Richmond’s Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge's injury update:
Jack Graham, shoulder
"Jack’s going really well. It’s the same sort of rehab he had this time last year on the other shoulder, but he’s probably slightly ahead in terms of his conditioning. He’s doing some really good moderate speed running at the moment…he’s doing his strength work in the gym and building that. At this stage, it’s no contact training after Christmas during January with the aim of full contact around February."
Dylan Grimes, wrist
"Dylan’s going well…He’s only missed 10 days and is back running in rehab and will start with the group next week with some skills."
Alex Rance, knee
"Alex had a very minor scope a couple of weeks ago, just to clean up a little bit of soft tissue in his knee. He’s responded really well, he’s back running close to full speed and we’re going to gradually build his kicking and introduction to football over the next couple of weeks with the view of returning to training post-Christmas. But he’s on track and it’s looking really good for the pre-season competition next year."
Toby Nankervis, adductor
"Toby had groin surgery in the off-season…He was dealing with an adductor avulsion injury during the season, which took us about 12 weeks to get him back playing and then we had some minor interruptions towards the end of the season with that. That tendon that had come away from the bone had to be reattached post-season and he’s back running at about 50 per cent now. He’s feeling really good but we’re taking the longer-term approach and not rushing it…Where he’s at right now is really surprising us, he’s going really well."
Dion Prestia, Achilles
"Dion was managing a little bit of Achilles tendonitis late in the season, which he carried through the finals series. He was able to function really well in what he needed to do but we took the opportunity in the off-season to give him some time off legs away from running and build up some strength...He’s been running now for about five or six weeks and he’s building some really good volume in his training. He’s close to returning to the main group. It’s been a really good result and Dion’s the ultimate professional in everything he does, so he’s put himself in a great position."
Bachar Houli, calf
"Bachar in the off-season had a minor calf strain which we’ve had to manage for the last couple of weeks. Bachar’s now back running in the rehab group and we're just taking a cautious approach towards Christmas and hoping to get him back in with the main group after Christmas."
Shai Bolton, shoulder
"Right now, Shai is back in the rehab group. It was quite minor shoulder surgery, just a clean-up, and he’ll resume non-contact skills with the group starting next week."
Jake Aarts, groin
Luke English, Achilles
"Both Jake and Luke were carrying some minor niggles towards the end of last season through the VFL finals series. (The niggles) didn’t quire resolve over the off-season break so they’ve been back running for the last four weeks with the rehab group and are progressing nicely to come back in with the main group, most likely post-Christmas...But we’ll track them and see where they’re at over the next week or so."
Jack Higgins, brain bleed
"Jack had the brain bleed issue around June then had some surgery to try and fix that problem…eight weeks after that, he went in and had some major surgery where they went into the skull and fixed the problem. We got some great news a couple of weeks ago that the issue is now fixed and clear. During that time, he really hasn’t had a good break…So, we gave Jack a bit more time to come back to the Club when he was ready. He was coming in once a week but he’s got in touch with us this week and said he’d like to resume back full-time which is great news…Jack’s really looking forward to getting back and we'll progress his training carefully through the Christmas period and the new year."

Several Tigers facing delayed start to pre-season
Sam Edmund,
Sunday Herald Sun
December 8, 2019
Bachar Houli has copped a soft tissue setback, with a calf strain during the off-season delaying his preparation for 2020.
While the Tigers said the injury was only minor, Houli, 31, is one of at least seven first-choice Tigers facing a delayed start to pre-season training.
This year’s All-Australian halfback is not scheduled to resume fully until after Christmas.
But Toby Nankervis has surprised the Richmond medical staff with his recovery from groin surgery after the ruckman played through the discomfort in a late-season return that saw him feature in all three finals.
“That tendon which had come away from the bone had to be reattached post-season, a little higher, where it was meant to be,” Tigers physical performance manager Peter Burge said.
“He is back to running at about 50 per cent now and he’s feeling really good, but we’re taking the longer term approach and not rushing it.
“That was a great result at the end of last season for Toby to be able to play in the finals series with what he had, but we needed a little bit of minor surgery, or major surgery, in the off-season.
“But where he’s at now is surprising us. He’s going well.”
Rest has appeared to cure Dion Prestia’s achilles tendinitis issues, with the midfielder close to rejoining the main group after resuming running five weeks ago.
The Grand Final’s hard luck story, Jack Graham, won’t be ready for contact training until February, but Burge said the rugged midfielder was ahead of schedule.
“He’s doing moderate speed running at the moment. He’s still got some limitations with the range in his arm so we won’t progress his speed until he can swing that arm a bit further,” he said.
Shai Bolton will resume non-contact skills training next week after he underwent a less serious shoulder operation.
Star defender Alex Rance continues his recovery from a knee reconstruction, rebounding well from a minor arthroscope.
“He’s back to running at close to full speed,” Burge said.
“We’re going to gradually build his kicking and introduction to football over the next couple of weeks with the aim of returning to training after Christmas.
“But he’s on track and it’s looking really good for the pre-season competition next year.”
The Tigers also got some good news on Jack Higgins, with the goalsneak ready to return to the club full-time after undergoing brain surgery in September.
“We gave him more time to come back to the club when he was ready. He was coming in once a week, but he got in touch with us this week to say he would like to resume full-time which is great news,” Burge said.
“We met Jack a couple of weeks ago with the doctor and he was in great spirits, but just needed a bit of extra time. He’s been conditioning off-site with our conditioning staff.
“We’ll progress his training carefully through the Christmas period and new year.”

