When can Tigers get tickets, I can only see Swans ones online?
-
Via the ticketek website
Just checked they are selling GA tickets

Yes otherwise you end up sitting with 5000 Swans supporters right behind their bench.
It was a fun night when I made that rookie mistake. Make matters worse it was the game where Tucky kicked Kirk in the mouth. Although the Swans supporters are a polite bunch. Cant imagine I would have gotten out so easily if it had been at any opposition Melbourne ground.

Must win game.

Anyone know where the Tigers area will be ?

Strongly recommend staying home :lol

Will be a good game
We havn't won there for a long time.
The players like to travel as there is less media hype and pressure is off.

Absolutely winnable if the team plays "the richmond way" ie. the form that got us 4 wins in a row

Tigers' attack a tall order for Swans
Adam Curley
afl.com.au
June 22, 2015 10:30 AM
SYDNEY Swans coach John Longmire believes Richmond's variety in attack will be tough to counter when the Tigers head to the SCG on Friday night.
The visitors' three tall options, Jack Riewoldt, Ty Vickery and Ben Griffiths, are all in good form, while star midfielders Dustin Martin and Brett Deledio have also had a scoreboard impact in recent weeks.
Longmire says the Tigers' range of options will certainly pose problems for his experienced defence.
"I think they've had discussions about playing three talls in the past and they've certainly been able to come in and play those roles," Longmire said on Monday.
"Then you've got Dustin Martin who you throw in that mix, who's a very good contested ball player, and contested mark player as well, so they've got a very good balance through there.
"We've got to make sure our defence continues to be flexible and adaptable, and continue to play a really strong defensive game, and get that balance right between offence and defence."

Match preview: Sydney Swans v Richmond
Adam Curley
afl.com.au
June 23, 2015
SUMMARY
The Swans are coming off the bye, which interrupted their run of six straight wins, but coach John Longmire is hopeful the break won't hurt his side's momentum. The Tigers are coming off a loss to West Coast but had won four in a row before the hiccup and will be keen to get their season back on track. Richmond caused a big upset when they beat the Swans at ANZ Stadium in round 23 last year, but don't have a great recent record at the SCG.
WHERE AND WHEN: SCG, Friday 7.50pm AEST
LAST FIVE TIMES
R23, 2014, Richmond 10.8 (68) d Sydney Swans 9.11 (65) at ANZ Stadium
R14, 2014, Sydney Swans 9.8 (62) d Richmond 7.9 (51) at the MCG
R18, 2013, Sydney Swans 16.14 (110) d Richmond 9.9 (63) at the SCG
R7, 2012, Richmond 13.13 (91) d Sydney Swans 8.14 (62) at the MCG
R21, 2011, Richmond 14.15 (99) d Sydney Swans 7.14 (56) at the MCG
THE SIX POINTS
1. The Tigers midfield was the difference between the sides in round 23 last year; stars Brett Deledio and Trent Cotchin had 29 possessions apiece in the win.
2. The Swans and Tigers clash for the 191st time and Richmond holds a clear advantage, winning 104 games to 85, with one draw. The Tigers have won three of the last five.
3. The teams have played 26 times at the SCG, with the Swans winning 16 to ten, including the last seven. Richmond hasn’t won at the venue since 2004.
4. Sydney has been a strong tackling side in 2015; they're ranked third averaging 72 per game, compared to Richmond, who are ranked 14th averaging 62.1.
5. Richmond has received the most free kicks per game in 2015, averaging 23.6. Captain Trent Cotchin is ranked third and Anthony Miles sixth.
6. The Swans have two players inside the top ten of the AFL's official player ratings in Lance Franklin (8th) and Josh Kennedy (10th), while Richmond only has one inside the top 50, with Shane Edwards at 47.
IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR… Adam Goodes
The dual Brownlow Medallist is in great form despite some recent controversy, and will have many of his 2005 premiership teammates cheering him on at the SCG on Friday night. While Goodes won't be able to join in the celebrations at the club's reunion, another strong performance will no doubt help make it a night to remember for the rest of the Swans' flag-winning heroes.
PREDICTION: Sydney Swans by 28 points.

