Needs to impact and impose himself on the game more. 4th year, bring out 'The General' in him.

The only guy in the backline that when he has the ball, you know it's in safe hands.

Will be become the premier quarterback in the league.

Yet the game has changed since the 50s

Not sure how the evolution of the game is relevant to people adopting Americanisms from an entirely different sport - but hey, I must be a Neo-Nazi still living in the 1950's because I don't like Seppo terminology being used in our game.

It is quite amusing though, how someone so outspoken against American imperialism, prefers to speak and spell like a Yank.  :shh

Hey man, I don't speak yank.  You schmuck.

I prefer English terminology yet folks have a cry if one uses terms like playmarker. Also

Hopefully jack plays well as the false nine

he has definitely improved in 2015. Statistic8ally his possession count seems the same. but his quality of disposal was very good in 2015

I have said this before but to reiterate, to put things into perspective. Luke Hodge being groomed as a backline generak his stats are like

Year   #1    avg disposals 15.5
Year #2    avg disposals 12.9
Year #3    avg disposals 15.7
Year #4    avg disposals 27.7

I think now that he has improved his read of the play and he probably trusts himself more with ball in hand he will get first use of the ball more often in 2016. Half back general is a hard gig but I believe in Floss and I feel he will be awesome this year with Yarran as a release player in the back line this year

Hoping to see more time in the midfield with Yarran taking his place across half-back.

More kicks, more possessions in general, more impact on the game.  I think he is ready to become a really good player.

You would be kidding yourself if you have any worries about this kid. He has done everything right since walking in the door at Tigerland.
I'm looking forward to seeing him further up the ground to show how attacking he can be.

Pretty ordinary TBH. Especially for a first rounder.

I think TDY is pointing out the area where he wants him to improve, not what he has achieved.

Hasn't materially improved since year 1 but remains a very good player. May become our next whipping boy if he doesn't meet some posters unrealistic expectations.

Thought his disposal last night was horrible and every time he had the ball I was cringing as to where the ball would end up. Not sure what is wrong with him because he always seemed confident when in possession and now its as if he has no confidence hitting a target by foot. Seems to be in Cotch mode with dinky kicks and sideways pokes just missing targets with alarming regularity.

Looked out of touch like many of his teammates. It's as if they all had the flu!

Would give him a few more chances rather than hang him on one game.

Was poor but not worried about him at all yet.......hope he gets back to the middle eventually though....he can still go back (or indeed even forward) when needed...