Man that's good news about Higgins. I hope they ease them all in and we have a slow start so they peak at the end of the year. Rest Nank for a few weeks, Houli too. Just start slow.

Where's your club at? Injury list, training latest, who's flying

RICHMOND
As reigning premier, the Tigers had a relatively late return to training, with senior players only starting back at the beginning of December. They're consequently quite some way off match simulation. There's been one major change in the coaching ranks, with VFL premiership coach Craig McRae replacing the departed Blake Caracella as an assistant.
Injury list
Jake Aarts: Was carrying a minor groin injury during the VFL finals series and has been eased back to training. Looking like re-joining the main group after Christmas.
Shai Bolton: Needed a small shoulder clean-up during the off-season and is now set to resume contact work.
Luke English: In a very similar situation to Aarts, but with an Achilles complaint.
Jack Graham: Had a shoulder reconstruction after his preliminary final heroics. Has returned to moderate-pace running, and is aiming to be back in contact work by the start of February.
Jack Graham feels the pinch in a tough training session. Picture: AFL Photos
Dylan Grimes: Needed a minor wrist cleanout following the end of the season, but the operation was delayed for his wedding. Back doing skills work.
Bachar Houli: After a comparatively injury-free 2019, the soft-tissue injury-prone Houli suffered a minor calf strain over the off-season. Given his history, the club is being cautious and he will return to full training post-Christmas.
Jack Higgins: Has been on a part-time program following his second bout of surgery on a brain bleed, and took some time away from the club separate to the off-season. Is now ready to return and will be gradually integrated into the main program over the new year.
Toby Nankervis: Required another surgery on his troublesome groin/adductor region over the off-season, after the muscle tendon which was operated on mid-year needed to be reattached again. Another one being treated cautiously, he's back running and will gradually build.
Dion Prestia: The club's best and fairest carried Achilles tendinitis into the AFL finals series and so was given time "off legs" during his holidays. Has gradually built his running loads and is very close to rejoining the main group.
Alex Rance: Was on track to make a return to full training in the new year and take part in the Marsh Community Series, but shocked the football world when he announced his retirement on Thursday, effective immediately. At this point, will stay on the list for the 2020 season.
Christmas break
Players finished up on Friday and will return on January 13. Gold Coast will once again be the destination for the 2020 pre-season camp, held in late January.

Richmond’s Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge with the latest injury report:
Kamdyn McIntosh, ankle
"Going back to the Gold Coast camp, Kamdyn was in an incident where he got his ankle caught and was twisted. At the time, it wasn't looking great, he did a little bit of damage around his syndesmosis in his ankle. He has had previous surgery on that same ankle which has probably saved him this time, and a longer-term injury has turned into hopefully a four to five-week injury. Right now, he's back running at about 90 to 95 per cent and we're looking to integrate him back into the skills program sometime next week…He's probably unlikely for the Marsh Series 1, but the second game in Wagga is a real possibility for him."
Jack Graham, shoulder
"Jack’s resumed full contact training this week. He was doing a little bit last week, has done a little bit more this week and next week we'll do absolutely everything. We're targeting the second Marsh Series game for Jack Graham to return to the team."
Toby Nankervis, adductor
"Toby had surgery back in the off-season on his groin and it's been a really slow, steady progression over the pre-season. Toby’s just starting integrating into some football training in the last two weeks. We haven’t reached full training status yet but we're looking to get closer to that next week. At this stage, I'd say he's less likely for Marsh Series 1, and more likely for the second game."
Jake Aarts, groin/hip
"Jake has been managing some groin and hip issues over the off-season and has had a progression over the pre-season. He’s resumed close to full training in the last two weeks and he’ll be available for some match practice over the next two weeks."
Shai Bolton, shoulder
"Shai had off-season surgery and he was no contact for the majority of the pre-season. He’s been in full contact training now for the last two weeks so he’s available for selection once the games start."

