Interestingly enough the three games that rated over 1 million people were all Richmond games....... :shh

We are when roughly 1 in 10 members of an AFL club is a Richmond member.

The AFL clearly doesn't rate the Friday night timeslot any longer going by what is being offered tonight.

Would rather watch 6 episodes of Big Bang Theory or Little Shelton or whatever

Knowing the AFL, I expect the opposite.

They know we attract a following whenever we play, so they are just as likely to give us a whole bunch of dead spots to try and lift their overall ratings.

Nope you will find Ch7 has more say on what games are in the prime FTA spots next season....

They pay a fortune for the rights they want bang for their buck...not getting it in 2018 will demand it in 2019

Agree they are not getting it in 2018, but I see that as evidence supporting my point.

Channel 7 and Fox would surely have had significant input into the scheduling of games this season. So how else do we explain the high number of poor match-ups on Friday night? They must have supported the fixture, including Carlton getting so many Friday night games.

I think they were trying to spread the load for viewer numbers.

One of the main decision makers at C7 is a mad blues supporter... say no more

These are Free to Air numbers.

The AFL would be getting more advertising revenue from Free to Air, personally I would like to see a Saturday afternoon game offered on Free to Air.

You may find that Foxtel had the greater say in what games it got exclusively this season as opposed to what Ch7 did. Example 7 wanted the recent Pies -v- Tigers game for a firday night but Fox wanted it as one of their exclusive games for 2018. Think we know who won that bout  ;D Overall Fox contribute more than 7, so in some cases they have a grester say

Even goofy Gil has admitted that the league pushed a number of games in the Friday night slot that they shouldnt have. Wont be doing it next year.
