So you're on the Burton train I suppose…. :shh

Geez, if we took Parsons with both Hardwick & Glass-McCasker still on the board ....(http://static.diary.ru/picture/1396.gif)
...and Shane Yarran? Rookie pick - Yes. ND pick - No.

15. Daniel RIOLI
North Ballarat Rebels | 16/4/97 | Ht: 180 | Wt: 69
“He’s been inconsistent with his form – he’s just got to learn how to play a more consistent game, but the development of Daniel over the last year has been really good. From a boy that didn’t play for St Patrick’s College last year in the first 18, just playing local football at East Point Football Club, to really work when he got his opportunity, to come in and work really hard and make himself an elite runner, elite speed. He’s really worked hard on his game and you’ll see the rewards from doing that. At the later part of the year he has his name on the map a bit more and I expect him to go a lot higher than we probably thought two months ago.“ – North Ballarat Rebels’ talent manager Phil Partington
If not him, who else? Callum Ah Chee, Ryan Burton.
50. James PARSONS
Eastern Ranges | 12/4/97 | Ht: 189 | Wt: 77
“I reckon Parso’s the kid who might get through to 40 or 50 in the draft, and then in five years time when they go back through the draft history and they go, “Well, how the hell did he get to that?“ He does some stuff at some times that you go, “Wow!“ His consistency and competitiveness have been an issue for him. He’ll play a half, but he won’t play a full game. He’ll play a quarter, but he won’t play the next quarter – so that’s the biggest issue with him. I see him as a bit of an Isaac Smith wing-type, but also we played him off half back the last six or seven weeks of the year. His speed and ability to get through traffic, and that effortless shimmy and away we go, it’s a real trait of his.“ – Eastern Ranges’ talent manager Len Villani
If not him, who else? Ben Crocker.
73. Shane YARRAN
Subiaco | 2/6/89 | Ht: 186 | Wt: 79
“Shane’s a mature aged-player (26) who has strung together a couple of good years for us. Nominated for the draft last year but was over-looked but is trying again. Certainly has some AFL traits and has turned his life around after have some troubles as a youngster. Would make a great story if he was taken.“ – Subiaco football manager Luke Sanders
If not him, who else? Bailey Williams.

For once I agree with claw. I don't mind the risk on Burton. Can imagine the complaints here though if he is chosen and doesn't come up for some reason.

I would think it doesn't matter who we draft, there is going to be complaints
My view is I don't care who we take as I will back any newbie that we get, will support them and give them time to develop. They deserve that