Jack Graham Shoulder Test
Kamdyn McIntosh Ankle Test
Toby Nankervis Adductor Test
Updated: Tuesday, March 3
Early prognosis
Graham, McIntosh and Nankervis have been slated to play in Sunday's Marsh Community Series clash with GWS after a slow build-up from pre-season injury concerns. Meanwhile, Jack Higgins made a successful return after brain surgery in Sunday's loss to Collingwood. – Jennifer Phelan

Toby Nankervis had groin surgery in the off-season and has been limited in his preparation, however, is likely to play in the Marsh Series this weekend. Having struggled with the problem in the first half of last season, don’t be surprised if the Tigers tread carefully with him early in 2020. Kamdyn McIntosh is recovering from an ankle issue while Jack Graham (shoulder) is close to full fitness. Both could play against the Giants in Wagga Wagga this Sunday.
Verdict: No major injury concerns for the reigning premiers.

RICHMOND
The Tigers enjoyed a charmed run with injury last summer and have continued to keep a clean bill of health throughout the suspension period. Bachar Houli was the only player to go into isolation with a significant injury issue, having hurt his calf on the eve of the season. However, having returned to full training before round one, the defender should be fit to resume when teams return to action. Nick Vlastuin should also be OK, despite dealing with concussion symptoms prior to competition being suspended. - Riley Beveridge

Peter Burge's latest injury report:
Dustin Martin, ribs
"Dustin last week trained but non-contact during the week, and we made the decision late that he wouldn't play. This week, he'll resume training and we'll asses how he trains during the week but I'm pretty confident we'll see him playing again on the weekend."
Dion Prestia, corkie
"He got a corkie during the game and he was pretty sore at the time but ran the game out and has pulled up really well so he'll train fully this week."
Will Martyn, foot
"Will a couple of weeks ago felt some pain during an intraclub in his foot and scans subsequently showed that he had a stress reaction...He's been in a boot for a couple of weeks but has just come out of it...We'll progress him to the Alter-G treadmill this weekend, give him a week of progression there and then resume training the following week. Being a first year player, we'll take a cautious approach, so he's still a couple of weeks away from match play."
Bigoa Nyuon, shoulder
"During the Collingwood scratch match two weeks ago, Biggy hurt his shoulder in the last five minutes and had a little subluxation of the shoulder joint. So we've had to take him out of match play for the time being and do some strengthening work on that shoulder for a couple of weeks and we'll look to resume training in the next two weeks. He'll be no contact this week and next week and then we'll progress that contact training so he's still a couple of weeks away from resuming match play."

Injury report from Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge:
David Astbury, knee
"David had an incident in the game where he came down from a marking contest and had a little bit of a subluxation of the patella…He felt some discomfort with that and we checked him and he was having a bit of an issue with landing and hopping. But we got him back out there and he was able to function for the rest of the game...(He) had some scans on Sunday and there’s a little bit of loose fragment of articular cartilage which had come off behind the patella which needs to be removed. So he’s going into surgery today (Tuesday) and will probably miss around 4-5 weeks."
Josh Caddy, glute
"Josh had a small incident with his glute during the game in a contest. He’s just got a very minor glute strain in one of the small muscles. But he’ll be fine to train this week and play this weekend."
Dustin Martin’s return
"Dusty’s pulled up fine. He got through the game so he’ll have full training this week and be available to play this weekend again."

They couldn't. Under the exemption clubs were given they had to be in QLD by midnight Monday. Any player travelling after that date has to abide by standard 14 quarantine day rules not the tweaked ones in place.
Have no issue with what they have done.