Sydney have ruled out midfielders Isaac Heeney and Ben McGlynn from Friday night’s match against Richmond at the SCG.
But coach John Longmire yesterday said he expected key-defender Heath Grundy to overcome a jarred knee.

Tigers defender Troy Chaplin has averaged 13.7 points per game against the Swans - his best against any club.
Not:
Adam Goodes has averaged just 8.8 points against Richmond – his worst against any club.
Ivan Maric sits fourth overall at the Tigers but was the club's fourth-lowest scoring player last weekend.

gents,
Watching the telecast, Steve Morris seems to be in gear... Is he playing?
-
Thank god.
-
A premiership reunion in June :huh3.
gents,
Watching the telecast, Steve Morris seems to be in gear... Is he playing?
Probably just warming up as the 23rd man just in case someone inadvertently does themselves an injury at the last sec. in the warm-up.
-
We can't afford to get smashed in the clearances again tonight especially on such a small ground. One burst out of the centre and a long kick and it's a goal. A lot on the shoulders of Ivan tonight against Derickx. No doubt Longmire only brought Derickx in hoping he fires against his old side. Ivan needs to run him around.
ps. Let's hope we've all got the longer stops on tonight so we're not falling over every time we go near the ball like last week :scream.
-
Looks like buddy is just going to keep whacking Rance in the head all night.
-
Poor start seem flat again
No forward defensive pressure
Swans playing slow
-
Great tackle Jack
Fantastic 2nd effort
GOAALLLLLLLL
-
Great tackle Jack. Gets the free 35m out. Goal :gotigers
Rich 6
Syd 1
-
Lmao have a free kick bud bud.
-
What utter crap, umpire. Both were doing it ::).
-
On ya Buddy ;D
Dennis Cometti is happy newy's back nice to know someone is ;D
-
Front and bloody square at the marking contest, Tigers :banghead.
-
Vickery should have let that go out, then Houli should have told Rance to leave the ball.
-
Who was that on Parker? vlaustin?
Whoever it was it was pathetic
Is it me or do we look slow again?
-
Dumb poor percentage all round there Richmond :banghead.
Vickery should have let the ball go out by our point post and then two Tigers up and none down at HF which allowed the ball go over the back :banghead.
6 - 8
-
Sling tackle there bud bud.
-
Flat as tacks again
-
Is it me or do we look slow again?
Slow in the mind as well :banghead.
Shocking kick by Batch.
-
Signs are ominous.
-
Flat as tacks again
I preferred the 'slow avian' pre edit ;D
-
Great marks by Lids and Jack. Misses.
7 - 9
-
Good ole Razor Ray, nice 50 metres
Jack misses - poor miss that
-
Why would you handball to Maric? :banghead
Poor skills on display right now
-
No point hand balling after a mark if we're only going to turn it over. Looks slippery, put it down the line.
-
Newy ;D :snidegrin
Rich 13
Syd 9
-
Should've done better than that Cotch.
14 - 9
-
Dammit cotch, he time to line up the drop punt.
-
Got to love our imaginary small forwards ::).
Goodes holds Grimes' arm but no free. Swans goal :banghead.
-
Umpire feared Goodes labelling him a racist if he called that free.
-
That's better Flossy. Off to Miles who hits up jack in the pocket. Misses.
Rich 15
Syd 15
-
Newy intercepts the kick-in at 55m out. Chips to Titch who misses.
16 - 15
-
Absolutely horrible Edwards.
-
Titch what was that? :facepalm.
Dumb turnover gifts the Swans a goal :banghead.
-
Nailed all of these similar chances vs Freo, these misses will come back to haunt us.
-
Purely on bang for buck, Tippett would be the biggest dud in the entire comp.
-
Titch back to his best. Seen that many times this year. His a grades though according to some
-
Bloody hell, we are our own worst enemy at the moment.
-
Our own stupidity saved by the bell :facepalm.
Richmond 2.4-16
Sydney 3.4-22
Goals: Riewoldt, Newman.
-
Bloody hell, we are our own worst enemy at the moment.
Yep. It would be nice if we could hit a target by foot :help. All 3 Swans' goals have come from our turnovers :banghead.
Jack is one of the few that has come to play although he's missed a couple of tough shots from the boundary.
-
We would be a few goals up if we weren't so sloppy.
-
Geez. Sydney fumbled every possession and we still couldn't get it.
-
Is there a side in the comp. that allows the opposition to recover from their mistakes more than us?
-
Swans make two bad skill errors but we're miles off our direct opponent to get anywhere near it :banghead. Too easy for them so far.
Griffs you need to do more. Taking Richards to the ball isn't helping our other forwards as Richards peels off.
16 - 34
Just look flat as, as WP said.
-
We are poo, won't chase and Jack is the only one standing up!
-
Edwards unlucky not to be paid the mark then.
-
Cotchin is useless and I never thought I would say that.... :banghead
-
All over in these conditions and with the tempo of the game. Gordon and Newman, very poor selections.
-
Put Vickery onto Goodes.
-
4 goals down now
Not looking good
Some blokes look totally disinterested
-
Too many passengers. About 2 blokes have bothered to turn up.
Maric and Jack..
Rest are still in Vic..
-
Great mark and goal, Jack :gotigers
Rich 22
Syd 40
-
Thank goodness for Jack
Catchin & Martin are they playing?
-
Looks like that piece of sh it Franklin has got under players skins
we've had our hands don't forget, missed a few shots
-
Funny, we have the bye and come out the following week flat as tacks, Swans have the bye and come out and make us look second rate (we also do a pretty good job at that too) and we still look flat as tacks, what the hell did we do during the bye?
-
Vlastuin you're allowed to tackle, mate.
-
Bruce just said "Cotchin starting to build too"
What the??.
he's been awful if it isn't dinky kicks they're just turnovers
Our HBFs are just hopeless tonight thus far
-
4 goals down now
Not looking good
Some blokes look totally disinterested
Spot on!
-
Making spuds like Rohan look like superstars.
