Rolled ankles can be bad and minor. Some recover well in a day or 2.Give him game time he needs it never know during finals.

A few of those bomber players are questionable at best in terms of fitness.

I think we needed to roll the dice with Conca, clearly the MC see him as best 22 - he needs gametime and with the vfl bye this week I think they had to take a punt. Hope for his sake he gets through unscathed.

Still think we'll win tomorrow

Laughable!
At peak fitness he is a plodder.
Half a game in 8 weeks is depression.

We have fit, young guys playing well in the 2’s and we decide to play Conca.
Surely even the Conca fans would agree this is a Richmond decision of about 5 years ago.

As I said, it laughable.

Coaching staff clearly rate him and are giving him the chance to get some miles in the legs. Whether you're a fan or not(Im not), I think we need to trust the MC here, they have good recent form with backing the right horse

Looking forward to seeing how we perform with the outs. Solid enough in's and some might be needed in the coming weeks should we have injuries. Welcome back Conca :clapping

Anyone running a book on what quarter will Plonka re-injure himself in? :shh

Stengle obviously not rated by the club.....hopefully doesn't bite us in the arse next year when he's at Adelaide or Port delivering them lace out in the forward line... :shh :shh

Conca was playing some good footy before injuries and I'm not his biggest fan either deserves to try and get back in our seniors.

While agree about his form before the injury; he was playing well

I'm just not a fan of half a game at VFL level and back in you come. We've spruiked all season about rewarding blokes with consistently good VFL form when opportunity present, this selection flies in the face of that

Agree. Stengle should have been given an opportunity. Also given the outs should have considered Miles.

The players performed got picked besides Miles.Ellis and Menadue had opportunity didn't take them.Conca I think is next cab in the in the line if they need him so game time important with vfl bye this week. Can be managed during the game to.

Remember when Dimma used to say "I have a wonderful player in Anthony Miles who can't get a game " in his weekly presser.
Now the midfield is missing 3 guns and he can't get a gig.

Looking at that, I feel we should be good enough to win this game. Question marks over the fitness over Conca and potentially Houli but if the club have picked them to play they will be confident that they are at the level.

I guess two games out from the close of the season and sitting on top of the ladder it is a massive opportunity for the inclusion to show their worth and make a case for selection in following weeks.

It's weird how we're on top of the ladder, the reigning premiers etc

and people still NEVER STOP CRYING ABOUT SOMETHING :shh

Cheers for that, Brando.

Always good to have a player’s perspective.

Conca  :gobdrop the Essendrugs will be up and about with the prospect of atleast 3 goals from critical turnover off his dodgy boot.  :lol he can always blame his bad ankles.  :rollin

Miles really has been given the least amount of respect I’ve seen since the time when Spud dropped Richo. It’s mindboggling he couldn’t be given a game with Cotchin, Lambert and Prestia out. He might lack the pace of those players but he knows how to win the footy and he performed in finals previously, he was arguably our best v north in 2015.

Conca, if we can remember, was putrid in all three finals he’s played for us.  :chuck

Clearly the coach doesn’t like Miles for some reason.

e.f.a

btw - Richo said on "Bob" last week that he deserved to be dropped back then.... :shh

I actually find Stengle's continued exclusion far more midboggling than that of Miles'.... :shh :shh

Could be that he kicks high bombs around the corner most often blindly resulting in turn overs. He does this a lot and could be another reason along with his lack of ability to cover the ground. I like Miles but he needs to look elsewhere next year.

Your description is Grigg to a tea.
He is one of Dimma’s favourites so he gets games.
Miles isn’t even one of my favourites but blind Freddy can see he has been treated badly by us.
Conca getting a game last night after half a game in the VFL is BS and can cause damage to a culture.
Not a great message imo to send young guys giving it their all to get a game.