Richmond’s Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge's latest injury report:
Tom Lynch, hand
"Tom flew in (Monday) night and he's got a bit of plaster on his hand at the moment that will come off over the next couple of days. It's unlikely he'll play on Sunday but we're not going to rule him out completely at this stage. He did an amazing job getting through the game on the weekend and didn't show too much pain during the game, and functioned and performed really well. So we'll assess later this week and we'll make a judgement call whether he plays Sunday or not."
Dion Prestia and Toby Nankervis, ankle
"Both players suffered syndesmosis ankle sprains which are a high ankle sprain...They've had surgery Monday afternoon...which will help stabilise the ankle and they'll be in plaster and a boot for a week or so and then hopefully back functioning in two to three weeks...It's a medium-term injury. We've had a couple of players in the past with this injury and some have got back in four to five weeks and some have taken longer. It's a very individual rehab and recovery process so we'll be able to update everyone in a couple of weeks with how they're tracking. But they're back in Melbourne doing their rehab program.
David Astbury, knee
"Dave's going really well. Dave will probably start some light running later this week, he's tracking a little bit ahead of schedule...We've just got to continue building the strength in his knee. He's walking around pain free and he's functioning really well."
Trent Cotchin, hamstring
"Early in the fourth quarter, Trent came from the field and reported some awareness with his hamstring and we decided to wrap him up at that stage. We've had scans on Monday morning and it just showed that he has a very minor hamstring strain. We expect at this stage that it's going to be a very short-term injury but given Trent's history over the last 12 months we'll be very cautious not to rush him back in. At this stage, we'll say it's short-term but we'll reassess over the next one to two weeks."
https://www.richmondfc.com.au/news/739379/injury-report-round-6
-
There are typically only four or five syndesmosis injuries in an entire season, so the high number this year is startling.
It's all happening despite shorter quarters – 16 minutes and time on – and longer breaks between goals and between terms for recovery purposes.
The problem, Lobo said, was contact and high-speed running were still major parts of Australian Football, so the quarter reduction may aid performance more than it mitigated injuries.

Biggie's shoulder's gone from a 3-5 week injury to season ending.... :huh
-
Just reflects Biggie is a first year tall with a shoulder in a shortened season with no VFL who wasn't going to be playing AFL. Presumably, he didn't go up to the hub so 5 weeks plus 2 more weeks in quarantine is season ending.
The concern with that long injury list is we are screwed if another defender goes down :help.

Injury Report: Round 10
By Richmond Media - 1 day ago
Dion Prestia and Toby Nankervis, ankle
"(They're progressing) really good. Toby's going great, he started running a couple of days ago and looks fantastic. So, we're expecting his progression will be fairly solid over the next week or so, he's not too far away. He's running and feeling really good. Dion is a little bit behind Toby at this stage. He'll start running this week but he's been doing a lot of walking and his strength exercises, so he's progressing well."
Nick Vlastuin, calf
"Nick trained today (Sunday) with the group and did some running two days ago as well. It was very minor and it was a tough decision not to play him (against the Bulldogs) because he wasn't too bad. But with the three games in the space of 10 days, it was just the right call. But he'll play on Tuesday night."
David Astbury, knee
"As we said a week ago, we hadn't been able to progress with his training. This particular cartilage damage behind his patella can be quite tricky, you need enough time for that to fill in."
Josh Caddy, hamstring
"We're aiming for the Port Adelaide game for Saturday for Josh, but he needs to fully train all this week and we'll confirm his availability after our main session on Thursday."
Ryan Garthwaite, groin
"With 'Garthy' we've been managing some groin pain over the last couple of weeks and it hadn't really progressed. But in the last week he's made some good strides with that. Today, he trained with some intensity in our rehab group. So, we'll look at progressing him back into the main group next week."
Callum Coleman-Jones, foot
"We had some not-so-good news with Callum late last week. He was feeling some pain in his foot and we went and got a scan and he's got a very minor stress reaction in his third metatarsal. We didn't need to put him in a boot and he's feeling better already. It should be a couple of weeks and then he can resume training."
Bigoa Nyuon, shoulder
"'Biggie' had an incident a few weeks ago with his shoulder, recovered quite well and was back with our training group in Melbourne. He then had another little minor one and we decided to get the shoulder surgery done (now) rather than wait until the end of the year, with no football being played in Melbourne. He's had surgery this week and will be on a three to four month rehabilitation process setting him up for next season."

