Have been posting back on PRE for a good month now and noticed there were many people absentee. I see here there are many old friends and acquaintances. Glad to see that you are all alive and available to chat Richmond again.

Thanks for the welcoming guys. Cricket is going well here for me on a personal level bt on a team level not so good. Not long til it is all over and I come back to Oz. Looks like I didnt miss much of a season tiger wise, is easier to take from this far away.

Hi and welcome Shawry. If you or anyone has been away for a while, you don’t have to worry about having missed anything on the footy field. A good time to be away really and a good time to be coming back. :thumbsup

If you were wondering why the life had been sucked out of PRE, its because all the talent has moved on here to OER. Look forward to reading your posts.

Hey shawry! :) Playing cricket in OS has definitely saved you from witnessing a wretched season. The positives are we've got a new coach, some good young kids and top picks. The only way is up after Saturday :thumbsup.
Welcome aboard and glad you found OER. Cheers, MT. :cheers

I'm playing a bit of cricket over here too. I was bowling in a village game the other day and the umpire kept calling no-balls when I wwas straying down leg-side. I've developed a bit of a problem overstepping when running in on these undulating English outfields, so I turn around and give him a mouthful:
"What the hell are you doing? Are you calling wides or no-balls?"
He only had one arm.

IS that for real? Surely not. I know im a gullible fella.

Deadly serious. I was only filling in for my mates village team, and it was my first over, opening the bowling, so i hadn't really seen the umpire. His 'empty' sleeve was tucked into his pocket.

ROFLMFAOOOOO Jake, better that you foundthat out whilst bowling wides rather than being hit for six.
-
would only get 3 runs, lol
-
That is funny. Poor umpire. Comedy on the field though, good cricket story. Where are you located mate?
-
Live and work in Cambridge.

OK mate. Good work. Lots of uni kids there mate, all good I am sure. Weather is crap here mate, big bursts of rain, I am sure you are getting it too. Am supposed to be playing a touch Aussie Rules version tonight at Acton Town here in London but am thinking of giving it a miss with al lthis rain around. Will meet my mate at Acton Town tube and see what happens. Hopefully my fitness can hold out tonight, wasnt too good lasttime. I am fast bowler cricket fitand that is about all.
