Eng 4/305 at stumps.

174 run unbroken stand between Malan 110* & Bairstow 75*.

Aussies pay for dropping catches :facepalm.

I was so happy when that catch went down. Even if I did feel very bad for Hazlewood.

Aussies 2/82

Bancroft and Warner both got starts but didn't go on with it.

Aus 3/179

Khawaja just out for 50. Not a No.3 as he continually fails to turn middle scores into centuries.

Aus 4/314 at lunch.

Smith is a runs machine. Yet another century - 139*  :clapping. While he stays out there, we could reach even 600.

Well, Mitch Marsh has proven the selectors right and the rest of us wrong  :o.

Aussies 4/549 .... a lead of 146 runs.

Smith     229*
M.Marsh 181*

An unbeaten partnership of 301 runs.

Aussies 7/643 at Lunch.

M.Marsh 181
Smith     239
Starc        1 (run out)
Paine      41*
Cummins 36*

We're going the smash now with a 240 run first innings lead.

There's a long crack opening up down the middle of the pitch. When the ball hits it it keeps low and slows up. The reason Smith was out lbw. It wouldn't surprise me if we declare given the weather forecast of showers later in the day.

Let's hope the rain doesn't wash out today  :pray. Given how England's tail has crumbled this series, if we can break this Malan & Bairstow partnership, then we should knock over the remaining wickets pretty quickly.

Okay, so it sounds like they are aiming for a midday restart, with lunch then at 1pm, tea at 3.40pm. That's time enough for 60 overs to be bowled before the last hour... Time enough for Australia to get the job done and reclaim the urn?

http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/10883/game/1072307/australia-vs-england-3rd-test-eng-tour-of-aus-and-nz-2017-18/

So that would be a 3pm start AEST.
