Looks like we got through unscathed although Ellis copped a corky in the last.
Fire away with your changes?
-
Prestia took lots of pain killers to get through the game. Lots of very sore players in the rooms......
-
Good time to rest any sore players.
Stengle, Lloyd could come in
-
In: Moore, Butler and Bolton
Out: Towner, Baker, Prestia (rest)
-
lol...towner aint going anywhere

OMG Townsend was huge today. Great to see Bolton playing as a running HB as he really does need to work on his defensive work but in saying this, i am a huge fan of Bolton.
-
Butler yet another 2 weeks away
Unfortunately

wp reckon we are there.
2 games and % ahead of the pies
That being said we shouldnt rest any against the cats as we owe them another loss
i think gc is the game to take to rest a few.

Spot on Frank :clapping

Let's not kid ourselves, Townsend was useless for three quarters... :shh
-
Also I rhink we can safely say that the Grigg as second ruck tactic has well & truly outlived its usefulness..,..:shh
-
No resting for this game, need to get a 10 year run of wins before we can slack off
-

I agree. He wasn’t adding pressure at all in our f50 and laid only 1 tackle. Not good enough really. Needs to do better than that. He did help take out Howe which was good.

Did you watch on TV or live?
-
I just think with Macintosh and Townsend in the side, we are a lot tougher and harder side to play against.
Compare them to Menadue and Moore and it’s basically comparing boys to men. And come finals time, I know who I would rather in a big, tight close game.
It’s time to start settling our side for finals.
-
No change unless butler, graham or bachar are ready to return which from the sounds of it is not gonna happen this week.
-
McIntosh is becoming a liabilty. Kicks it to no-one, sells teammmates into trouble, no awareness, overruns the ball , fumbles. panics, turns it over, falls over, can't mark and how is a man of his size such a peeweak tackler?

Live. Any further questions? :shh

Townsend stays.
Thought B Ellis and McIntosh were poor.
Baker has the goods but is too raw.
Miss Butler's pace and Graham's toughness but if they aren't ready that's a shame.
Would be happy to see Lloyd or Miles get a run instead of Baker, Mac and B Ellis.
-
I agree that McIntosh has been passed. I also think that whilst Baker showed signs he is another preseason away and probably needs to
play another half season in the reserves before he gets another shot.

No further questions but it just confirms how some view the game :whistle

Townsend was a good foil to jack yesterday and will be better for the run.
The pressure yesterday was off the charts, Baker and Towner get another run for mine.
Only change maybe Prestia if he is too sore
-
Watched the replay this morning and Towner was giving Moore a footy lesson in the 1st qtr, funnily enough once Howe went off and Moore went to Jack, Towner slowed down. Did a lot of good things Towner, smart footballer. Will keep his spot. Baker just depends if Butler, Houli or Graham get up, youd think we'll probably err on the side of caution and not rush anyone back so baker probably plays again
-
Just finished watching the replay and Townsend was good yesterday imo. His first and last quarters were really good... His hardness can not be ignored but he is more than just hard, he is smart.
His block for Jack to take a mark and kick a goal early in the last doesn’t get a stat but is important.
Macintosh was good too. 20 touches and 4 tackles is decent stats for a wingman.

Hackintosh :shh

No changes
though, I'd look at giving Grigg a rest, forget the 2nd ruck issue he is just so slow these days; it's a worry
-
Prestia out with a fractured rib is what I am hearing.

Yup confirmed by Peter Burge, will miss 1 week. Graham and bachar look like still 1-2 away and butters 2-3.

Might as well drop Lambert as well now.... :shh

What's up Edwards.
Injuries mounting.

Players extremely sore after the game. Were wishing we were playing Gold Coast this week.... :shh

Out Prestia (inj), Macintosh (omitted)
In Miles, Naish or Menadue if fit.
I think they might keep KMac for Cats due to wet but deserves to be dropped.
Miles straight swap for Prestia in the wet.

Miles the mudder, loves the mud, loves the slop....
-
Good chance with the predicted wet weather to change the team and rest a few. Rance and Nank looked sore last weekend. Bring in Miles for Prestia, Soldo and unleash Balta. Don't need Rance so much with Hawk as their only tall forward.

Naish a chance to debut?

RICHMOND
Get them in: Callum Moore kicked five goals in the VFL on Saturday while Anthony Miles and Ryan Garthwaite were also impressive and Patrick Naish had 26 disposals as he maintains a run of positive form.
Under the pump: Debutant Liam Baker was OK in his first game with 12 touches without starring and could make way if the coaches decide to shake things up. Toby Nankervis is also looking desperate for a rest, but it's unlikely against the in-form Rhys Stanley.
Medical room: Dion Prestia will be a forced change after scans confirmed he fractured a rib in a big collision with Collingwood's Travis Varcoe. Brandon Ellis (corked thigh) and Alex Rance (glute) had sore spots treated during the game but are expected to play. Bachar Houli and Jack Graham are at least a week away from their AFL returns while Dan Butler is a little further off, while Shai Bolton is unavailable after suffering a minor knee injury at training last week.
Verdict: With the Cats to miss defender Tom Stewart, the Tigers might try to test them down back by recalling Moore. Garthwaite is there if Rance, and to a lesser extent Ellis, don't get up, while Miles is a bit more like-for-like for Prestia. Naish just won't go away – will the Tigers take a punt on another debutant on the big stage?

Dimma said today that Towner and Baker will keep their spots.
No Soldo as a second ruckman either. We're happy to stick with just one ruck in Nank.
------------------------------------------------------
Dion Prestia will miss with a fractured rib, with hard-nut Anthony Miles, who trained with the squad of 26 on Thursday, a chance to play just his second game for the season.
"He's in the squad, once again we'll see how training goes and after that, but last week was his first game back from a week or two off (with a concussion suffered in the VFL).
"What we know we'll get from Milesy is a huge contest if he comes in and plays. It's certainly part of the equation for us, to figure out who that is, but we'll see how that pans out this afternoon."
Callum Moore was omitted last week, returned to the VFL and kicked five goals, but Hardwick confirmed Jacob Townsend, along with last week's debutant Liam Baker, would hold their spots.
Others to take train with the senior squad who did not play last week were key back Ryan Garthwaite, running defender Corey Ellis, winger Connor Menadue and first-year player Patrick Naish, who Hardwick suggested was unlikely to play.

Premiership heroes Jack Graham (shoulder) and Dan Butler (ankle) are unavailable for at least another week, while Bachar Houli (groin) will return via the VFL on Saturday.
Anthony Miles is a chance to fill Prestia’s role after returning in the VFL last week.

Get the impression that it will only be Prestias replacement as the only change unless there’s another injury we don’t know about based on dimmas presser.
-
Rhys Stanley in some doubt according to Twitter.
