Thanks for the insight, TT, but would they then name him as an emergency?

It's very smart, they picked Hunt to run with Betts.

I agree we will win. That's why I just said it makes it hard, why do this to ourselves.

Just sack these clowns already. I seriously dgaf if we win or lose now. One saving grace is that I didn't waste even 1 game living in the false hope that change was coming. I'll follow the VFL and postpone membership for yet another year.

I didn't want Hunt or Houli playing either but there is still plenty to like about that team.

Think some of you are overreacting.

Just more of the same.

We have a really healthy list and yet Dimma picks 2 blokes in Houli and Griff that haven't played much lately let alone are as soft as poo.

The backline looks better with McIntosh in it. He will be able to help clean up Hunt and B Ellis' mistakes.

We have three players with genuine pace and pressure ability in the forward line.

We have a young, hungry ruckman who tackles and takes marks around the ground.

We have another genuine gun inside/outside midfielder to help Dusty and Cotch.

I don't think it's "more of the same" because I don't remember seeing any of that last year.

Proof will be in the pudding though, of course.

Would have preferred if Hunt and Houli had not been included in the team. Decision to include them suggests a reluctance to support wide scale change.

Let's try and be objective for a minute.
We don't look like a top 8 side, possibly somewhere around 11-14.
There are 5 guys underlined who have been on the list long enough to assume have peaked. Not likely to get any better.
We have Chol, we have Markov, we have Cellis, Menedue, Miles, even Lennon who might jump out of ground and do something we don't expect.
What we've selected, we know what we will get.
That will get us 13th again. And a nice, safe win until r2.
It's called biding time, which has a sense of inevitability about it.

Vlastuin has done sweet eff all. Bordering on damaged goods like the other 6.

Why would you put games into youngsters one season and then basically ignore them the next.
It feels almost like they went down a path and then deliberately changed direction in favour of ordinary go nowhere mature players because they think right at the moment they will give a little more.

What they fail to see is all they are doing is exacerbating the problems long term.

Could it be that the tanking 'final solution' is in full swing already? If Dusty goes we will have 3 first rounders next year........masterminds  :clapping
