Nothing for myself except for the magazine. Couldn’t believe they got it out so quick.

I felt bad for my son and mate who missed out in the ballot so I bought some tees for them. I will probably buy some stuff online.

That's actually wrong Jack

It was cheaper than that plus you get 10% off if you're a member, which I'm
not sure they would offer you that at the show.

Plus I assumie less profit would go to the club as well.

HUN shop = $30

RFC yesterday at the family day = $50 less discount =  $45

I went in straight after the game to get something for my 6 year old daughter and thank god they had a teddy bear with 2017 Premiers on it.

Was going to buy a stubby holder until I noticed it still had Lids' picture on it.

Had to fly home the next day, so will buy online.

But speaking of merchandise, I have suggested to the club a couple of times that maybe they should look at getting a Maurice Rioli DVD produced. I reckon it would be a best seller. Maybe include footage of his days at South Freo. Hope they or someone else might do that one of these days.

CUB releases limited edition Tigers cans

theshout.com.au
04 October, 2017
by Djackson

CUB has launched a limited edition Carlton Draught or ‘Richmond Draught’ Premiers can to celebrate the Tigers’ historic grand final win.

The limited edition cans are currently on their way out of the warehouse and will hit shelves in selected stores around Victoria from today.

CUB Senior Marketing Manager, Sian Sullivan, said: “With a historic victory like we saw on Saturday we thought we should definitely commemorate the occasion and give Tigers supporters something to remind them of the proud moment.

“Our team has worked incredibly hard to get the designs done and the cans coming off the line at our brewery and into the hands of fans as fast as possible.

“We originally looked at producing 10,000 limited edition cans but we soon realised we’d underestimated the Tiger army, so we’ve decided to increase that number to 30,000,” Sullivan said.

Richmond star Alex Rance was on hand at the CUB Abbottsford brewery to watch the first cases of Richmond Draught being canned and to add his autograph to a few.

“Just when we thought it couldn’t get any sweeter to toast the Tiger Premiership, along comes Richmond Draught to keep the celebrations flowing,” said Rance.

“Knowing how much Tigers fans love to celebrate, slabs of Richmond Draught won’t last long.”

The limited edition cans are printed in Richmond colours of yellow and black, and feature the final score for their 2017 Grand Final win and Norm Smith Medallist.

eBay users sell Grand Final turf, Dustin Martin’s rolled cigarette

Herald Sun
October 10, 2017

A SINGLE cigarette supposedly rolled by Dustin Martin is for sale for more than a deck of smokes, while other bizarre MCG Grand Final-related pieces are being flogged online.

A Champion Ruby cigarette claimed to be rolled by Brownlow medallist Dustin Martin after the Grand Final can be bought for $50 on eBay with a $17.55 postage fee.

“In mint condition. Genuine buyers only,” the cheeky ad reads.

Would you buy a cigarette allegedly rolled by Dustin Martin? Image: eBay

There is still more than 24 hours left on the listing, which unsurprisingly, can’t be returned.

A piece of MCG Grand Final turf is also for sale on eBay to avid footy fans for just a lobster.

In the bizarre and often wacky world of eBay, one long-time user from Dandenong has put a piece of the allegedly used turf for sale on the website with bids beginning from $20.17.

While the turf is yet to attract any bids, there’s another five days left for punters to grab this patch of grass that was possibly even trodden on by Norm Smith medallist Dustin Martin and Richmond’s premiership heroes.

But it’s sheer speculation.

The post says it is “authentic grand final day turf”, but it’s a matter of taking the seller’s word.

A MCC spokesman said it could not be verified as MCG turf and did “not look like our product”.

“Anyone using public auction sites should be very wary of buying items that have not been authenticated,” he said.

A spokesman for HG Sports Turf, which supplies the pitch, was unable to verify if the turf was from the MCG.

For Tigers fans still celebrating, they can buy a slab of full sealed slab of the Carlton Draught

Richmond Tigers Grand Final beer for $400 from a seller in Lynbrook, or shop around on eBay for significantly cheaper slabs including one at $52.

If that’s not enough souvenirs to mark Richmond’s Grand Final win, buyers can pick up a reserved seat ticket stub from the September 30 clash for $5.50 on eBay.