-
Bloody hell Bruce, put it back in your pants.
-
Rohan's seen off Vlaustin, don't think it will too long before he sees off Bachar
-
Time to trade some of these duds or just sack em
Vickery can FO as well as a dozen others
-
Why would you kick it along the ground and not through the air at goal when there's defenders in the goalsquare? :facepalm.
One side playing direct front and square basic footy in the damp conditions while we're playing cute chip kicks and backward handballs that miss targets :banghead.
-
That umpire decision against Martin was rubbish. They drop the ball & no call. We are so soft tonight. We will get pumped
-
Just one tackle laid this quarter in 15 mins ::).
Tackles: 8 - 27 :facepalm.
-
Just like last week, they've got numbers every where.
-
Put Vickery in the goal square & leave him there all night. Conditions don't suit him
-
8 tackles
Well done dimwit and your bunch of fgts
-
The only one working hard is Jack.
Skill-less, brain-less, lazy rabble tonight :banghead.
-
why no numbers on the umpires this week
-
This is embarrassing.
-
8 tackles
Well done dimwit and your bunch of fgts
Happy for you to bag the coach but bag him for what he can control
Not the coach's fault that. The players are refusing to chase and tackle.
That's player effort and let's be honest they are insipid right now
-
Buddy reported and reckon he is in strife
Crude
-
l say this now Hunt is a pee weak footballer & has no idea
-
Oh well, at least buddy will get a couple.
-
Just one tackle laid this quarter in 15 mins ::).
Tackles: 8 - 27 :facepalm.
Yep - six years under Hardwick and still not tackling...or shepherding...... or running two ways.....the canary is dead....
-
Enjoy your 2-3 week enforced holiday, Buddy.
-
Cotchin is terrible tonight
He seems totally disinterested right now. And because of it means we have no leadership from him
-
Fumbling and falling over at the slightest contact. Just plain soft tonight ::).
-
Outside of Rance what are the rest of our backline doing exactly? Outside of basically nothing
-
Goodes was going to throw the ball like a spear.
-
May Gordon never get another game again. Menadue should have stayed in the side
-
I've never seen the swans so agtagonistic, ever.
they normally go about their business, tonight they've gone out of their way to start biffos.
Clearly it's been a directive from the coach
-
Brandon Ellis out there tonight
-
Protected by the UMPIRES absolutely shocking
-
Half-time
Richmond 2.4 3.5-23
Sydney 3.4 8.7-55
Goals: Riewoldt 2, Newman.
Aside from Jack & Rance - Soft, dumb and pathetic! >:(
-
I've never seen the swans so agtagonistic, ever.
they normally go about their business, tonight they've gone out of their way to start biffos.
Clearly it's been a directive from the coach
What about Rampe? Gets the free so goes for Griffos throat then looks straight to the ump like a massive pussy when Grimes joined in.
Buddy the massive girl has gone quiet since getting reported.
-
Riewoldt & Vlastuin the only two who can hold their heads up in that half. More proof we're nowhere near contention and our list still has massive holes.
-
13 tackles in a half of football thats shocking :banghead
-
Brandon Ellis out there tonight
Who?
I've never seen the swans so agtagonistic, ever.
they normally go about their business, tonight they've gone out of their way to start biffos.
Clearly it's been a directive from the coach
Agree and we don't seem willing or able to handle it
It is simply embarrassing
This on the way to be a blowout
Season is on the line now
Can't see us winning from here but we need to show something, anything in the 2nd half.
Maybe I can take as a positive that perhaps there are few blokes we won't see again?
-
Could be the floggng we need to remove a few heads from their arses.
-
8 tackles
Well done dimwit and your bunch of fgts
Happy for you to bag the coach but bag him for what he can control
Not the coach's fault that. The players are refusing to chase and tackle.
That's player effort and let's be honest they are insipid right now
Soft and rubbish comment WP. The whole side has been off the last 2 weeks. Can't come out and put in a brilliant effort vs Freo and then come out asleep next 2 weeks and not ask questions.
All comes back to preparation. Which is all Hardwick.
-
I want my club to be aggro.to be mean,to be hard,to be in your face.....just once
-
We still need a massive culture change. Won't happen under Hardwick. He's had five and a half years already ffs....
-
I've never seen the swans so antagonistic, ever.
they normally go about their business, tonight they've gone out of their way to start biffos.
Clearly it's been a directive from the coach
The Swans have actually done this a few times this year. Reckon they've decided this year to copy the "unsociable Hawks" style after their GF flogging last year.
-
Clearly the conditions are playing a huge part in why we are looking sluggish & slow. Its very hard to play a side who trains in these conditions & is a very fast flowing side who plays on at every chance. Why we are playing the style of game of playing a few metres off them is simply slaughtering yourself using too much energy. It's showing. Tigers need to man up & someone needs to take out Tippert in the legs :snidegrin
-
This is absolutely disgraceful.
Refusing to tackle. Second to the ball. So called stars going missing.
-
Cotchin putrid!
Hunt can FO
Houli is as soft as butter
Miles is a one trick pony, poo disposal.
Gordon not even close to AFL standard
Sub someone out and bring Griff on.
No structure up forward, in fact no one up forward.... again.
Slipping over and fumbling due to the pressure from the Swans.
And if you don't think the coach should take some responsibility for his side not tackling than you are a bigger DH the DH.
-
8 tackles
Well done dimwit and your bunch of fgts
Happy for you to bag the coach but bag him for what he can control

