DANNY Frawley says Damien Hardwick needs only a deep finals run to be handed a contract extension, 12 months after avoiding the sack as coach.

Frawley once had chicken poo dumped on his doorstep but said if the Tigers could break a 37-year drought Hardwick would receive a more permanent tribute.

“If he wins a flag, there is the statue of Jack Dyer at Punt Rd and there will be a guy next to him with pretty big calf muscles,’’ he said.

“Damien Hardwick’s statue would be right next to Jack’s if they can win one in the not-too-distant future.”

Wonder how many that want a 5yr extension would be calling for his sacking if we had a poo year a couple of years from now?

5 is too long and unnecessary... nobody is pinching him