But it’s that old saying, buyer beware.

So what has this flag cost everyone?

For me the total is starting to accumulate:

$695 for limited edition 50 years at the MCG print by Jamie Cooper which is a great piece imho and totally worth it
$  89 for framed herald sun poster
$  40 for miniature premiership cup which has taken pride of place on the mantle piece.

I'm hoping that Jamie Cooper does a premiership print and I will buy that too if it comes out.

3 Slabs of a drink I would never touch $165
Dusty mini league 2d thing $160
Sherrin replica $180
Club merchandise tshirt for me and kids, 2 x mini premiership cup etc $300
Worth every cent though 👍

Ticket was just under $400

HUN poster, magazines

Ordered merch of $400 from RFC store but not delivered as yet. The watch isn't due to be available until late Oct. So who knows when i will get it

Was at Highpoint today called in to the AFL Store and was incredibly disappointed to see the difference in pricing between what RFC is charging to what i could buy at the AFL store. Every single piece of merch / memorabilia cheaper at the store. Picked up one of those mini premiership cups for $50, RFC charging $55 after members discount

Sorry but not good enough RFC

As for the quality of the clothing = ordinary at best. At the store $35 for those Knight T-shirts  (RFC charging $45) but poor quality. Seen tiolet paper thicker than the material in those T-shirts

Have tried it with alternate commentary. It doesn't quite synch up with the play unfortunately. Tried 3AW for half a quarter before it did my head in.

I don't mind Bruce anyway. Gets me up and about every time I watch the replay (although it may possibly be mostly due to us slamming 7 unanswered on  :thumbsup).

Club has added more merch to the online shop including the DVD packs people were asking about

see https://tigerland.shopdesq.com/premiers

It includes the GF, the other finals and season highlights it costs about $100 for non members and $90 for members

What is disappointing is the GF DVD is now selling for only $36 for members after they charged $50 on the Sunday after GF and the last 4 weeks on line & in the shop

Talk about ripping people off  ::)

So it sounds like it is going to be fixed. Might be a good idea to hold off for a while.

I was about to by the $100 pack from the club.

Can some one elaborate on this issue?

Ive received 1 of 5 items

Spoke to them last week to find out what the hell is going on

Was told that 3 of the remaining 4 itrms should be here by the end of this week

Final item (the watch) by the end of next week. Watches only came him last week and they were to start getting shipped this week sometime

She also said they never envisaged the demand to be so high. They ran ot of stuff, shipping warehouse couldn't cope etc. Said they had learnt but did apologise for the huge delays

In fairness its been 37 years since the last premiership, whilst you would expect the place to go gangbusters its gone beyond that.
Like frull nucrear exprosion gangbusters, a comment was made to me on Sunday by an opposition supporter that they have never seen so much merchanidise been sold after a Grand Final win, and for as long.

I missed out on a lot of things but, as that 4 week period of the finals cost me over a couple of grand. But I'm sure some nice artifacts from the GF will turn up at some stage

But still no sign of the stuff ordered 5 weeks ago  :-[ :P ::)

It is a shambles now

this was confirmed for me when I phoned the club on Wednesday to try and find out what was going on

I appreciate that this has been bigger than they anticipated but seriously the execution has been amateur hour

A fortnight ago I phoned (after 6 weeks) to find out where my order was. I ordered 5 items (t-shirt, cap, 2 DVD's and a watch). From the 5 I received the cap

I got told that I would receive the t-shirt and DVDs by week ending 3 Nov and the watch by w/e 10 Nov

When the 3rd rolled around and again nothing I phoned

I first phoned at 9.40am and ended up on hold for 20 minutes. I tried again (on and off) until 11.50 when I finally got through

gave the young lady on the phone the order number and her very first question? "Have you received any of this order?" What the? Alarm bells! Surely the system would show what's been delivered and what is on back ordered. Wouldnt' the store at Punt road and outside warehouse have the same info...clearly not it seems (will prove it further in moment)  :banghead :banghead

I explained what I had been told the fortnight previous to which she snapped the watches are not in and wouldn't be in until mid November. I said "so next week" and she said "no mid November" (please explain).