All comes back to preparation. Which is all Hardwick.
So the captain and a vice captain refusing to lay tackles out on the fileld is Hardwick's fault. You think he tells them not to tackle? Please give me a break
At some point players need to be held accountable for their pathetic efforts. Much easier to pot the coach isn't it?
I am as peeved as anyone, reckon the biggest mistake the coach made this week was at the selection table.
But Once those players hit the ground they are responsible for ensuring they at least bother to apply the fundamentals of the game. Tonight the majority of our players are clearly not prepared to do that
-
Hunt stops when he gets the ball. Footsteps when he is going for it.
And goodes is a poo guy carrying on over superficial rubbish precious. The world owes him
-
Shawshank Redemption is on Fox.
Thank stuff for that.
-
Not the full reason but My theory is we struggle in damp/wet conditions. We still try to play our dry weather high possession footy gameplan which doesn't work when it's slippery. Didn't work last week and not tonight either. At the SCG especially when it's slippery, you need to play long and direct through the corridor deep to your tall forwards with your crumbers and ground level players front and square at the fall of the ball. It's old school, predictable and the K.I.S.S. principle but it's better than the absolute crap we've dished up in our last 6 quarter.
-
Shawshank Redemption is on Fox.
Thank stuff for that.
More chance of an escape I see....
-
Shawshank Redemption is on Fox.
Thank stuff for that.
It's been the Shaw-we'll-shank-that-kick-no-redemption so Ch 7 so far :help.
-
Newman makes me ill, so poor :thumbsdown
-
8 tackles
Well done dimwit and your bunch of fgts
Happy for you to bag the coach but bag him for what he can control
Not the coach's fault that. The players are refusing to chase and tackle.
That's player effort and let's be honest they are insipid right now
wake up WP who selects the fgts week in week out. If they know they are getting a game regardless of form there's no incentive to get better
Newman Grigg Hunt Vickery, poo throw a blanket on 15 of em
He breeds and recruits unaccountable timid footballers and after nearly 6 years not much has changed
-
@WP
The captain or vice captain tackle count is 1 of many reasons why we look awful. Doubt if they had 3 times as many tackles it'd be any different.
The whole sides effort is pathetic. They have to be accountable for that but so does Hardwick. It's lazy coaching and stinks of arrogant preperation. Get them ready and focused, we should be confident and playing with swagger. Yet we are lazy, lacking effort and getting bullied.
Not good enough by the players all round but for goodness sake Damien how can u let a team that beat Freo 2 games ago come out and play 6 lazy qtrs. That's just a disgrace.
-
Half-time
Richmond 2.4 3.5-23
Sydney 3.4 8.7-55
Goals: Riewoldt 2, Newman.

