the league forced us into having one

Just another example of the club not acknowledging how things happened under previous administrations. Will admit it annoys the heck out of me

It says training guernsey not clash, and if the new clash jumper is indeed an inverse of the home then there is no need to ask the members, it is common sense.

'The times'. Defined by abstract cartoony butchering of the brand to help distract the $upporters from lack of real onfield success.

Some oldies here saw 5 flags in 13 years, with the players training in t shirts. I can't help but think they must look at this sort of crap and scratch their head, thinking, what the hell?

I was against the new logo when it came out but looking back at the old one I am glad we made the change, I much prefer this new one IMO.

And that's partially why I don't mind the jersey because it's a training top so who really cares?

works well with the black shorts, if we have to wear white shorts its gonna look shocking.
They'll never wear it with black shorts as it's an away jumper for clashes

Give yourself a turkey slap and don't do it again (the positiveness that is not the turkey slap which I assume happens often)

Like to see this become our primary jumper.

We are Yellow and Black, not Black and Yellow.

Cmon CUB think outside the square. It's a great jumper.

I've always thought we were' yellow and black' in that order, as our famous song says

Would look fantastic with black shorts as our home jumper  :gotigers

The more i think about this, the stronger I feel. The old jumper was good for 10 premierships but let's face it, it hasn't served us well for the past 35 years.

Time for a new jumper to see us through the next 10 flags, and the away strip is a Bobby bottler  :gotigers

The paper version of the Herald-Sun says we'll be wearing the clash strip 5 times this year:

vs Port (Round 8)
vs Freo (Round 10)
vs St K (Round 16)
vs Adel  (Round 19)
vs Ess   (Round 22)

Port Adelaide CEO Keith Thomas commends Richmond for designing suitable clash jumper

Daniel Cherny
The Age
March 10, 2015

Six months after his side were forced to wear their heritage jumper in a home final, Port Adelaide chief executive Keith Thomas has praised Richmond for designing a workable clash strip.

The Tigers unveiled their new clash jumper late last month. It is yellow with a black sash – the reverse of their traditional jersey.

Richmond's lack of a suitable alternative jumper was a point of consternation in the build-up to last year's elimination final after the Power were asked by the AFL to wear their clash guernsey despite finishing higher on the ladder than the Tigers, and earning the right to host the final at Adelaide Oval. After negotiations with the AFL, a compromise was eventually reached whereby Port wore their black and white 'prison bars' heritage jumper, made famous by Port Adelaide Magpies.

Keen to avoid a repeat of the issue, the league requested that the Tigers offer a more viable solution, which in turn led to them creating their new strip.

Thomas said a resolution was long overdue.

"We believe Richmond's decision to further modify their away guernsey is positive for the game. We hope all other cubs will demonstrate the leadership that Richmond is showing on this matter," Thomas said.

The Tigers will are likely to wear their new jumper five times in 2015, starting with a return trip to Adelaide Oval to face the Power. Games against Fremantle, Adelaide, Essendon and St Kilda also loom as likely games for the strip to be worn.

Thomas had previously accused the league of applying different standards for Victorian clubs and non-Victorian clubs, and hoped that Richmond's compliance would lead to other sides working with the league to ensure all clubs had suitable jumpers.

"The situation they faced last year, where their AFL-approved away guernsey was deemed to be inappropriate for use during the finals series, was disruptive and unacceptable for both clubs concerned."

"No club should be forced to don their away strip at their home ground, because the AFL has failed to implement appropriate policy."

Richmond's old clash strip also raised the ire of West Coast after the Eagles were forced to don their alternate jumper when hosting the Tigers in a Friday night game last July.

The Tigers and Power lock horns for the first time since last year's final when they meet in Lavington this Saturday. Both sides are set to wear their pre-season jumpers – with Port's distinctive teal strip and the Tigers' predominantly black number with a Tiger motif not presenting an issue.

We could learn a bit from port. Had their jumpers redesigned a few years ago.

Would suggest we should do the same. The reverse sash design should be the start of it.  :gotigers

Yeah we have been through a lot, but let's be serious we love the boys and the team and the past and we will love the future.
Stop whinging all the time and get behind the Tigers, they are hurting just as much as we are!!!