She then came up with this beauty "you need to understand that we have been let down by our suppliers". She told me this at least 6-8 times. I explained to her that any problems with suppliers is not my problem and I'd been let down by the club. 7 weeks is far too long without any explanation

She then said nothing she could do about the watches but "I suppose I can pack the rest of the stuff (dvds & t-shirt) and post it tonight"

Friday I get home from work and there is not 1 but 3 parcel cards in the letter box - knew what this meant immediately  ::)

Pick up said parcels yesterday

Parcel 1 = t-shirt sent by the incompetent warehouse

Parcel 2 = 1 dvd sent by the above mentioned incompetent warehouse; who knows when the 2nd one will turn up

Parcel 3 = 2 dvds and another cap sent by the club - no t-shirt to be found

Clear left (club) isn't speaking to right (warehouse) and the warehouse distributor (warehouse 101 the label says) which is a company that was given the gig for all clubs by the AFL are a bunch of nongs

And finally, while I was out grocery shopping last week the TSG store finally had some GF merch available. While the club chooses to sell a stubby holder for $14.95 or $13.60 for members my local TSG store is selling them for $6. I know the club is marking them up at a premium but seriously an almost $8 difference is a disgrace

Dear Michael,

Thank you for placing an order with the Tigerland Superstore. We sincerely apologise for the delay with your order and thank you for your patience.

The high demand for merchandise following our 2017 Premiership success has resulted in a delayed delivery. We are working as quickly as possible to fulfil your order with all delayed stock due to arrive in the first week of December.

We hate dropping the ball on customer service so we understand the frustration and inconvenience this may be causing. Once again, we sincerely apologise and appreciate your patience.

Please feel free to contact the Superstore on 1300 742 466 or tigerland@richmondfc.com.au if you have any questions.

This is why people should only buy from the superstore when the product is available in store and you go yourself and pick it up. I
know heaps of people who picked up all their memorabilia from other places within 3 weeks of winning the premiership. Even my
brother decided to spend hundreds of dollars but not at Richmond. Its such a shame, Richmond will lose heaps as a result of whats
happened. I wouldn't be surprised if people start asking for refunds.

Well I think my stuff arrived today. Got a card to go and collect a package from the Post Office, but got home after work too late to get it today.

Still waiting to see if the Superstore is going to restock with copies of the Grandfinal, or preferably the finals pack or full season set, on Blueray. Not holding my breath. Will probably end up buying it from one of the 5 local stores that are currently stocking it. Seriously, I live 4000km from Melbourne, and yet I can get these products in my local shops but not from the Superstore.

In case anyone wants to know................

After giving the club the benefit of the doubt for over 2 months, I have finally rung them to find out what the bloody hell is going on with my order. After waiting an hour on the phone, just spoke to someone in the merchandise section of the club. Was told the following:

1. The reason my order has been delayed is because I ordered a clash strip limited edition premiership jumper. Apparently the rest of my order would not be filled until it could all be sent out as one package!

2. These jumpers arrived at the warehouse late last week and the warehouse has promised stuff will be sent out before Christmas. The warehouse is a third party.

3. When the order is sent, I will receive a tracking number via email. It is likely that the order will be sent out the day before the tracking number is emailed.

4. When I asked why the club had not let anyone know what was going on I was told ""The club acknowledges that this issue could have been handled better." Arguably the understatement of the year.

5. If an order is not processed by Christmas, the person who placed the order will be phoned by the club to presumably apologise.

Vent time. Somewhat self indulgent, and I don't want to sound churlish because my son and I were lucky enough to get allocated GF tickets and saw us win the 2017 flag when so many missed out, but I am not happy Jan. I hope that someone from the club reads these pages and notes the following because no doubt there are plenty of other members with similar stories.

1. Just checked my email. I am yet to receive a tracking order, and given today is Tuesday, and that I live in regional WA, I guess I'll be getting a phone call for Christmas rather than the jumper the family wanted to give me. Every year the family buys me something from the superstore. They pay the premium price because they know I want to support the club. Reckon they'll be doing that again? I wouldn't bet on it!