Agree, but Vlastuin been ok

Kid: umm .....
Hamish: Near Albury?
Kid: Nah, near Woolworths and the shops.
:lol
-
WTF you can just jump on McIntash & ride him no free
-
Screw this game. Going to dive into the movie backlog. Lucy it is.
-
13 tackles in a half (to 38) :help.
12 Tigers without a single tackle in a highly contested game :help.
Only 3 Tigers with more than one tackle. Jack, Newy & Houli with 2.
Edwards in the rooms being tested for concussion.
-
Enjoy your enforced holiday too, Tippett. Cheap high shot >:(.
-
We are poo
-
:banghead :banghead :banghead Fly the flag You Pigs!!!! :banghead

I agree they all should be held accountable but it seems someone people will only ever blame the coach
I blame the coach tonight for a lot especially the selections but blokes refusing to tackle, chase, run hard both ways isn't just the coach it is the players and they deserve to cop it. Rather than having people taking the easy way out and simply pot the coach
-
Finally some leadership
Goal Cotch
-
Titch okay. McIntosh back with the green vest on.
Cotch on the ground while being tackled gets one through :gotigers
Rich 30
Syd 56
-
When Cotch does something good is that good leadership! :wallywink
-
I'd leave Vickery in the ruck
What is going on
Appears Tyrone's Dad has stuffed up an interchange
-
How stupid can you get. Ty takes a mark 25m out and we cop a interchange free which ends up a 150m penalty to the Swans. Moronic rule :banghead.
-
Look at me, I'm the umpire and I'll allow the Swans to get the numbers back ::).
-
When Cotch does something good is that good leadership! :wallywink
Directed at me? If it is the answer is yes
He's been very poor tonight
Or Are you saying Cotch has been good tonight?
-
Stuff you ump. Take that one off us. Lids goal :gotigers
Rich 36
Syd 56
-
Is it my imagination or is sydney a cheating dirty bunch of bastards
-
Much better effort and intent. Questions have to be asked why wasn't this our style from the word go.
-
We got punished because Titch came back on before the 20 mins for concussion was up. Seriously!

I don't like blaming coaches either. DH had a fantastic month in coaches box but last 2 weeks have been shocking.
-
Serious question is Cotch perhaps injured?
Not excusing his poor form tonight but he seems to a permanent forward fixture this evening
Much better effort and intent. Questions have to be asked why wasn't this our style from the word go.
Because the players didn't come to play ;D
-
Sydney turnover. Dusty finds TV on a 60 degree angle 40m out. Goal :gotigers
Rich 42
Syd 56
-
Why didn't Jack get a free then?
Arm over the shoulder is a free isn't it?
Shocking miss by Cotchin. That's all :shh :whistle
-
Ge that is a big miss.. Catch has really lifted tho
-
LOL TV waiting half an hour for someone to handball to.
Finally to Miles who finds Cotch. Misses.
43 - 56
-
Worst rule in the game
-
Below the knee free (stupid rule BTW)
Ellis goals
-
Poor decision making Gordon.
We get the free anyway to Ellis for contact below the knees. Goal :gotigers