Richmond midfielder provides update on injured ankle
By Andrew Slevison
SEN
13 August 2020
Reigning Richmond best and fairest Dion Prestia has issued an update on how he is tracking with his ankle injury.
The star midfielder sustained a syndesmois injury in the Round 5 win over Melbourne and has spent most of his time in rehabilitation in Melbourne following surgery in early July.
Prestia is now in the club’s Gold Coast hub and back on light running duties ahead of a potential return in three to four weeks.
“It’s slowly progressing,” he told Jack Riewoldt on SEN’s Tiger Time.
“Obviously I was out of the Richmond hub. I was in my own hub with Toby Nankervis and I’ve done four AlterG runs, which pretty much takes your weight on a treadmill.
“Hopefully Saturday it will be (running) on grass and it will progress even quicker.
“I’m hoping it’s about three or four weeks from now.
“If it progresses well over the next couple of weeks. They said it’s a quick progression once you start running.”
That would have the two-time premiership on-baller back in the Tigers line-up in early September in either Round 15 or 16, depending on what happens with the AFL fixture which is still to be confirmed beyond Round 13.
There is further good news on the injury front for Richmond with premiership ruckman Nankervis, who has also been out with a syndesmosis strain, earmarked for a return against Essendon on August 22.
“Nank’s not far away, Tiger fans,” Riewoldt said.
“I think he maybe a chance for the Essendon game, so we are starting to get some troops back.”
Captain Trent Cotchin is expected back on Monday night to play against Gold Coast after he was rested last weekend following his return from a hamstring injury while star defender Bachar Houli is now in the hub after two weeks of quarantine. He could also play against the Suns.
The Tigers currently occupy sixth position on the ladder as they look to stay in touch with the top four when they meet the Suns at the Gabba.

Early prognosis
The Tigers suffered no new injuries from Monday night's win over Gold Coast. Bachar Houli didn't play despite completing his two weeks of quarantine, but should return to face the Bombers. Nankervis will also be in the mix, but Prestia remains a couple of weeks away in his recovery from an ankle syndesmosis injury. Astbury is still recovering from his knee setback and hasn't resumed training. The club is hopeful Edwards will join the group in early September, which means he'll be available in the final round of the home and away season after completing his 14 days of quarantine.

Injury Report: Round 15

Dylan Grimes - Hamstring - Short term
Ryan Garthwaite - Groin - Short term
David Astbury - Knee - Medium term
Dion Prestia - Ankle - Medium term

Richmond’s Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge's latest injury report:
Dylan Grimes, hamstring
"Dylan was outside today (Saturday) doing some strides at around about 80 per cent, so we’ll progress that in the next session. The injury is on the minor end of the scale and it’s something that he has managed in the past. It’s an irritation of the lower part of the hamstring, on the medial side.
"At this stage, he’ll definitely miss the Fremantle game and we’ll reassess next week with where he is at and whether he’s available for the Geelong game."
Dion Prestia, ankle
“Dion had to go back in (for a minor procedure) and have a little clean out and get on an intravenous drip to clear up some infection that had occurred with his ankle. He’s seeing the surgeon on Monday and we anticipate he’ll start running on Tuesday, and then we’ll progress his running program over the next couple of weeks.
“The actual original injury looks really good, but unfortunately the infection caused a bit of a disruption to our rehab plans. At this stage, we’re looking potentially at the last game or probably finals, realistically. We’re not sure about the pre-finals bye yet, but if that does happen, it will buy us an extra week. With scrimmage games each week, we could look at playing him in one of those to build his match fitness, or straight back into the team.”
David Astbury, knee
“Dave has ticked off all the conditioning components of his recovery … but there are just some more specific strength and football-related things that he still had been a bit uncomfortable with last week, that he’s a little bit better with this week. Kicking being one of those.
“We’ll build that up over the next week and reassess again towards the Geelong game. He certainly isn’t available this week for the Fremantle game, and potentially next week. He has made some really good progress, but given he hasn’t played since the St Kilda game in Round 4 – it is seven or eight weeks now - we are being very careful with his return date.”
Callum Coleman-Jones, foot
“’CJ’ had some bone stress in his foot a few weeks back. The last two-to-three weeks he’s been in a conditioning phase preparing him to play again. He’ll be available for selection next week.”
Ryan Garthwaite, groin
“He’s been going really well recently. A couple of weeks back, ‘Garthy’ played in a scrimmage game with Essendon and did extremely well, but pulled up a little bit sore, so we backed off again for another week and we’ve slowly built him up. He probably won’t be available this coming week, but we’re certainly looking at the week after being available for match play.”