2. Other items in that order were some Christmas presents for 2 kids who despite the marketing efforts of both the Dockers and West Coast Eagles, have stuck with their father and barrack for the Tigers. Both are club members since basically the day they were born. My 6 year old daughter has never seen the club play live. I'd like to say that is due to my brainwashing efforts, but they are good loyal kids, and while they will not know if the stuff doesn't turn up, they deserve a lot better from the club.

3. I get that the club has been let down by the stock of limited edition jumpers not arriving, and possibly by the warehouse as well. I get it, but would it have been too damn hard to have let us know what the hell was going on? Seriously, a simple email explanation, a phone call, a text, a media statement on the website. It wouldn't have changed the situation, but anything to let me know what was going on would have avoided a lot of unnecessary recent angst at my end.

From Peggy on the RFC website:

Where is my merchandise?

As I’m sure all members can appreciate, the Club sold an incredible amount of memorabilia and merchandise following the Grand Final win. Our staff are working overtime to get those orders fulfilled and delivered pre-Xmas. I understand that there has been some frustration but our merchandise team is working extremely hard to fulfil orders as quickly as possible. The fulfilment of some orders is also reliant on production and delivery of stock meaning some of these delays are unfortunately out of our control.

In just on 12 weeks I didn't receive one email from the club. Know so many people who like me did not hear from the club... so as I said you are one of the lucky ones

the only contact I had with the club was me ringing them to try and find out what was going on

Every call I made either got told I needed to understand that they had been let down by suppliers or I was given a date of when the stock was due in only find out the next call that I shouldn't have been told that and then given another date.

Hate to break it to them but no I don't need to understand their problems with suppliers, that's not my concern. I am their customer and the attitude I faced every call until last Friday was that I was bothering them. Their apparent lack of ability or willingness to understand the concept that we are ALL their customers was disappointing to say the least

Fortunately I was extremely lucky last Friday to speak to Matilda who as I said was sensational. She was so switched on and first and foremost actually apologised for the delays. Until that point not one person I spoke to at the club actually apologised for the delays. She was the first  :clapping

Hopefully the club has learnt something from this shambles because they have lost alot of goodwill and likely $$$ for that matter because of this

1. The reason my order has been delayed is because I ordered a clash strip limited edition premiership jumper. Apparently the rest of my order would not be filled until it could all be sent out as one package!

Obviously they've changed the way they are doing things as I ordered 5 things and received 4 deliveries

Quote
2. These jumpers arrived at the warehouse late last week and the warehouse has promised stuff will be sent out before Christmas. The warehouse is a third party.

The warehouse mob which all AFL clubs use as per a deal HQ at Docklands signed up to last year are in a word pathetic.

Quote

3. When the order is sent, I will receive a tracking number via email. It is likely that the order will be sent out the day before the tracking number is emailed.

I hope this is the case. Because for my 3 deliveries from the above mentioned pathetic 3PL (whse) I only ever received 1 tracking advice for the 1st delivery after that nothing

For my watch delivery last week that Matilda organised for me, she sent through a tracking advice number - did I mention that Matilda was brilliant to deal with?

Quote

I've already decided that I wont be buying any merch from the Club store in 2018. I usually spend between $200-$500 minimum but not in 2018. Suppose you can call it my protest. Matilda has restored some of faith but the other people I spoke to left me angry, frustrated and disappointed so.... the club misses out in 2018

Quote

As per me prvious post to Taz, you're not alone

In just on 12 weeks I never heard from the Club and they can paint whatever picture they like but it wasn't good enough

Still waiting here.

Didn't get a phone call before Christmas as I was advised I would.

I assume the warehouse was closed from Christmas until probably this week, so wasn't expecting anything to come since December 23rd.

No

Me either. Rang the club today and they told me it was being processed. They think it will be sent out later this week.

Whats in the club store doesn't mean a thing when it comes to the online store.

On line store is run by a 3rd party. Club doesn't process or send the online orders

Hence one of the  reasons for the GF merch debacle

My stuff turned up today, totally unannounced despite the fact I was going to be emailed or texted tracking numbers etc.

Finally going to get to read Konrad Marshall's book. Limited edition premiership jumper looks good, but all in all, feel pretty flat about it really.

Flicking through the GF Record that I finally got is like drinking really flat beer.
