Perhaps it has something to do with his car being stolen and needing to stay in Melbourne to sort that out?

Don't think so, as I'm sure the bloke on crutches is on a moon boot. There was a oic the other day of Gibcus and there were no crutches :-\

Which is even more perplexing if true. As far as I know Gibcus did a serious hammy, while I could buy that maybe he needs crutches so soon after surgery, having a moon boot or a cast doesn’t add up. Either he’s had something else fixed up since he was going to be on the sidelines anyway or it’s a different player that’s done something serious that hasn’t been reported.

It's Kaleb Smith. He's the one with the headband in the group shot at the end of this video. If you look closely, he's holding crutches.
