3 - Bowden
2 - Richo
1 - Ottens

3 of our best 5 all year. (with Brown & Johnson)
I've been mystified as to why many say we should trade them, but I think I know why now.
They're the only players we would get something for. :) :(

3 - Bowden
2 - Richo
1 - Zantuck

Can't give Ottens a vote seeing how we hardly won one stoppage
The Saints have a great work ethic - gave us a big lesson in footy

3. Bowden - 188cm our tallest backmen and the Saints whinged all week about losing their talls!
2. Richo - never stopped trying. I would have forgiven him if had spat the dummy a couple of times.
1. Johnno - gives 100%, although some of those turnovers are costly.

Special mention to the match committee for finally dropping Chaffey!

I was thinking about only giving votes to all the young blokes - Hartigan, Jackson etc but though that would be a disservice to a couple of others.

3 - Richo - isn't it funny that since he stopped being in the "leadership" group he has shown more leadership ;)
2 - Johnson - make him Captain now - he showed leadership especially in the 3rd - his attack on the ball was great
1 - Bowden - you've almost won me over

Special mention to Daniel Jackson - great debut.

The Golden Turnup - well with the player who has been the most nominated in the GT - appearing for Coburg this week I have given this weeks nomination to Justin Blumfield - let me spell it out for you ....

S...H...O...C...K...I...N...G

Altogether now - SHOCKING >:( >:( >:(

PS: Aaron Fiora came very close in getting the GT nomination too :-\

I think one of the greatest things about these awards is the diversity in people's opinions. I must say that I disagree with anyone who gives Otto a vote.....he was an utter disgrace (that goes for anyone in the ruck today around any stoppages)....

My votes:

3 - Richo :: Lone Wolf, some of his second efforts were a big improvement and resulted in some clever goals, could have kicked more;
2 - Bowdo :: Was not effective...but got to much of it to be ignored;
1 - Moore :: Presented all day and was a target until Dud decides to bench him for whatever reason

Its been hard to give votes the past two weeks considering we have been outplayed on all facets. In both weeks, I have only been assured of Richo getting votes because I know that at the end of the day he is the only one who has beaten his man.

I got to see a commercial-ridden replay of the game. :P  The players who stood out for me were:

3. Hartigan – The Little General (with the big Heart)
2. Jackson
1. Moore

They weren’t necessarily the most effective or best, but they showed some real promise.

Especially Hartigan.  He seemed to get better as the game went on and his confidence and enthusiasm never seemed to wane.  8)

As has been mentioned, Jackson looked pretty comfortable out there.

Kel Moore still looks pretty raw, but did some good things.

Seemed like the young players didn’t come on and off as has been the case in the past.  They really seemed to get a good go.

I know Richo should get votes for his 6 goals, but when you are the forward half, I guess you’re going to get the opportunity to kick them.  Could understand if he was frustrated with the delivery, but he seemed to do no better when he was up the ground and kicking forward.

Bowden gets lots of kicks, but very little he does seems to stand out.  I mark him pretty hard and maybe I should open my other eye, but …

You can disregard my votes if you like one-eyed, coz that’s not how the voting is supposed to work, but I look for players who add some spark, life and enthusiasm to the team, because that’s what we sadly lack.  And the efforts of experienced players to get possessions at will seems to get us nowhere, week after week.

It would mean more if their efforts inspired those around them to build some momentum, but I guess some of them have just been in the Richmond system too long for that to happen. :'(