Ge there have been a lot of frees.
Greag goal by Brandon. Has finally rocked up! How are we 7 points down lol
-
Poor decision making Gordon.
We get the free anyway to Ellis for contact below the knees. Goal :gotigers
Rich 49
Syd 56
Get him off. Can't play.
-
The ump actually held up Sydney then but we still couldn't get numbers back into the back 50 :banghead.
-
We get back within 7 points and then we give away a really soft goal :banghead
Actually make that 2 goals
Could make a case for a free to Rance, Buddy had him by the arm
-
And just like that the pressure is released :banghead. Where's our other defenders aside from Rance?
-
Does Gordon still think he is playing for the Swans?
The problem when we try to throw our weight around is we're not smart enough to not give frees and stupid 50m penalties away.
-
Floss finds Gordon 40m out. Wow he did something right. Goal :gotigers
Rich 55
Syd 68
-
Gordon makes up for his brain fade
Gee this club knows how to mess with my head :help
-
Grigg kick throyugh the ball; not chip it at goal :scream.
56 - 68
-
Nice goal Gorden. Been awful but credit where it's due. Needed that
Been some. Strange frees
-
Both Ty & Griff have been better in this qtr.
JACK GOAL
-
Lids finds Jack up high over Gordon and two Swans. Great goal :gotigers

Titch point.
We're in front ;D.
69 - 68
-
Not sure who it was but Gordon or Titch could be in trouble with the MRP.
-
Cotchin been amazing.
Martin and Ellis lifted Ty been great too
We've all rocked up!!!
-
Rance great play. Backs himself and finds TV. Just fades.
Rich 70
Syd 68
-
Ty has been excellent this qtr
Well done
Lambert is just a fraction off the pace of the game. Can tell he's missed a fair whack of footy
Not sure who it was but Gordon or Titch could be in trouble with the MRP.
Gordon = gone I reckon
-
What's with the stupid short chips :banghead
-
OMG :clapping :clapping :gotigers
-
The captain has led the way.
Well done Cotch. :thumbsup :gotigers
-
Gordon will get 1 week
-
What's with the stupid short chips :banghead
Yep Lids should have nailed that rather than trying to pass it
Have to say that was one of the best qtr of footy I've seen Cotchin play
Credit where it's due - amazing quarter by the captain. Makes up for the extremely poor first 2 qtrs
And just out of curiosity this 3rd qtr comeback is it due to the coach or the players or perhaps both :rollin
-
3/4 time
Richmond 2.4 3.5 10.10-70
Sydney 3.4 8.7 10.8-68
Goals: Riewoldt 4, Vickery, Newman, Gordon, B.Ellis, Cotchin, Deledio.
-
Should be 2 goals up
-
Shows what we are capable of when we play together and everyone is focused on 'on the job'.
Been too long now we're we have been asleep in long periods of games. Need to fix this to go next level.
-
Brett Deledio and Trent Cotchin have 4 and 5 score involvements each and 19 disposals combined, they have triggered Richmond's comeback with 5 goals from turnovers in this quarter.
Richmond have the last 5 inside 50's, they are also winning the contested possession count 42 to 25 and have 15 possession gains in their defensive half.
In the forward half, Richmond's disposal efficiency is 70 per cent and they have 7 marks inside 50, which resulted in 2 goals. Whilst Sydney's efficiency is just 33 per cent and they have just 1 mark.

Cotchin, Martin, Vickery(!), Riewoldt Deledio & Vlastuin leading the way back.... Edwards, Ellis & Houli came back to life....
-
Chaplin and Grigg are the weakest links
Blind freddy can see it
-
Wowee!
Look what happens when you man up in our forward line and make their backman accountable!
Well done Dimma. At last!
-
The question now is can we put the Swans away, they would be receiving the spray of all sprays from Longmire, we could lose this game in the first 10 minutes of the quarter. Need to hold them out and really need the first goal, we should finish stronger given the bye seems to take the edge off teams for some reason.