So Dave Astbury looking ok now.
-
How sweet would it be to get Dave and grimes back for Geelong. In saying that if the saints were to beat the eagles on Thursday, I’d give grimes another weeks rest regardless.
-
I would play Dave against Cats & Crows. Hawkins & Tex perfect match ups as they don't move around that much.

Early prognosis
More off-field issues at the Tigers with Stack and Coleman-Jones returning to Victoria after copping 10-match bans following a breach of the AFL's COVID-19 protocols. In better news, Grimes and Lambert should be available for Friday night's blockbuster against Geelong. Caddy will be touch and go with his hamstring issue and may play a scratch match instead. Edwards will be available for round 18 after serving his 14 days of quarantine, but Astbury and Prestia look unlikely to feature before finals. - Ben Sutton

The Tigers are hopeful of a return for Dion Prestia in the finals as he recovers from his ankle injury. Prestia is aiming to play some of a scrimmage game during the pre-finals bye week.
"He's moving really well. We think he's turned the corner, we're really excited by his progress and Dion himself is a lot more bullish about where he's at now," Hardwick said.

Richmond’s Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge's latest injury report:
Ivan Soldo, ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and medial ligament
“Really disappointing for the big fella, he’s going to be out for an extended period of time. He is seeing the surgeon this week and he will have surgery over the coming weeks, possibly up here on the Gold Coast.
“It’s obviously disappointing for Ivan, he was having such a great year. We will start his rehabilitation process over the coming weeks after his surgery.”
Tom Lynch, hamstring
“Tom had a very minor incident out on the far wing of the ground. He has never had a hamstring strain before, so he came to the bench saying he thinks he cramped, or something maybe a little bit worse than that.
“We did a little bit of testing and he had a little bit of a tiny nick in the hamstring, and scans have shown the same result. But it is on the minor end of the scale.
“He did some strides today running at about 50-60 per cent and had minimal awareness, so we are feeling pretty good about where that’s going to end up over the next week.”
David Astbury, knee
“David played 48 minutes in the scrimmage against Geelong on Saturday ... and it went really well.
“He is available this week for selection, whether that’s AFL or scrimmage, that’s up to the coaching group. He just needs to have another really good week of training and then we will assess his availability from there.”
Dion Prestia, ankle
“Dion’s going really well. Dion’s clocking up some kilometres, and running at a really good speed, at high speed and borderline sprint at the moment.
“He will introduce in some football skills later this week and we are planning to obviously increase that next week, and hoping if all goes well to play (him in) some sort of scrimmage practice in the bye week between the last game and the finals.”
Shane Edwards
“Shane was great today. Shane’s in great shape; he has had a long pre-season back in Melbourne and then two weeks in the quarantine hub training with the boys from the other clubs.
“He’s raring to go, he is desperate to play, and providing he has a good week of training with us, then he will be available for selection on the weekend.”

Didn’t Biggy play on the weekend?
-
Richmond’s Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge's latest injury report:
Dion Prestia, ankle
"Dion trained with us last Friday. He's been training for a couple of weeks now, but last Friday we did a bit of an internal practice match and he participated in the whole game and has pulled up really well. So he'll be available for selection this week."
Shai Bolton, corked calf
"Shai trained fully last Friday in the practice match that we had, and he'll be available for selection as well this week."
Tom Lynch, hamstring
"Tom's tracking really well. Tom has been running at high intensity for the past week, and on Saturday he completed a fairly strong session with high intensity running and some football. Tom's going to join in to a little bit of skills on Monday, and we'll make a decision later in the week as to his availability for this week's game."
Josh Caddy, patella tendon soreness
"Josh, going back to the Adelaide game, had an incident during the game and was quite sore at half-time. We taped him up and he went back on the ground after half-time. He was a little bit sore through his patella... He started running again yesterday (Saturday) and actually was a lot better than expected, so we'll look at him joining some training this week, and we're hopeful he is available, but we'll make a decision later in the week as well."
Jake Aarts, shoulder soreness
"Jake came off late in the Adelaide game with a knock to his AC joint, and was quite sore. Given we've had the bye and a little bit of time for that to settle, he'll fully train this week and be available for selection."
Jack Higgins, calf
"Jack came off with a very minor calf strain against Brisbane in the scratch match last week. He'll miss this week then go through a very short-term rehab process and hopefully be available the following week
