No depth, have recruited spuds that were either delisted from their previous clubs or overlooked in 5 drafts. Why wouldn't you recruit a Bernie Vince or a Shaun Higgins or Nick DalSanto, no one can tell me why we wouldn't recruit guys like that, at least they offer us something.
If I watch Morris bust a nut to get to a contest only to fall over or run over the ball I will scream, if I watch Brandon Ellis cough up another possession because someone heaven forbids puts some pressure on him again I will scream.
And yeah Tross got beaten tonight, maybe read too much of his publicity this week and got ahead of himself.
We won't recruit better players because they won't want to come to sh..hole

Gold Coast last year was bad, Collingwood was horrible, who can forget the game against the Dogs, the Dees smashing us in the Hafey game and dreamtime at the G was a nightmare.

Jack Watts is a rabble of a footballer, you could see him growing in confidence with each minute in the 2nd half. So this is what Col Sylvia meant when he said he loved playing against the tiges.

tonight Richmond fc broke its contract with the supporters and members. As for me I wont be going back watching the footy this year. I have better things to do than watch this rabble and waste my time and money.

Taylor Hunt-useless, I can't see what he offers as a footballer.
Batch-defended ok, didn't contribute to moving the ball up the field though.

Drummond- tragic injury aside, this kid was way out of his depth, it was a mistake to play him.
McDonough-struggled
Lloyd-appalling. It had a sniff of last game for Richmond about it, it was that bad.
Gordon-is a perfect sub as he is a one quarter wonder

That was similar to last year during the Pies loss in the third qt.
We had kicked 2 goals for the match and then the image of Dimma came up.

Richmond has been a 'jobs for the mates' club for years and years. Everyone knows that and its one of things that has burnt our footy club. There is very little based on merit at Punt Road IMHO. Its all backslapping and telling each other how good they are whilst earning the big dollars which we the members provide.

Add to the fact that Dimma gets outcoached regularly by first year coaches and blokes he would add to this coaching staff to save him from a mutiny of a more experienced type.
Where was the hard tag on Jones. Why was Hunt recruited? To get granny to renew her membership.
Recruiting, Blair got us to mid table, beyond that too difficult.
FJ can nail a first rounder but beyond that donuts just about.

This is RFC under Gieschen circa 1999.
Nothing has changed since then and nothing it seems will.
A couple of tokenistic finals appearances with no wins to fuel the masses and then apologies at the end of 2016 when membership plummets , then sell us snake oil again and tell us what we want to hear until that new coaches fate is sealed 2-3 years after that and the 6-8 year flag blueprint that began in 2010 just becomes another incomplete RFC flag statistic and broken promise.
What is galling is the Dogs were on a downward slide list wise in 2010 despite them making a prelim in Dimma's first year. Eade got the chop in 2011. McCartney took the hit they slid right down and if it wasn't for expansion teams and Neeld at Melbourne would have won spoons. Yet they stuck to their blueprint and right now both them and Melbourne are ahead of us.
Melbourne have not had a Friday Night game since 2012 and we on a major stage fail again.
RFC continually disappoint their fans since 1983.

Melbourne's list is awful. It's full of recycled stuff too. Cross, Lubumba, Garrett are all very mediocre. They were just better than our recycled crap of Lloyd Gordon Grigg etc.

No. I am saying we don't have the depth to cover them.

How do we know they are not ready? They are not given enough of a chance to make a call on them. Coming in for 1 or 2 games with an axe hanging over their necks if they don't perform admirably is not giving them a chance. We wouldn't have won with Newman and chaplin last night, so why do you feel the need to single out Arnott and McDonough insinuating they were a major reason why we lost?
Completely disagree with that mindset, I blame guys like jack who played a solid game in every way bar the most important stat - KICKING GOALS. I hold players like Hunt, Martin, Grigg, Ellis, Cotch, Morris and Houli responsible - they are all our go to senior core and not one of them was a clear winner.
Most significantly I blame our setup, people can say what they like about not blaming the coach, but last night I saw some putrid attacking plays. Going inside 50 we are too scared to hit the corridor inside 50, IT WAS OPEN TIME AND AGAIN but we'd continue to go to the pocket to "at worst neutralise" the contest and try and lock it in there like we always have, whats worse Melbourne knew this and were leaving a massive hole smack bang in the middle of the 50! my god if one of our fwds wasn't actually went against team orders and looked to the fat side they would've thought all their Christmas's had come at once. Just putrid

im totally shattered. the difference last night was only one team was trying.. The other team, fmd i have know idea what they were doing. Not many from last night can hold their heads up. i hate to say it.... We are a team of pansies.. except titch who went well again.

Still here. Dont normaly comment untill I get a chance to rewatch a game. This time i dont think I will bother. There were many things wrong but here is couple I will add to many that have already been spoken of.
The conditions really showed our lack of skill which is a worry. I thought we had been targeting skills above all, didnt look like it.
Even though the conditions would say going in small was a good idea, it wasnt. When griff went down we had no additional cover in the ruck and no other options to swing forward. Not replacing chaplin with a tall ment we didnt even have a tall back spare to swing foward. The number of times in the last quater we went forward and the was no target was amazing.
It was obvious they were dropping a extra one back, why were we not matching them, I just dont get it. Poor coaching or game plan, who knows.

Clearly and inherently, the glass is not half full when it comes to the club. When this is proven through poor performances many of the glass half full types go missing from the site. Like after the Bulldogs game. And like now.
Many who go missing are the most vocal critics of posters who have a more balanced (and as has now been proven, realistic) view of where the club sits, the so called 'Debbie Downers' to the point of reporting opinions they disagree with under the guise of 'negativity' to the mods.
Now that they have been proven wrong, they should either man up and apologise, or at least show their faces and discuss the issues the club has that they were once blind to. As Fluffy and some others have done which I respect.
You know, that if everyone else was to become as miserable and bitter as yourself, you wouldn't be any happier? These things are not relative.
I'm glad many of you are starting to accept the pain of how bad we are. Don't blame the Debbie Downers because we were right. The positive is that as more and more of us finally starting to realise how stuffed the club is so we can start to move forward and address what needs to be addressed to become what the club should be.

There is more to the site obviously than this issue, but on this issue the reality is there are some who are vocal on each side of the spectrum, and people should take responsibility for what they post.

It has been clear we haven't improved from last year in the pre season - it's not a genius observation. I'Ve posted that many times and you never respond.
I personally couldn't be stuffed after a game last night yet it seems to give you energy.