This duel between Dusty and Hannebery has been fascinating

Thanks Gary Rohan beautiful miss
Poor decision by Batch FIRST OPTION
-
Stupid Batch.
-
We've switched off again in the middle. No one forward to kick to.
-
Chaplin multiple weak uninspiring efforts
-
Who is meant to be on McVeigh
-
We need a steadier pronto

Grigg deadset is like a female
-
Rance is a monster

What garbage calls about it not being 15.

Trying to save the game instead of winning it :banghead

That's better than Shawshank Redemption!
Our most important intense quite some time.
-
What an amazing effort. Well done to the coaching staff at half time. We done to our leadership group. Awful first half but an amazingly mature and spirited 2nd half.

Started checking up here for updates before heading in the other room to watch on Foxtel. Saw the large number of banging head GIFs so decided it wasnt worth watching. Only got worse to half time so did a few odd jobs around the place and wrote the game off as a loss. Then i started noting the clapping GIFs and lots of exclamation marks and noticed we were making a comeback. Of course my superstitious nature meant i couldnt leave the seat or switch on the TV. Now we have won i am heading off to watch a stress free replay :gotigers

Season defining win.
Makes last week all the more worse.
Ty fantastic.
Jack, Rance, Miles, Cotch just huge.
Need to build on this and cement a finals spot in the next month.
Sensational. :thumbsup
-
I reckon this is the making of us, we've shown from last seasons backend that we're maturing as a group, then to turn it around after our poor start to this season to win on the road against freo and syd shows we've arrived as a legit football side when we play hard. Perfect way to launch into a 3rd successive finals campaign, this time to do some damage
-
Good win I wrote em off but if we lose next week against GWS what good are these wins
The gap is too great for me and nothing to get excited about until it's bridged.
-

I remain unconvinced, he rucked against a bloke we traded and look better for it but good on him. He has taken his chances.

True but his around the ground work was super impressive which gave him confidence when he went back to the forward line.
I've been one of his harshest critics but tonight he showed a glimpse of what could be if he's prepared to keep working hard
-
Reckon this sums up the game perfectly
From Twitter
@White_Adam: So bad and then so good. All rolled into two hours. That's classic Richmond. AFLSwansTigers

Yes you have and deservedly so but one things the Tigers have done from the coach down this year is silence a few critics. Well quieten them down at least.

His actual ruck work still has a long way to go but it's what he did around the ground, through the middle and in traffic that was so impressive - was effectively an extra quality mid which is what you'd ideally want from a modern ruckman outside hit outs and kicking the odd goal. Its the kind of stuff Stynes used to do at his best.

That aspect of his game - has been quite good for many seasons
IMHO
-
Yes I've long been aware of it Judge, but he's only ever shown glimpses of it and certainly never enough to impact matches like he did tonight.
-
Rewoldt is a very gifted footballer kicking well on both sides & sometimes l wonder that left foot constantly get the score on the board :gotigers
-
Credit where credits due, but Vickery was brilliant in the second half. We need more of this from him.
-
Might have turned the corner Ty
-
Rock solid from miles - never gave up
Super impressed with our ability to get the momentum back after halftime.
The old Richmond would have capitulated and lost by 40+
In all honesty the best thing to come of this is the potential free agents who we could acquire.
Well done tiges
-
This is a truly great win. Richmond is Improving. We need to keep on improving our list. GCS have stuffed up their recruiting, GWS will be alright but if we can bring in some big name talent that performs - over the next 2 trade period I can see the drought breaking in terms of silverware coming to Punt Road on the last day in September in the next 2 or 3 years.
-
TV was absolutely unstoppable , he was fair dinkum 10ft tall, marking everything . I'd love to see more of that :clapping

The footy commentators hate the Tigers. There commentry was again pathetic.
Commetti said a goal scored by the captain when refering to Newman goal in the 1st :lol

commetti said "Deledio, a player that has generally struggled to ever put it all together, a couple of best and fairests but that's about all"
say what? up there with the dumbest stuffing statement Ive ever heard

Loved the reliance of that win.
Great belief which IS a credit to the coach.
That last half was irresistible - now for the hard gsmes in the next 3 weeks ;D

Going to watch replay. ;D

without doubt we have now shown we can match it with the best......Why though do I feel somewhat worried about the next 2 weeks

Will Newman play next week?
Only saw the last qtr.

