Stengle for Butler and it would have made my day!
didnt make the emergency list
Garthy, B Ellis, Baker & Soldo did
-
Like the look of this side. Bit more speed and athletism.
-
Love those changes
:clapping McIntosh and Butler very lucky!
-
Dan Butler lucky I reckon. Hope he has a blinder Saturday
-
Reckon Butler survived because Castagna is injured
-
Great to see Moore in the side. Menadue deserved a recall. A pity Stengle not included.
-
Brandon the Undroppable is no more, long live Dan the Undroppable..... :clapping
Moore & Menadue..... :clapping :clapping
Stengle very stiff.... :shh
-
I guess they didn't want to make too many changes at a risk of destabilizing the team. But I am happy with the changes made
-
Rapted with the changes more speed and skill in.What are we expecting from Moore. Can take a grab great agility and below his knees l,but his kicking has it improved.

nah, kicking is still hit and miss to put it mildly, everything else he seems to have improved - hope he takes his chance.
I agree that Butler probably only survived bc Castagna is being rested. Needs to get back to basics and stop stuffing around
Wrapt that menadue and Higgins are back in.

Interesting that we've changed to a two tall forward line. Clearly we're going to trial it for now against bottom 8 opposition. I'd assume one will play deep and the other high up near the 50.
Happy to see Coffield out for the Saints. One of their few who has played well this year.

True Lebowski and even we tried to poach him not so long ago. However, Armitage was terrible last week against the Pies. Age and injuries looked to have caught up with him as he was very slow and continually got caught and turned over the footy. That's why the Saints have dropped him.

Reckon Butler survived because Castagna is injured
Got to be the only reason
-
Butler and Mac very lucky. Would have given Stengle a chance before Higgins. Rapt that Menadue is in hopefully he makes that wing position his own, can be an awesome line breaker with his speed.
-
Miles is stiff again. What does he need to do to get a gig? Is Conca a better player than him? I don’t think so and I’d take Miles ahead of him every time.
I think Macintosh is really lucky to still be playing seniors.
I also would’ve liked to see Stengle ahead of Higgins also just to mix it up and have a good look at what Stengle can do in the seniors.

We've made a late change to our team for tomorrow's #AFLTigersSaints clash with Brandon Ellis coming in for Dylan Grimes. Tyson Stengle is now one of the four emergencies.

Saints a real chance now with Brian Pannix down back... :shh
-
BEllis tank will hopefully allow him run all the way to Metricon come season's end.... :shh
Just been told he's a certainty to return this weekend :shh
Did quiz my source about this when Brando was named emergency last night. They responded with ';)'
Figured we'd keep it a surprise to keep the Saints unprepared but probably best to give them a heads up on the friday so they know what's coming for them tomorrow :shh
-
Yes now they know who to run through.... :shh
-
Wouldn't surprise me if they try to injure him to stop his influence. The kid is hungry :shh
-
Just the threat of contact is usually enough to stop him.... :shh
-
Doesn't want to get suspended :shh
-
....by his testicles..... :shh

Show some respect re B. Ellis. He is a premiership player, works hard and has a lot of positive attributes.
-
Have to say I'm confused by BEllis coming in for Grimes
Like for like would have thought Garthwaite was the way to go.
Seems strange

Needs to start respecting himself, his teammates and the jumper first... :shh

Probably dont think st kildas forward line requires another tall with rance, astbury, broad and vlas able to cover them and wanted to bring in more run.
-
I’d rather see B. Ellis on a wing than down back, as long as he takes them on with some run and carry and uses his right foot weapon to effect and kick it long into F50 like a true wingman should.
Macintosh is a bit all over the shop with his kicking and doesn’t get the ball enough for an outside runner IMO.

Armitage was a gun for a while there.

It's the equivalent of bringing in Adam Fiora for Glenn Archer when you have Glen Jakovich waiting in the wings.... :shh

The one thing Macintosh does consistently is use his big body to affect. He is relentless with his attack at his opponent. I agree he needs to get a bit more ball but he is safe at the moment IMO. We base our whole game plan on pressure and I think we can agree he does that just about as good as anyone in our side.
Not every player needs to get 30 touches. Sometimes 15 and some grunt work is better for our side.
-
We lacked run last week. Bellis in team for his run.
Broad, Rance and Astbury can cover their forwards. Houli, Short and Bellis can provide run and carry. Macca can go back if required.
-
No further late changes. Team as selected.
