I thought we dominated the second and last quarters but failed to convert it onto the scoreboard especially in the second. We should have been at least level with the Dogs at half-time on general play.
Poor quality game though. The doggies in particular Ray made many mistakes bringing themselves down to our level. We just made more.
Lids was off with some injury before coming back on according to Ch 10.
After quarter time we actually tried to play decent modern footy as far as running and carrying the ball which was a vast improvement on the previous 3 weeks. Problem was we have blokes who can't hit even basic targets. Chaffey defensively was alright but he couldn't hit someone on the full with a pass
. At this level you can't just pop it up and bounce it in front of your leading teammate.
Tambling, Raines and Krak were the sparks that got us going. Blingers finally used his pace to advantage and matched it with intensity which has been missing the last month.
Richo worked his guts out as usual. He was totally stuffed by the end.
Hopefully Pettifer's last quarter is a sign he's rediscovered his early season form even if he gets rubbed out.