Fantastic win Tigers! Jekyll & Hyde performance for sure, but I really do like it when we turn into Mr Hyde & rip right into them! :thumbsup
A couple of facts - Jack is an absolute star! Ty is on the right path at last. Vlaus is a star! Rance is worth whatever he wants! Cotch can have a bad half & still be a great player & an inspiring captain!
Never switch over to the movie channel at half time ... ever! :gotigers ;D

Makes last week's loss all the more stuffing annoying....

Short answer would be yes just compared to what else is available and running around in our VFL team.

Wow, what a night, I'm sitting at Sydney airport trying to remember it all !!
First had beers at the pre game @Paddo RSL, beers obviously loosened my wallet & subsequently spent $2500 on the auction "Captains piece" signed by all living captains
Then won a signed jumper also at the pre game
Sat in front of a couple of Sydney flogs in the ORielly & had much joy flipping them the bird as I walked down the stairs, unfortunately they confronted me outside the ground , had to talk my way out of 2 fights & punch my way out of another !!
Sang the song loud & proud all the way back to hotel & now don't have a voice !
See you at PRO at noon for the ressies
Go Tigers

A pretty quiet night then taz.

He has played a couple of good games of late. Why do we have to compare the two? They both offer something different. We should be encouraging them to create a chemistry between the two of them. We should not be creating a contest between the two but rather a synergy.

Agree Cotchin's second half was fantastic. Vickery has not gone past Griffiths. They are both playing well and most importantly they are not getting in the way of each other and are playing team oriented football.

Griff hasn't played well since before he copped that HUGE hit against North. Talk about turning a blind eye. Still yet to be in the best players in a win loose or draw.
Trade for Carlisle.
We have McBean, McKenzie and even Elton coming through that can do what Gift is doing.
With Rance and Carlisle down back teams wouldn't be able to score. :whistle
But seriously if we ever had a chance to trade in someone good for someone that hasn't shown much it's this trade period. There's a difference between trading for someone that has proven he can play well consistently at AFL level to someone who maybe has the potential.. But after 6 years it's starting to get worrying surely!
Especially when we potentially have other to cover him.
We need to be bold if we are to take the next level!!
IMO Biff will never be a consistent AFL player.

I am a Griffiths fan.
Vickery's 3rd quarter was his best football for 2 years.
Vickery needs to play in the ruck and up the ground a bit more!
Griffiths has been quiet.
But Hardwick likes the flexibility with Griffiths, Vickery, Maric and Riewoldt.
I and 70,000 just want to see Griffiths taking marks and kicking the football 70 metres everytime he has it.
Griffiths needs to lift his game!

Yeah but going into this season when they changed the system of how things were assessed and the penalties all previous records we wiped out and every player started with "no bad record"
That's what saved him
But really he should have got at least 2-3
It's a joke

It's always these sorts of things that the AFL have discretion on that sees Sydney fall on their feet.
I wonder why. Stuffing joke >:(

ALEX RANCE (Richmond) - The one man who consistently seems to have Lance Franklin's measure, Rance again did his job on Friday night, containing the star Swan to two goals and three marks, and only one possession in the second half. Rance had 22 possessions and nine rebound 50s.
BRETT DELEDIO (Richmond) - The vice-captain kicked a crucial goal in the third quarter that cut the margin to 20 points and breathed life into the team's fightback. A star pushing into attack, he finished with 10 inside 50s.
JACK RIEWOLDT (Richmond) - Named at full forward, Riewoldt did his best work deep against the Swans despite recently moving into a role up the ground. He took six of his nine marks inside 50 and booted six goals. Played with authority and leadership.
TRENT COTCHIN (Richmond)- As he has done a couple of times this season, Cotchin stamped himself on the game after half-time to rip back the ascendency and will the ball forward. He finished with 27 possessions (14 contested) and, five inside 50s and 1.2.
ANTHONY MILES (Richmond) - Another Tiger who lifted the midfield against the Swans, Miles was at home in the contested situations with 29 possessions (12 contested) and six clearances. He laid a team-high seven tackles.
