A good time to review individual Tigers. First up is Vlastuin.
Floss in his 5th year of AFL played 16 games. It was season of two halves. Played 6 of the first 7 games averaging 10 possies per match before fracturing his scapula. Returned from injury in Round 17 and virtually doubled his disposal output from earlier in the year including 20+ possession games against GWS, Geelong at Simonds, Freo and St Kilda. His best rating game was the Qualifying Final against the Geelong where he had 19 disposals, 10 marks, 4 tackles and a goal in a dominant display across half-back.

How did we all rate Vlastuin's year?
-
Tormund was brilliant

Surprised to see his average stats were only on par with last years.
Was clearly more effective and dependable this year, one of those players you don't feel nervous with the ball in his hands
-
Is a star really. His intercept marking was a huge asset this year as team tried to shut down Rance and Astbury. Is a huge asset in the backline where he reads the play so weel and wins the ball at ground level too. So composed with ball in hand (Betts fumble aside) and a natural leader. hope he stays injury free.

Tormund Giantsbane.
-
Wonder if they'll try the midfield experiment again

:shh

Same average marks per game as last year, but I'd have thought he took a lot more contested marks this season. Has become a feature of his game, especially in the finals.

His Father is proud

Thought he stagnated in 2016
But improved greatly in 2017
His leadership shone through this year
-
2016 - ordinary
2017 - knocking on the door of elite

Playing great football in his rightful position.

Think that's probably a safe bet as we don't kick backwards and sideways as often now
-
Underrated player, the premiership will help give him the recognition that he deserves.
-
Like Prestia and Shed, slow start to the year, but once he came back from injury mid year he was a star of the side.
