So a kid who's played well for the last few weeks at VFL level agoan gets overlooked = Butler

And a kid who hasnt been great the last few weeks not only gets promoted but an AFL game = Moore C

= perplexing  :huh3

do you watch any VFL WP, if you did you wouldn't say that, Butler has NO hope of making it

I do and I think he will make it at AFL level

But let's be honest, we will nver know if he isn't given a chance. He is out of contract at the end of the season, should be given a chance ahaed of a rookie.

Who the past few weeks has been average at best

Happy with the inclusions even if Lambert's the poster boy fot VFL star/AFL hacks Moore's seems to be a dart board job ......good to see Vickery given the arse ....not surprised Ben "in n' out" Lennon is still Halfstep's favourite scapegoat...

What utter bollocks - Butler's a far more talented player than Drummond at the very least...

Agree. Furthermore drop Lennon after one game where other players who have been consistently poor survive. Butler deserved a call up. Team selection all year has been poor.

Rubbish. He has been great for 4 weeks in a row. Better than C Moore in that time. I like C Moore but he has not performed recently.

Well he had a knee problem last year......
He's just hit his strides in the last 4 or so weeks. Watched him in the practice match against Geelong at the start of the year. Looked very good then too.

Broad is probably the unlucky one IMO.
Shouldn't have been dropped when he was but hasn't been given a go since. Especially with Hunt and Houli in our backline.
Look to the future Dimma you complete FH.

This team has "let's get the players tried to 39 so we can say we tried a whole heap of players" as the reason when we all know the side was losing when it was settled earlier in the year when we were losing

We're going to have to take another two steps backwards but we will at least play in one final next year.

So the question is, will Elton go forward or back? Finally moved back forward recently to good effect. My bets he's played in the backline

Any chance he could do all the rucking?

Forward and will help out in the ruck.

Needed to go back to learn to defend then forward to re-learn how to attack and now back in the AFL to show he can defend... book mark it :thumbsup. Jokes aside, I feel that forward/ruck is the most realistic and what we need.

Feel for the lad though, how many years at the club and only 2 games? Gets his first game in the forward line manned by the Rut Truck and subsequently dropped. Then gets thrown in defense in the VFL. Finally comes back in years later to play on Cloke (when he still had a little bit of form left) and subsequently dropped straight away. A year and a bit later and he's finally thrown back forward in the VFL for a couple of weeks and is now getting an AFL game. Luckily it's against an average team like St Kilda with a couple of talls out but gee the pressure to perform will be huge. Enjoy it while you can, it might be a while before he plays again.

I think it was last year i was reading he was doing alot more rucking during games in the 2nds and was actually going ok for a while. But at (from memory) 197cm not sure hes a good frontline ruck option.
